KoopawnKode Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 Puente Hills, CABest Buy3 tents7 pm MondayDammmmmmmmmmmmmm....really? I'm not near Puente Hills, but I wouldn't expect to see anyone til at least Thursday noonish for the items in the ad. Even the $197 laptop! It wouldn't surprise me though if they just pitched the tent and came back every once in a while just to hold their place in line.
conj Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 well, the economy sux... if you are homeless... and looking for a place to pitch a tent, a well lit parking lot may be a good choice.... <sigh>
jrkelley Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 Pittsburgh PABest Buy Robinson3 people1:15 Tuesday WOW ~ and I thought I was crazy 2 years ago for showing up at midnight for a Wii....it wasn't BF just a week that they had x number in the ad. I hope I never need anything this badly!
JohnnyLaRue Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 well, the economy sux... if you are homeless... and looking for a place to pitch a tent, a well lit parking lot may be a good choice.... <sigh>LMAO! Do the homeless peeps in line have $$$? Seriously though when the Bevmo in my area opened up they gave away $25 gift cards to the 1st 50 people in line. I kid you not homeless people were in line a week early! Some had their half empty bottles of liquor in hand too!
floridasun5 Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 Ok, thats just crazy!! Even if you are hard up and really need something for cheap, 4 days in advance to wait is just still ridiculous!
FlyersSuperFan Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 I just wonder how people stay in line for 3 or 4 days prior to the sale and manage to still keep a job?
jerica388 Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 There are several people where I work who took vacation Mon - Wed this week. Now I know where they went! LOL
Gporter34 Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 Dang...people are serious about the Best Buy ad!lol
LondonAtDark Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 I could see people taking vacation time to stand in line outside a store. But Monday is a tad bit early for me!
Karmarose Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 LMAO! Do the homeless peeps in line have $$$? Seriously though when the Bevmo in my area opened up they gave away $25 gift cards to the 1st 50 people in line. I kid you not homeless people were in line a week early! Some had their half empty bottles of liquor in hand too! I would need a couple of bottles of liquor to line up this early. Also, how can u tell the homeless from the campers by BF if they line up this early?

NeepNeep Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 I think BB needs to revise their BF tips! Tip 2 - Arrive early if you want Black Friday Doorbuster specials. Some people eat Thanksgiving dinner and start lining up as early as Thursday afternoon! http://bestbuyvipcontest.com/tips.html

rockpzazz Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 Comedian Dwight York once said "I was homless for a while. I didnt want anyone to know so I lined up in front of a ticketmaster." I love that joke. Where I live we only have a Walmart and I've yet to see ayone line up.
stacya Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 Where I live we only have a Walmart and I've yet to see ayone line up.Wow, I guess we know where YOU'RE going to be, LOL!
rockpzazz Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 I live 30 minutes from SEVERAL other stores, so I'm still deciding. It comes down to how much my paycheck is tomorrow, which I doubt is much. I'm in it this year more for the thrill than buying anything. So we'll see.
