angelashly Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Have a better plan layed out. I have a better map now of the stores and they are all in about a 3 mile radius of each other To get some sleep this year.
ToastyOasty Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Be as friendly as possible. I just don't understand all the people that are hateful and negative and cursing and giving nasty looks. That isn't what this season is about and it really puts a damper on my day when I see adults behaving this way. People can be so rude and I'm always like....why be that way? I just don't get it.
Gporter34 Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 This BF I vow to... Have a blast with my kids and get some great deals! I will try to remember that even the Christmas season brings out the worst in some people and I will silently say a prayer for those who leave their manners and consideration at home.
mcwalker Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 I vow... ...not to make any vows that I can't keep! (Kind of dodges the bullet, huh.)
jmyersfl Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 (edited) realize my children don't need every single thing I see on sale that I think they might like. This for sure. I realized that DD15 and DS11 have everything they want or need. I asked them and they ACTUALLY AGREED!!!!! Thanks to Gottdeal.com I have shopped and gotten every bargain out there. I'm horrible at holding things until Christmas so they get things all year round. Of course there is DS27's daughter - 18 mos now - There are lots of things to get her!!!!And sooo the vicious cycle continues!!!! Edited October 30, 2009 by jmyersfl 11 yr old is a son!!!!!

dawnelise0004 Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 I vow to be nice to other shoppers and to store employees even if they are aren't being nice to me.. I vow to enjoy the experience and time with my friends even if I don't get all the deals I want, because years from now I won't remember the deals but I will remember the funny moments. I vow to find a balance between needs and wants when shopping for my family. I vow to be more organized and less impulsive on Black Friday. I vow to say a prayer for the safety and sanity of all those I know who are out shopping that day.

areno79 Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 I vow to sleep before going shopping. Last year I was so tired from staying up all night that I fell asleep sitting at a table in the diner we were at. People must've thought I was drunk!
kimmie0712 Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 I vow to stick to the game plan and not buy just for the sake of buying. I also vow to treat my mom and myself to a Starbucks because we deserve it for getting up so darn early. :)

setlok73 Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 I vow to stop talking myself out of things that I want.
Libra Angel Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 I vow to be more organized. Thanks to this site (Brad) I am able to view many of the ads beforehand but I never write down exactly what I want but rather go into a store in some type of haze. So this year I'm making a list and yes checking it twice. Also I plan to get enough rest, which I never do considering I'm a night owl. As of now that's about it. :)
elena_398 Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 I am 99.9% done with christmas shopping... I vow NOT to impulse buy. I usually do this every year and my kids have too many gifts. I think I over bought now, but I still will go out on BF. My son wants a snuggie though. lol. Have to get that.
jerica388 Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 I vow to be patient while waiting in line with my purchases (I swear, it's like 2 minutes to grab the items I need and 45 minutes of waiting in line to pay for them). I know the cashiers are overwhelmed and just doing their jobs.
braylan1 Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 take gloves and a hatnot buy on impulsebuy more things my kids NEED, wait nothing they really need. lolbuy some things for myself & my hunny :)
