  1. Only one of the items on my shopping list is a doorbuster item (the Sandisk Sansa 1GB MP3 Player). I was in Wal-Mart yesterday and saw that they had those MP3 players in stock. So I’m thinking about just price matching it there since it’s only a few minutes away from where I live (as opposed to the hour and a half away that Best Buy is). That will eliminate the need to show up at Best Buy at midnight to ensure that I get one of those MP3 players. However, there are still other items that I wanna get at Best Buy. I’m also looking to get – Seagate 250GB Internal Hard Drive $59.99 - Reg price $133.99 Pioneer 16x Internal DVD/CD Burner $29.99 - Reg price $69.99 ATI X1600 Pro 512MB PCI-E Graphics Card $99.99 - Reg price $205.99 Do you think that those items in particular will be made available online for purchase? If so, when do you think that they’d go on sale?
  2. You made the right decision. Most of the DVDs on sale on black Friday are the cheap store brand. Those DVDs are usually made with inferior materials resulting in a high ratio of bad burns. Another problem with those DVDs which isn’t as readily apparent as discs simply failing to burn, is that on the discs that do burn, there are issues with reflectivity and/or multiple errors on the disc. That can cause undue strain on the DVD reading laser. Which will shorten the lifespan of the DVD drive or DVD player that you use to play the discs. Stay away from the Cheap store brands such as - Teon, Dynex, Playo ect. Also, Memorex has a very bad rep. Brands that are pretty good - Verbatim, Sony, TDK, & Fuji.
  3. I got three different Wal-Mart ads in the mail yesterday. One for Nov 15-22, and the two Black Friday ones (Doorbuster deals & Nov 24-30th ads). As far as I can tell, the Black Friday ones are exactly like the ones in the ad. I frequently get Wal-Mart ads in the mail. Yet my brother (who lives a couple of miles away) never gets them. I live about a mile away from a Wal-Mart though, so maybe they only mail em out to people that live within a certain distance of the store.
  4. Thank you very much. This will be very helpful. This'll be my first BF and I plan to wait outside Best Buy overnight. So I was a little bit worried about what to expect with the weather. So far it looks to be a little cold, but there'll be no rain. As long as there won’t be any rain, I'll be OK. I'll be sure to check that again as we get closer to the big day. Thanks again. :)
  5. Thanks for asking that. Because I was wondering that myself. And thanks to Gurnee Al for having the answer. :)
  6. Thanks for the advice. To tell the truth, I was 50-50 on whether or not to get it. $39 sounds awfully cheep for a bike. I was kind of wondering about the quality. Sounds like I'd just be throwing that money away if I bought it. Better to save that money and apply it to the cost of a real bike after Christmas. Thanks again.
  7. I’m trying to figure out what chance I have of getting it if I make Kohl’s my second stop of the day. A Food Processor is the top item on my wish list, but I need to be at Best Buy first if I have any hope of getting what I want at that store. So I probably wouldn’t be at Kohl’s before 8:30 AM.
  8. Yeah, Wal-Mart has Adult mountain bikes for $39 in the BF ad (page 5). I'm thinking about picking up one of those. They also have a couple of kids bikes in the Fri-Sat section of the ad (on Page 50) for $59.24.
  9. A Food Processor. Kohl's has a 7 cup Cuisinart for $98. So I'm all set for the my top item on my wish list.
  10. I was just at my local Wal-Mart an hour ago and there was a tent with 2 or 3 people living outside. I asked one of the employees what they were doing there (even though I kind of knew) and they said that they were there for the PS3 and they'd been there since Tuesday. Apparently my Wal-Mart is getting 5 copies. It kind of makes me laugh thinking about how those fools have been living there for two days now, yet I could get in line sometime in the next few hours and I stand just as much of a chance of getting one as they do.
  11. Braintree Mass. High 49° Low 33° 10% chance of Precipitation. A little bit nippy, but as long as it doesn't rain, I can deal with it.
  12. Best Buy. At the moment, that's gonna be my only stop of the day. I'm not big on crowds. If I didn't wanna upgrade some stuff on my computer, I likely wouldn't bother going out at all.
  13. I'm also interested in the Sandisk Sansa 1GB MP3 Player. I was disappointed at first that the scan seemed to cut off the part about the amount per store. Then I realized that the PDF has many of the pages split up and even mixed up throughout the file. Frankly, it's bit of a mess. After searching through the pages, I found that part three of that page (part two is the part with the picture of the MP3 player itself) is on page 23 of the file. It says, "Sansa e240 with FM tuner (SDMX3-1024-AB18/SDXM3P-1024-A18) 7995422/8019609 Formatted capacity may vary. Minimum 40 Silver and 20 Pink per store. Limit I of Each per Customer. No rainchecks” Don’t know if you needed those serial numbers since you were only looking for the amount per store, but I included them anyway incase you needed it for researching the models available.
  14. Here in Massachusetts, by state law, Gift Cards never expire. I bought my Mom a GC for Lowes 3 years ago (so she could buy some paint to paint her Apt) and she still hasn’t gotten around to using it. There's no rush though because she can use it whenever she wants.
