  1. Thanks Brad! Love the beanie and other goodies!
  2. My work is closed for Black Friday and luckily my boss loves shopping so I don't see us being open on that day anytime soon. One of the few perks of my job. I'd ditch if I had to though.
  3. It's under "Entire stock of Contigo . . ."
  4. Thanks for all the info. I'm looking to replace my old desktop computer with a new laptop this Black Friday and I didn't even know where to start looking. Your posts have been very helpful.
  5. Wow! That's pretty cool! Mines just a mishmash of every Christmas decorations I've bought throughout the years, but now you've given me something to ponder. Maybe I'll do a theme one of these years.
  6. In the past I used an expandable file folder, but after reading other people's suggestions on here I switched to a binder a couple years ago to keep all my Christmas lists and Black Friday ads organized. It's too big to carry in my purse, but I leave it in the car and pack a small notepad and any essential ads and coupons in my purse. What do you mean by ""theme" for Christmas"?
  7. That's hilarious! Being a Lions fan myself the worse is when the "decent" Lions team plays the first half, but stays in the locker room after halftime and the S.O.L. play the second half of the game. Nothing like getting my hopes up before they come crashing down.
  8. I wish my bank had a Christmas club. Since they don't I just put a little bit from each paycheck away in an envelope. It's hard, but I'm happy come Black Friday to have the money.
  9. My husband likes practical gifts so for stocking stuffers I give him replacement razor blade cartridges, 9 volt batteries ( for his bass), gum, a pack of his favorite pens because he loses them all the time and whatever else I spot while out shopping.
  10. Info sent for Secret Santa and card exchange!
  11. I really miss having a Shopko and a Target in town. It's a 40 minute drive to get to either one. Black Friday shopping in town just isn't the same without them. I pretty much just stop at Kohls to shop on Black Friday before heading out of town.
  12. I'm going to sign up! I'm just trying to come up with helpful answers to all the questions. Lol
  13. Just started - I got a boxing glove golf club cover last week and a small table in the shape of a guitar pick yesterday both for my husband.
  14. GottaDeal binders and highlighters.
  15. Got my secret Santa gift today. Thank you! Claude my doxie thanks you too. He already ran off with the toys
  16. I did most of my Black Friday shopping actually on Black Friday starting at 6am. A couple DVDs at Target and the 2 for $7 Muk luks at Menards and one of the $10 gift sets at Sephora I wanted were sold out, but otherwise I got what I wanted. Pjs and slippers from Sears, dog toys from Menards, Ninja from Target and a bunch more. I got a ton of stuff from Bath and Body Works. I was impressed how quickly they checked everyone out and they were a lot of the special tote bags left. JcPenney lines were short, but moved sooo slow. Ugh. They were also forgetting to remove the alarm tags as the alarm went off repeatedly the first few minutes I was there. Over all I had a great time! Everyone was friendly and courteous!
  17. I've never seen any tickets handed out for Kohls doorbusters, but sometimes I think that varies by your location.
  18. Got my shirts today! So happy Love the bonus items too!
  19. Their website is horrible. It will just randomly empty my whole cart even when I'm in the middle of checking out. I'm not even going to attempt Target's website on Black Friday.
  20. It's always cold out where I live on Black Friday so I bring some of those hand warmers with me and usually an extra pair for a friend
  21. So that is Arn Anderson? That's what I thought at first, but then thought naw couldn't be. He's made the big time in the Black Friday ad!
  22. Oh my gosh! That sounds awesome. You should post a tutorial. I had my small folder of holiday recipes out at work and my friend asked if that was my Black Friday/Christmas folder. I laughed and said it was much too small. I use an expandable file folder to keep everything organized. Though I like the idea of switching to a binder - easier to access.

My husband and I usually go to a relatives for thanksgiving dinner, but this year I'm not sure we'll being doing that. On Saturday after all the previous day's shopping I make thanksgiving dinner for my husband and I - turkey breast and gravy in the slow cooker, green bean casserole, mashed potatos, baked sweet potatos, some sort of appetizers, and dessert. I like the idea that someone is making asparagus so I might do that too and chess pie sounds intriguing so I might try that.
  24. Always with a friend or two. It's more fun to shop together plus it's always helpful to have an extra pair of eyes to help you search for a specific deal or an extra pair of hands when you have too much stuff to hold and all the carts are gone.
