  1. I miss the traditional BF years. Those were the good times! I refuse to Thanksgiving shop in store. That's not only our family day but we also try to volunteer or help another family out. I won't compromise that for shopping....ever. I will get online in the morning, or during cooking to check deals, but to be honest I've found a lot of toy deals (3 year old) in July at Target's clearance sale. Then again, a 3 year old isn't into particular themes or hit toys yet.
  2. My cousin is looking for a laptop this year for herself (the kids toys can wait! Its Momma year LOL). No camping out at BB though, so hoping WM or somewhere will have something decent. Doesn't have to be fancy but it has to function! :)
  3. I always BF shop not in my current town, I go where my family and DH's family is from and shop with my cousin...we have gone together for 7 years now. On Thanksgiving we eat until we can't breathe of course! :) DH and I since we are out of towner's we get to bring the pop, rolls, something easy. My cousin and I meet up around 8pm to get our ads together, gear, fully charged phones, snacks, and get the kids to sleep. Then we head out about 10pm to the mall for the Disney store since they open at midnight. After the Disney store we get some 2am food at Waffle House, (last year we hit up a gambling spot LOL but not this year), head to Walmart to get in line for whatever items, after Walmart we go back to the mall for Penney's, Kohl's and random stores in there. We are usually home by 9am asleep by 9:05 (since we pull an all nighter which gets harder as I get older and I'm still in my 20's LOL) Once I get up DH and I pack our bags and drive the 3hrs home!
  4. All the kids this year are saying they want ZhuZhu pets. TRU had some BOGO a couple weeks ago, I hope they run them again and I'll buy some more..that way BF can be about the adult gifts! lol
  5. My worst experience has to be the Disney store last year. It is in the mall and they made you wait outside until midnight. Swarms of people at all the different doors but they only opened one set of doors...lucky for us it was our door. People pushed and pushed and ran to the store. We walked and still were pretty close to the front. Well some girls decided they were going to jerks and start fighting. They were throwing punches, the girl about ripped off the other girl's shirt (not a pretty sight I should add) and because of their stupidity the store refused to open until the security and police could diffuse the situation. So we waited an additional 45 minutes because they were acting like idiots.
  6. I wear layers so I'll have a hoodie on with a t-shirt under since it gets HOT in some stores. Debit card, a little cash, and my cell or walkie talkie in my pocket. The car will have some bottled water and some snacks, though we usually grub after disney at midnight at about 1 before we go to Walmart at the Waffle House. Coffee and chewing gum are a must!
  7. Hard to choose! My favorites were The Disney Store and Walmart. The disney store had killer deals so I stocked up for birthdays for this year too. I'll do the same this year if they are good. I got Wii Games at Walmart but I think this year I will help my cousin with toys and then just order the Wii games online. I'm getting excited!!
  8. our toys r us closed down. Im visiting family and cars were parked three miles away. The fire Marshall shut them down due to over capacity. There was a three hour wait to check out. It was insane. Anyone else having crazy things going on?
  9. Got mine this morning! Im so ready!
  10. I haven't seen anything that is jaw dropping still after WM's ad Boo I'm so bummed bout that. There is a few toys that I think I would want but nothing that is so important. The TV deals are good but DH wants a higher quality so I won't be standing in line for that...so pretty much we are just going to run around all night, gamble, eat and buy some clothes and a few gifts LMAO
  11. DH and I leave my Grandma's Thursday evening, go to my cousin's (which is who I go with), us girls leave around 10 pm go driving around checking out the places, head to disney store by 11pm to get in line, start there at midnight, then go to waffle house get some coffee and food, then go gamble for a few minutes LOL, then head to walmart by 230ish. Then penney's and the other stores!
  12. We don't have credit cards, we are following Dave Ramsey financial plan so we won't be charging even if we did. Cash for me!!! Even if I used my debit card I would be scared to overspend.
  13. Target: Westinghouse 32" LCD HDTV - $246 Apple 8GB IPOD Nano w/ free $15 Target Giftcard - $145 Dirt Devil Versa Power 3 in 1 stick Vac - $9 Best Buy: Garmin 255 4.3 GPS - $99.99 ( i get lost so easy ) Total: $499.99 If taking into consideration the $15 Target Gift Card....I would then purchase 3 snuggies at $4.99 at Office Max :)
  14. Year 6 for me! My mom is the type that doesn't leave the house the whole weekend let alone BF! She doesn't realize how FUN it is!!! I look forward to it every year!
  15. I used to think "how could someone drag their small kids out" but last year while waiting in the checkout line at Walmart I got to talking to another lady who had an infant (my guess would be maybe 6 mo or so), and she was telling us how she had no family close, and no extra money to pay for a sitter, her DH worked 7 days a week to put food on the table...so she had to bring him. He was of course appropriately dressed and he just hung out in the car seat. You never know the reason someone has their children BF, whether its $$ issues, DH working, no family....you just never know. So now instead of thinking to myself "what r they doing" I just smile and be polite and know there is a reason for why they brought them!!
  16. Nothing has really dropped my jaw, the target 32" TV sounds pretty good. Its not the best quality TV, and its not the size we wanted (37 is what we wanted) but we'll go with the flow. Waiting to see if Walmart has something comparable!
  17. I vow to smile politely when I punch someone in the face...(haha JK! Had to throw a joke in!) I vow to be as nice as possible. I vow to drink A LOT more coffee since last year I ran out of steam by 12pm (we don't sleep the night before we hang out at waffle house just the girls, sometimes we hit the gambling spot for a few min lol) I vow to make DH go sit in line for a TV :)
  18. I haven't noticed many either, but walmart had toys that would fit that age group (actually buying for a 12mo old) on sale for $10 already so I went ahead and bought what I wanted. it was like a little vtech airplane that lit up and makes noise and you put blocks through the little holes....that type of toy. I wanted the little barn and animals but they were out.
  19. OMG I totally missed the Target ad?!?!?! How did this happen? lol okay I gotta go check it out. I really really should be working but I can't stop reading every piece of fine print...ahh I just need to take the month off work
  20. I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish it would hurry up and get here!!!!!!!! I'm trying to get 6 kids done under $100 think I can do it?! This is 2 getting clothes, 3 getting toys (age 8,9,4), one getting more "grownup items" she is 10 (going on 25).....Anyone else super bargain shopping this year?!?!
  21. Standing in line holding your pee So you won't miss your deals I will be honest this is me *gross but true*
  22. I'm not a vaccine type of person. I didn't get it, and don't plan on it. I'm not really worried about. Sick or not I'll be right there in line! LOL!
  23. I hit up Target for the Wii games. MySims Racing - $39.99 Cabela's Hunting game (can't remember exact one) - $39.99 Backyard Football - $29.99 B2G1 + $10 off coupon....$74.XX tax and all! Not too shabby for $110 worth of games! (where's the kroger thread I got some AWESOME deals there too LOL)
