  2. When you say fix cherry jello and let cool, then pour on top....do you mean let it fully set up or pour it while it is still liquidy? Thanks, can't wait to try it. Sounds yummy! :)
  3. Wow! Lots of yummy & cute recipes posted here. :) Thanks Brad! I'm going to have to save several of these to try out. Even if I don't win a t-shirt, it was worth the visit to this thread just to see all the yummies!! I have no idea where the name came from....this recipe was given to me by a woman my husband used to work with years ago. It is one of my most requested desserts. Polish Chop Suey Cake 2 C. Self-Rising Flour, sifted 1/4 tsp. Salt 2 tsp. Baking Soda 2 Eggs 1 C. Chopped Walnuts 1 (20 oz.) Can Crushed Pineapple in Juice 1 (8 oz.) Package Cream Cheese, room temperature 1 Stick of Butter, room temperature 2 C. Confectioners Sugar 1 T. Vanilla Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Blend flour, sugar, salt, baking soda, eggs, walnuts, and pineapple lightly with fork. Pour into greased 9x12 pan. Bake for 33-35 minutes, until done. Test with toothpick. Cool completely. To make icing: mix cream cheese and butter with hand mixer until smooth. Add vanilla, then slowly add confectioners sugar and continue to mix until smooth. Spread on top of cooled cake. Enjoy!!! ~Stephanie
  4. I'm not at all creative, but here goes ..... Hoping for a random win. 1. Rain Rain go away, Don't you know it's Black Friday? 2. I'll try and hold the door closed while you guys make a run for it. And hey, Charlie, tell my wife I love her. 3. After seeing a group of people in GottaDeal t-shirts run away with all the iPads ....... Oh man, why didn't I think of that? I'm definitely checking out that site next year!
  5. My map doesn't make much sense! They have 17 items listed, 10 of which are tv's......there is no room for Q lines in the toy aisles where they are showing 6 tv's, plus the tv stand. It looks like the DS is possibly around TLE, the one thing I do need. I'm surprised they only have 2 items in grocery action alley. That is where they usually have most of the big items and where there is actually the most room.
  6. I spoke with my local store and was told they are not doing wristbands. There will be Q lines set up around the store for the 5 am items. Large items like tv's will have a ticket, but that's about all they knew for sure. They don't know where items will be located, but are trying to keep everything away from electronics because it is such a small area. Hope they have it figured out before 5. They are always still bringing out pallets about 5 minutes til 5...ugh! Makes it hard to plan your route around the store when they don't even have the items out yet. Last year there were items that never were out! Hopefully since they are starting many items @ midnight I won't have that problem.
  7. Thanks for the info! Would it be best to just call my local store and ask how they are handling things? Couldn't hurt, right. Sounds like they all do it a little differently.
  8. The Walmarts around here always make us wait in line in electronics to pay for the game systems (had to do it two years for the gameboy)....it would work perfectly for me if they just put them out since I need to pay for everything at one time to get the no interest for 12 months on my card. Fingers crossed.......
  9. What do ya'll think about the camcorder bundle? Good deal? I could really use a new one. The one I have uses those Hi-8 tapes, ugh! A real pain.....
  10. Thanks so much for sharing this! The WM I used to work/shop at always handed out maps at the door. The WM I've been shopping at for the last 3 years (we moved) never gives out a map. In fact, they never know where many of the BF items will be located. I usually go in around 2 to pick up price match items and figure out where all the doorbusters I need are located so I can plan out my "route".....and every year there is at least one thing that I, nor anyone else seems to be able to find . So I am thrilled to hear that there will be maps!
  11. I'm waiting on all of them! I have to check every one just in case I were to miss something great. Nothing to do with BF, but....a couple years ago Lowes had a misprint on Kitchenaid stand mixers at an awesome price, but you had to have the ad to get the stores (the ones that were honoring it) to give you the price. I had thrown out my ad without ever looking at it, didn't find out about the "sale" until after the trash was gone and never could find another copy of the ad. So I missed out on a great deal . The ads I'm really looking forward to are Walmart, TRU, Target, Best Buy, Kmart and JCPenney. Plus I always like to see what Kmart has going on on Thanksgiving Day.
  12. Depends on the ads, but I usually go to Walmart first. Then I hit JCPenneys, VS, TRU, Target and whoever else has a good deal.
  13. It's usually me and my mom, although I have done it alone. Last year was the first year dh went with me instead of my mom. Not sure if he wants to tackle it again this year or not. We closed on our house last year the day before Thanksgiving, started moving on Thanksgiving day, went to bed around 1 am, got up about 2:30, took a freezing cold shower (forgot to turn on the hot water heater ), went shopping, came home and unloaded our stuff and started moving again......whew. After that experience dh's not so sure he wants to do it again, lol.
  14. I usually start in Randleman and end in Greensboro.....but that all depends on Walmart. If they have alot that I need, I hit them first. If they don't, I'll just go to Greensboro.
