I think society has gotten worse since Covid, people think they can say and do what they want no matter what. WRONG. As for shopping, have to finish my wife’s presents this weekend. We have NOTHING wrapped. Just got the tree all done. Will probably wrap most of what we have Sunday.

Welcome to our world and most every product now.

We decided to add some more things for outside. Just put up the inflatable tree, have to put up the sidewalk markers this evening. I think we picked up some more net lights for our bushes also. Inside tree is up and decorated, stairs banister is decorated also. We have things up on the walls and doors but still have a bunch more to decorate inside that needs to be done by the weekend.

We’re doing a Christmas party this coming weekend and I’m smoking 2-3 top round roasts, I’m doing cheesy potatoes, honey glazed carrots, gravy, rolls and then we’re going to have cookies and some pies. Christmas Eve we are going to my cousins house. Christmas Day I’ll do my French toast casserole for breakfast, dinner we either do beef or sometimes we make Chinese lol.

Pigeon Forge TN is a great place, a lot to do from Dollywood on down. Can do trips to Cades Cove which is a huge loop where you can see real old settlements and a lot of wild animals (including black bears), you can also go into Gatlinburg and there is a ton to do on the main strip or take a ride over the mountains into Cherokee NC to do some shopping and get to see some of the Cherokee Indian history while on the reservation.

Outside is mostly decorated, tree is up and 90% decorated, rest of the house is about 1/2 done. Will be finished this week lol.

We normally would have had everything done last weekend but we went out of town for thanksgiving and didn’t get home in time.

Got the tree up this evening (daughter is having friends over all night for a bday party). So tomorrow we will decorate it and the rest of the house. Probably get stuff up outside also. Right now only have the inflatable nutcracker up.

So let’s see all of your Christmas trees and decorations. Sadly we don’t have ours up yet (we went to see family for Thanksgiving and it’s been a busy week) but we should rectify that this weekend.

A new month. Can’t believe we are only a few weeks from Christmas already.

It was sort of funny, I saw more people in Walmart on Saturday grocery shopping (by far) than we saw in the stores in Black Friday itself.

Yes it was very quiet. I think people saw no reason to go out. We went out purely out of tradition. I am NOT a fan of these stupid month long sales and no really good deals or doorbusters on Black Friday itself. Store that brings them back next year will probably win BF 2023.

Walmart in store was a joke.
