My son is convinced ours are at our storage unit too. That or he keeps saying I must not of gotten anything.....
-
No credit cards here either. We did take a $100 cash advance this week from dh's check next week- so that is the only debt we incurred this season. Only did it so I didn't have to worry about shopping on 12/23. (He travels for work and can have $250 a week in advanced money for expenses but usually only uses $100).

We usually head out for awhile. We don't attempt any returns until the following week when the kids are back in school.

I picked ours up 2 weeks ago. I was the only person in line, but it took them 35 minutes to find it.

I have a ton of storage bins in my office year round. I use them to organize my ebay stuff. Well- my ebay sales for winter clothing are over- and I use the bins for the gifts. DS (12) doesn't have a clue. I keep the top bins w/ some random "ebay" type items. Now- I have to hide my husbands gifts too. Those are in my son's closet on a shelf (wrapped).

We do santa gifts which are always wrapped on Christmas morning. Has to be 7am or later. This usually takes us about 3 hours. My husband and I do our gifts to each other then too, as well as my son's gifts to us and ours to him. All gifts are wrapped, w/ the exception of stocking stuffers. We do a Christmas Dinner and our gift exchange w/ my immediate family (mom/dad, neices, sister, ect) the Saturday before Christmas. This year it's going to be the 17th (so I'm only days away from round 1). This is like a mini Christmas. We are a small family and everyone buys for everyone and we tend to go over-board a bit. Christmas Eve- we go to my mom's families house for dinner around 3/4pm then to my dads sister's gathering around 7/8pm. The kids do a small gift exchange at my dad's sisters and my grandparents give gifts to any grandchildren and/or great-grandchildren under age 18. Christmas Day- We go to my in-laws. No gift exchange this year because they are all strapped. My son will go to his fathers for the day in the early afternoon. Last year my husband and I were having such a miserable time at his families we went to Denny's and then to the movies. This year anything could go.

We only have 1 left in our area and I haven't been there is many years.

That would be the best price then I've ever heard on it yet. It definetly didn't go even $19.99 around here. I watched the ads every week. For some reason our Walmart still has it for $38.88 as of Friday night.

Well--- I have to shop this week- this will push us to almost done. We both get paid so, we should be able to really come close. Then, my husband gets paid every week and I have a few little things to get on 12/23. So, I am soooo close but I need those last 2 checks to get there. Trying to make this a credit free holiday- which we've been so far so good on.

By the regular prices the OP gave this has got to be the Playskool one for toddlers. Not the tabletop one w/ the little silver balls which was the one someone posted getting for $14.99 at Target. That is a good deal- I bought the Playskool one for my neice at Target when they had the toy book coupons.

I get those about once a week. Got one today for a Jim Dickery in Chicago. Guess I paid him $365.00. Well- thats nice- I don't have that much in my paypal account nor in the account tied to it. I always double check my paypal accounts when I get them but I just send them off to the paypal fraud and be done with it.

I don't think the holiday merchandise will go up too much more again. They had it really discounted last year for the last few weeks before the holiday.
-
I was hoping to get that on BF too, and I didn't. I've been watching everywhere since then hoping for a better deal. I finally paid the $79.99. If you don't mind used- EB Games and Gamestop have them in the $55 range for the traded in ones. We bought 2 other game systems that way. They come w/ a short warranty and the extended warranties are usually very cheap.

There is nothing in that ad that jumps out as a good deal. I see it runs through the 17th. I guess we'll have to see if that last ad- will seal the deal or be a dud too.
-
Like everyone said- there will still be very few shipped before the holiday's. Still it will be extremely difficult to get one. I'm thinking they'll be pretty easy to get right after Christmas too. I don't know how old your son is...but possibly a gift card for the amount of the X-Box 360 so he can buy it as soon as it's readily available.

Siruis Satellite Radio No Rebate
leefamily23 replied to leefamily23's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Thank you for the replies. DH wants this- and he is a HUGE Howard fan- so he specifically said it has to be this one I guess. -
I am looking for a good deal on Siruis (am I spelling this right??) satellite radio. Nothing that mounts into the dash as dh wants it for his work truck that he doesn't own. I'd like to find the best deal that doesn't include a rebate. Thank you!!

I have never heard of this tradition. I'm going to do a little research about it. Then maybe next year we'll institute this.

What would you buy a Male / Female charity gift for a Homeless shelter?
leefamily23 replied to Mugglemom's topic in 2005
Since Burger King, McDonalds, and Tim Hortons all offer GC's in $1 increments. I think even $4-5 would be a great bonus gift w/ something. It would be a nice treat. -
I'll have to check out the TRU one. There isn't a BB close to me. Thank you.
-
I never even thought of it, but I have a CC coupon for like 10% off in my entertainment book. I'll have to look at that. Might save the tax if nothing else.
-
Anyone seen the PS2 lower than $149? Just wondering before I buy it this week at that price.
-
Yep, I just got back from mine. They still have at least 20 of the Sponge Bob and Dora TV combo's for the BF price. They also had at least 50 of the 23inch BF tv. They had the 5-11am sign still on them w/ the price slashed out and written in as $79.

Any GBA games or even the GBA on sale???? Also those are some good deals on CD's. I see 3 that are on my gift giving list!

Very interesting. I can appreciate the part about the GAP. I truly had to wonder what they were thinking. It didn't seem as if they got on board w/ any sales. I know we also went into Pac Sun- and they NO sale on BF. I was shocked.
