dd50 Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 I probably spend about $20 to $25. I try to find things on sale. My one daughter I buy her makeup. One likes pens and different school type stuff. The other likes CD's and books. I shop for them early so I can find good things on sale. I usually end up with more than will fit in stockings tho.
rsthayer Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 I use to spend around $20 - $25 for my two children and husband. now I have my 2 kids (20yrs old and 24yrs old) , my husband, 3 grandkids, a daughter - in - law and a friend of my daughters who practically lived with us so we do her a stocking also. last yr I spent a total of $o.oo yes zero dollars on all the adults stockings. how did I do this well I request alot of samples all yr and save them for stockings. I had razors for all 5 adults, lip balms, sample shampoos, deodorants, toothpaste, and a few other items I got for free. so I saved a bundle on the adult stockings last yr. this year I havent done as well so I will probably have to spend a little to make nice stockings. If you really watch the freebies you can get some really nice things.
mongoose Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 I don't think that I even want to know how much I spend in stocking stuffers..lol..And they all said.. AMEN! lol I've got three teens, all will get gift cards for stocking stuffers. The boys will both get a year of Xbox Live as a SS.... one will get a Tillys GC and the other will get Hot Topic and daughter will get a few. And they are not part of the limit that each child has.
fluffkin79 Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 Hmmm, this could vary wildly. I don't have a price limit, but I do have an overall holiday budget and am pretty good about keeping things reasonable. Some stockings might be $10, others could be $100. It all depends on the person's interest. DS3 might get a stocking full of cars and candy when DH gets some sort of electronics. Then again, maybe DH needs a new pair of gloves. Its always a surprise.
