My Walmart had lots of them. We got there around midnight, and were very close to the front of the line.

I just saw Walmart posted on their facebook page that

 

Each store will have a minimum of 100 DSs.

 

Also I talked with whomever if running the FB page, they won't give any info as far as limit etc, they said it is best to check with your local store

If you miss out at WM, KMart has them for the same price but as part of their Sat sale.

Do they give out tickets for these or is it a free for all. I remember seeing them last year on one of those four sided displays. They had a ton, but I didn't need it then.

Last year they had them on a pallet and you could just grab one and there were a ton. Don't know if they had a limit or not.

The Walmarts around here always make us wait in line in electronics to pay for the game systems (had to do it two years for the gameboy)....it would work perfectly for me if they just put them out since I need to pay for everything at one time to get the no interest for 12 months on my card. Fingers crossed.......

We got two of these last year, my husband was near the first in line (well sort of a line, people just gathered around the pallet of them.) Like I said we picked up two without any problems. :-)

I didn't buy one last year, but they had an entire pallet full. TONS. People were grabbing away, but no one missed out while I was there.

LY we had a ton, until someone impersonating an employee walked out with a few boxes worth...sad But we should have a ton as we usually do!

My Walmart had the 4 sided display full of them. But they were gone by the 5am checkout time. People had been grabbing them all throughout the night and then waiting for 5am checkout. By 4-5am there was a rush of people just getting to the store trying to get some but they were gone by then.

our store had them at the electronics desk and limit 2 per person in line...just first come first serve in the line.

I didn't get in line for these until 4am last year.....as I had to point out the other line for my mom to stand it to get the other item I wanted. Anyways, I was able to buy 3 of them no problem. They had a lot of them!

Just got a DS lite @radio shack for $89.97 red\black AND did the survey and printed off a $10 off $40 coupon that I can use for BF on my flip camera :)

How did you manage to grab the DS lite?

It was in store and it was new! I snagged 2 of them. Red and White. Radio Shack had them on "clearance" Although I have to admit it was actually my DH who spotted the deal...... I will never live this one down He walked around all night with his chest puffed out....... Men! lol!

Last year I called two separate walmarts about the DS hoping to get a pink one for my oldest. Both of them told me I had to be in line around midnight if I wanted to even stand a chance at getting a DS. I like Black Friday, but I can't be standing in line for 5+ hours, so I wrote it off that I would just have to pay full price or keep an eye out for another deal at a later date. I walked into walmart at 9:45am last year. As I was shopping they came over the loud speaker announcing they still had a few tickets left at the paint counter for DSs. I made my way back there, asked for a ticket for a pink DS, and made my way to the eye care center to pick it up/pay for it. When the lady went back to get a DS for me I could see they were stacked up on the desk in the office clear up to the ceiling.

 

My guess is it will probably be that way again this year - at least here.

OUr Walmart had PLENTY of Dsi's last year. I went, was first in line for 3 hrs at the DS location....got mine at 5 am, went on to other things....and even the next day they had some still available. I think they've been out so long...that while that is still a GREAT price...and hoping to score one again this year...it isn't the hottest ticket there this year. Hope you get one!

Last year we had a pallet of the DSs and there were TONS left. Think we had them for a few days even at the BF price.

 

Shocked me silly to see it is a "line" item. Why on earth was it grab and go free for all last year but this year it is a line w/ assigned spot on map?!?!

My Walmart made you form a line and they brought them out at 5:00am and handed them out as you walked down the aisle. They did limit you to one.

The map for my location says that the DS will be available in store and online starting Fri. I'm hoping I can order 2 online and not have to stand in line and wait until 5am in store. Does anyone know if they will actually be available online? I haven't seen it posted anywhere.
