  1. I found this one. http://www.guidelive.com/sharedcontent/dws/ent/books/stories/DN-nf_deenbook_1129liv.State.Edition1.3e1629c.html TWICE-BAKED POTATO CASSEROLE 8 medium baking potatoes, about 4 pounds 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, at room temperature ½ cup (1 stick) butter, softened 1 pint sour cream 2 cups ( ½ pound) shredded sharp cheddar cheese (divided use) 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 ½ teaspoons salt ½ teaspoon pepper ¼ cup chopped chives, for garnish 6 slices bacon, cooked crisp, drained and crumbled, for garnish Preheat oven to 350 F. Pierce potatoes and place on baking pan. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes, until very soft. Peel and mash potatoes in large bowl with potato masher or back of fork. Add cream cheese, butter, sour cream and 1 cup of cheddar. Stir well. Add garlic, salt and pepper, and stir again. Spray a 13x9-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Place potato mixture in dish, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate casserole until ready to bake. When ready to bake, preheat oven to 350 F, remove plastic wrap and bake casserole 30 to 35 minutes until hot. Sprinkle remaining 1 cup cheddar over casserole and return to oven for about 5 minutes, until cheese melts. Garnish with chopped chives and crumbled bacon before serving. Makes 10 to 12 servings.
  2. Maybe she had to throw the first list together and it wasn't stuff she really wanted, then she thought about it and changed her mind about some of what she asked for the first time. In this case, I think you should talk to her about it and tell her that it bothered you that she changed the list.
  3. I was thinking of doing that this year just to make it easy, and it'd be a special treat because we never get them.
  4. Thank you! My DH is a Michigan fan and I didn't have anything for him yet. He will be thrilled!
  5. I'm in deep trouble, I just broke down and bought the Barbie Throne. I couldn't resist the savings. I held out for days waiting for the price to go up, but since it didn't, I ended up breaking down and buying it, darn you Amazon! My DH is going to flip out, we are on a tight budget right now, but it'll be worth all the justification for it because the youngest will love it. Now I have to decide if it's just going to be for DD3 or if it should be a joint gift for DD3 and DD5, because I don't have anything nearly as big for DD5.
  6. Sometimes it takes them as long as 12 hours to get back to me, but I don't think that's too unreasonable this time of year. If I wanted an immediate response, I'd just call them, but I'm not in a hurry. They've never given me a hard time about PAs.
  7. I am in the same boat, DH is going to freak out when he sees how many presents I have for the kids. I am going to have to save some for birthdays or he will really lose it. I am having a ball getting great deals, though. Who can pass up deals like this? It's the biggest rush to get a great deal and then a few days later, see it selling for much more than you paid for it.
  8. Me three, I've always emailed for my price adjustments and never had a problem.
  9. Scroogeygrinch Snippyhead
  10. You could always try to sell it on Ebay or Craigslist. I bought the wrong toy on Amazon and there's no way I'm going to pay to ship it back for a refund, so I'm trying to sell it on Craigslist.
  11. Just wondering, what's wrong with Plasma?
  12. I think it must be the HM Stage. A friend told me she saw that it was $20 off at Costco a couple of weeks ago.
  13. And best of all FREE SHIPPING!!!
  14. I enjoy it if I don't have kids banging on the door saying they need me, and DH leaves me alone too. But if I have to rush, I don't enjoy it. I'm not the best wrapper, I'd probably give myself a B-, but it's still fun.
  15. Mine just got here. I peaked in the box, it's pretty big. Lots of pieces, it looks like fun. The last two days I've regretted ordering it because last year my DD got the PP limo from her aunt and it was a piece of junk. It never worked correctly and the door always fell off and would never snap into place and stay there. I threw it out a few months ago and vowed that we wouldn't have any more magnetic PPs in our house. Then I go and buy this one. I'm very tempted to give it to my niece and then I wouldn't have a problem with it. Let my SIL deal with it. I'm so sorry to be such a downer about this toy, when everyone else has bought one too. I've been looking through all the reviews and no one has anything good to say about it, so I'm upset about the entire thing.
  16. I just saw it at Claire's yesterday. I can't remember the price, I think it was $6.50.
  17. They probably would figure it out, but I was thinking, you could always order it and tell them it'll be a little late. It's so cute, it's almost worth it, even if it won't get there in time for Christmas. My DDs are young enough that they would believe me if I told them it was Sharpay's car, as long as it was pink.
  18. I keep seeing the infomercial for this thing and I really want one now. It's like an oscillating electric toothbrush and the thing I like about it is it looks like it really deep cleans the grout and seals, around fixtures, corners in the shower, etc. in the bathroom that are so hard to clean. Anyone know anything about this? It's only $19.99, so I think it'd be worth it if it actually works. http://www.sonicscrubbertvoffer.com/
  19. That's so cute, I almost want one for myself. Anyone know if the singing Sharpay is still around? I saw her in stores in the summer, but now the only one I've seen is the Sharpay in the gold pants and red top. Both my DDs love Sharpay, but I think they are a little young for her, but I keep going back and forth on it. She'd look really cute in the pink VW Barbie car I bought from Wal-Mart.
  20. Mine's supposed to ship by 12/3 and arrive between 12/5-6. I wouldn't be surprised to see it here in the next couple of days. Amazon's been so fast with other orders I've placed lately.
  21. I'm glad to know this. I usually never have any money after Christmas, but this year I'm going to make sure I am able to buy some of the after Christmas clearance. Thanks!
  22. Thanks so much! I was short one present for DD and this is perfect!
  23. Little Tikes had the Super Sing Vanity on sale last year and I bought it for my DD for Christmas and both my girls love it and still play with it. I got it for under $40, including shipping, Little Tikes was having a big sale. I think $60 is a little much to pay for it, IMO. Keep checking their website, they often have sales. All of their toys that I have seen are very durable and well made.
  24. My Target was crazy. I got there after they'd been open for 30 minutes and check-out was horrible. All lanes were open and had 10+ people waiting in each one. Luckily, I saw that the jewelry counter was open and was able to sneak in there and only had to wait about 5 minutes.
  25. I wish my kid's weren't too old for this, it is so cute! I'm tempted to buy one for me to put out every year as a decoration.
