Dont get me wrong, i appreciate the thoughts. but there are two things that bother me in gift giving. the first is when you try to push your likes on someone. just becuase you think that all little girls should be into dancers, doesnt' mean the soccer start wants to be. just because you collect something doesn't mean i like it oo. the other is when you dont pay attention to age. if my dd was already 18 months, why get her a gift targeted at 3-9 months? it just makes more sense to me to get something she will grow into.

my mom always tried her best to have the same number gifts and similar money spent. when we were little, we wouldn't have noticed anythign about prices, we would have noticed a different number though, as we open ours one gift at a time. now that i am older, i would be more likely to noticed by value. i would just try to be fair about it and dont stress over it. if you are off in number, maybe you have somethign you can wrap together or somethign you can split into two pacakges?

My only DD will get about 20-25 (depending on what i save from amazon) however, becuase she is only 2, i am able to really hunt the bargains with her not asking for specifics. most items were 5-10 dollars, and her big gift was a bike at $40. i'm sure withteh next kid, or as she gets older, that number will have to drop.

my expierience with them was awful this year too. i ordered before black friday, with a shipping arrival date of NOv 16th! i got one of my 4 items. had not heard anything else by dec. emailed them, they assured me it was not canceled and they would send me an update email soon. emailed them again saturday. they responded monday by sending me a copy of the original order confirmation. (which, by the way, the totals matched what i printed from there site before clicking send the order, but the individual prices didn't match????) anyway, i then called them, sat on hold for 30 minutes, to be told once they finally answered that the system was down, i needed to call back. i told her that was unacceptible, that she can take my information and have her supervisor call me back. so she got the supervisor on the phone and they were able to tell me that one item was out of stock, but couldn't tell me anything on the other 2 missing items. they said they would have to email me with an update because they couldn't get into the shipping system. i told them they had 1 day, or i would be calling back to cancel my order, and woudl be more than happy to share my expierience with my friends and web friends and family...

i love to surprise others. love it love it! as for me, i will not snoop. i'm torn, becuase i'm really curious and excited and impatient. but i can't stop myself if something is out like a reciept. luckily my dh is really good about putting things up.

me too!!!! he told me i couldn't use the excuse of january/february/march birthdays anymore.... but who wants to run out last minute and buy something full price becuase they aren't prepared. that's just not how i operate! the way i look at it, most of the year, i'm pretty good, almost downright cheap. i mostly buy what i need. and i rarely get my kiddos anythign other than dollar spot if not for birthday or christmas. so why not spoil the crap out of them then!!

DD 2 will get tons of random things from target dollar spot clearance- baton, hair stuff, fake barbies, stick on earrings, stuff for her play kitchen, bath foam, dress up shoes, jumprope, coloring book, book, magnetic shapes, stickers, baby doll outfit, and a tiny bit of candy. i received mine a while ago; one of my 10 was mispelled, their fault (they had it right on the packing forms, etc) but they were sold out by then, so they couldn't fix it. but teh quality was just fine.

my sister is getting the zune 30 gb for christmas. she asked for a clock radio, but the way she said it, she wasn't clear on if she wanted that to be a clock radio dock for the zune, or just a clock radio. is there suck a thing for the zune? am i correct in thinking that one one zune model has hte built in radio and it isn't the 30gb?

no toys r us for me. but i have this problem on a regular basis- depending on where i buy it, i either have no michaels or no kohls and toys r us. the toys r us is most frustrating to me becuase there is only one in town and therefore i think it shoudl be distributed everywehre. but i have to plan ahead to decide whre to buy the paper based on the sales/my needs that week.

sure hope its compatible- i ordered 2 of the 2gb on sale this weekend for $7 after rebate at circuit city currently comes out to about the same at circuit city with teh 10% cyber monday coupon.
