So glad to see the snowglobes have returned!!! I'll definitely be stopping in for mine!

I picked up a PowerGen Mobile Juice Pack 12000 (mAh) for myself from Amazon early this year. Bout the size of a deck of cards, can charge 3 devices at once, will recharge my iPhone 5 at least 3 or 4 times from just about dead. Also comes with a BRIGHT 1-LED flashlight built in. They have different sizes, power-wise, and price varies with the mAh rating. For me, it's been the best $50 I've spent in a long time. Some of their smaller mAh rated ones might fit in your budget, Peppermint. I haven't looked recently, though.

Thinking that Bissell little green machine might be a grab for me. Been looking at those for a while (I do have cats, after all) and it seems to be a good deal.

I honestly end up in a funk every year because I'm in my church choir and we have to start practicing our Christmas cantata in early to mid OCTOBER. I love Christmas music, but not *that* early! lol I don't really get my spirit back till about the beginning of December. Already seems different this year, though, as I'm finally in on the SS exchange here (I keep missing the dang deadline every year! Ha!) and I am getting excited about all the different ideas I have for my SS. Can't wait to get everything bought and put together for them! Round about the beginning of December, I dig up my MercyMe Christmas Sessions CD and it lives in the CD player in my car for the whole month and into January. If you haven't heard it and you like Christmas music, I encourage you to check it out. It is, by far, my favorite. Also, my mom was Christmas to me, too. She's been gone since mid '06 and it hasn't been the same without her. Brother lives across the country, dad's a few hours' drive away (in good weather) and at home, it's just me and my pair of kitties. Still hopeful of looking forward to the day I will share my home with a special somebody and, hopefully, bring more of the Christmas magic back.

How to help a co-worker with finances this Christmas?
wittenlover replied to erose630's topic in 2013
If she likes to drink hot cocoa or coffee (or tea!) in the office, you could put the GC's others have suggested in a great little gift bag with a new mug and a package or two of her favorite hot beverage. Takes care of Christmas at home with a little Christmas at the office thrown in. -
Are there any areas he frequents where he's mentioned a favorite restaurant/store/whatever that he can't visit at home? Maybe grab a gift card or two to places like that. Does he have a favorite coffee/cocoa/something that he loves having at home? If so, pick up a package or two he can travel with and wrap them up with a nice new travel mug. Most places truck drivers can stop have hot water (or at least a microwave to heat it up with) so that he could make up a nice cup full of a memory of home while he's away. I'll keep thinking....

wittenlover replied to Brad's topic in 2013
Photoshop a GD logo ( or maybe better yet, Brad's pie avatar! Ha!) into one of the ad scans. First person to find it and correctly PM you its location (ad, page number, location on page) wins a shirt for the following year. -
One of the ones I've been waiting on! Yes! *dives into ads*

I have a very short list. Small family + few local friends = minimal shopping. Dad - We usually exchange GCs to our fave places. Dad's GF - Last year was GC to DSW (well received). Still TBD this year. BFF in FL - A diecast that I preordered for her (that she knows about) and a few other little things (that she doesn't). "Broke college student" BFF in SC - GCs to a few of her fave places. My pit crew friends in Charlotte - Their usual huge box of homemade cookies, fudge, etc to share around the shop. (Yes, I am a NASCAR fan and yes I have friends in a couple of the big race shops... Seriously. lol Great bunch of guys!)
-
Now, now, Brad... We can't let you off THAT easy!!! lol We're still hoping one of those not yet posted will have our "wow" deal inside... Me, I'm waiting on Target and Meijer mainly. Definitely headed to PetSmart on BF. I have recently lost one kitty to the Rainbow Bridge (cancer sucks!!!) and am working to settle in a new addition who is in desperate need of more toys and "OK" things to scratch on. That freebie stuff they're handing out to the first 100 or so in the door is bound to have something I can use in it!
-
I'm sorry. Just had to send my wonderful black furbaby Louie to the Rainbow Bridge 2 weeks ago yesterday. He was almost 14... Not the same without him roaming the house, for sure.
-
If you happen to like to bake, I bet a stack of some of his favorite cookies (or whatever treat he likes) would go over really well, especially with some gift cards like others have suggested. Guys + food = happy.

Whew! In just under the wire! Thank you for fitting a few latecomers in, pogiporkchop! Look forward to having some fun in whatever exchange you manage to fit me in to! Fun!!!

Seeing as my user name is wittenlover, some may have already (correctly) assumed I love cats. I didn't have a picture of my Witten handy (she left me for the Rainbow Bridge 3 years ago), but I did have a picture of one of my two current fuzzes. The little cutie in the too small box is Mew. She's almost 6. :-)

Gotta be It's A Wonderful Life for me, though I only started watching it as a Christmas tradition in college with friends. Close second is A Christmas Carol with Patrick Stewart as Scrooge. I think he made a wonderful Scrooge. Hot on their heels is Home Alone. I still laugh till I cry when Kevin starts in on the thieves! I also love the classic TV shows - Rudolph, Frosty, the cartoon version of the Grinch and, of course, Charlie Brown Christmas. It's not Christmas for me till I've heard Linus standing on that stage telling the Christmas story.

Checked and replied! Thanks!

I always forget this is starting up and inveitably miss the deadline! Aaaaahhhh! Oh well. Maybe next year. I am, however, willing to be an elf if you find yourself in need of some.

Ha! Figures... I just went and looked again and they're there for Sprint now. Must have been a hiccup on BB's side earlier today.
-
One thing I noticed when I looked earlier is that the iPhone 5 for Sprint seems to have disappeared from the BB website. Bummer for me, as I am a Sprint customer and wanted to take advantage of the price cut. Rats! On the chance it might just be a glitch/website/operator error issue, can somebody let me know if you see them for Sprint? Thanks!

As my family is spread far and wide with work schedules not conducive to much travel (brother's a police officer, dad's a trainer that keeps him on the road for business, etc...), I often spend my Christmas day with friends. This year will be no different - my best friend has asked me to join her family on Christmas day. Looking forward to it.

I'm with katkat777 - LOVE this!

Mine's not up yet - been far too busy baking!!! I'll get it up by this weekend, though, and post a pic. Beautiful trees so far, y'all! Thanks for sharing!

Just got an email from Hendrick Motorsports (Kasey Kahne's team) today regarding a diecast sale they're having. Not sure if they are including the little ones in it or not, but you can check them out at http://store.hendrickmotorsports.com Also, if you're looking for just the little ones in general, you can browse other NASCAR team stores. Joe Gibbs Racing's shop link is http://shop.joegibbsracing.com, Roush Fenway Racing's shop link is http://roushfenway.com/store, Michael Watrip Racing's shop link is http://michaelwaltripracing.shop.sportstoday.com/, and Richard Childress Racing's shop link is http://rcrstore.com (Can you tell I'm a NASCAR fan? haha ) Hope you find lots of great stuff for your little guy.
