  1. Question: What is the advantage of keeping it in the cart? I would think that would be difficult when you wanted to buy one and you had a ton in there.

I keep everything in the wish list and then move it to my cart when the price is right.

You click "Save for Later" and it drops to the list below your cart. If you want to add something and check out, the things you saved aren't in there but rather directly under it in a different list. The advantage is that everytime you go to your "cart" it tells you all price changes since the last time you were there, for everything in the cart and everything saved for later.

  2. I signed up for Prime and I'm wondering how it works across multiple accounts. It says I can add 4 people, but how does that work. Do they piggy back off mine and just use their regular accounts? Every account has an address in common, but often ship to different addresses, is that ok? I couldn't find this info anywhere on Amazon for some reason.

    Thanks!

  3. Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 for XBox

Price: $16.03 & eligible for free shipping with Amazon Prime

I bought this yesterday and it came with a $10 credit towards a XBox Live purchase too. I didn't see it mentioned on the page yesterday or today, but got it showed up either during checkout or right after and the credit was emailed to me last night. Also, this game was $50 at Target the same day.

  4. I got the 4GB and then upgraded it with an additional 60GB, which was plenty for us and the kids. I did the starter kit that comes with 3 months of live and a headset too for about $80 on Amazon. I got a good deal on the 4GB so it was cheaper to do it this way ($100 last year on Amazon). You can get lots of different sizes...a 120GB (with no kit) is under $90 right now and the 250GB (no kit) is about $110. If the 4GB is a really good deal, take that and upgrade.

Just make sure the model you buy can be upgraded. That, I don't know much about. I know the Arcade is one that can. I think they are stopping the Arcade, but I wouldn't be surprised to see these at really good prices to empty stock.

  5. Tag Jr. may be helpful for him. My nephew is not autistic, but he is 2 and loves the Tag Jr. I bought him. My mom said it's helping him talk a lot better (I live far so I haven't seen the results). But the books are great for different levels and often cheap. My step-kids have the regular Tag and I loved the concept. It's a gift you can keep adding to. I got him the Tag Jr. and carry case with a couple books for his bday and now when I see the books on sale I pick them up for Xmas. Amazon often has good deals on these.

Depending on his specifc autism and his likes and dislikes will make a big difference. He may hate certain textures or things and may love others. If you aren't sure, definately ask his parents.

  6. Amazon has good deal today if you want wii fit plus/balance board too. if you buy them together ($300) you get $50 amazon credit on video game purchases (so an additional game or 2 or 3, controllers or whatever you want). Wii comes with sports AND sports resort, your choice white or black console. If you don't want wii fit, not a good deal. Don't forget the balance board is for lots of games, not just fit, it's just best priced with the fit game. Oh and free shipping, and no tax depending where you are with amazon.

I haven't played it but the game Flingsmash got good reviews on other sites and comes with an extra wii plus remote, good deal to maybe spend the 50 on. Also recommend Mario kart that comes with wheel. "Wii play" game also comes with a remote too. All of these were under $50. Remotes alone are $40 so it makes these games under $10. Good ways to get games and accessories.

You aren't going to find good prices on wii itself, just good bundles. prices don't change but extras are added to compensate.

  7. I like them both, Wii has lots more kid friendly and family games in my opinion, but xbox can be used for more things (ie, DVD player). Xbox has the new Kinect (no controllers) on it which is kind of cool but only for a few games (you can buy it with the console or after the fact), Wii has the motion controllers for all games.

You can get PS3's that are backwards compatible and will play the PS2 games. PS3 is the best option if you want a blu ray player. It's expensive, but if you use it for BR for the whole family, its more worth it than a regular BR because it does automatic updates. If you go to Amazon, there is an ongoing PS3 vs. XBox debate and people bring up Wii's too. We have all 3 and they are all great for different things. Really depends on what you'll use it for. Just for him or for the whole family, what kind of games does he like, etc.

  8. I dont like Walmart right now :( I ordered two of the 26" HDTV's they had on sale this morning at 9 and I just got an email that they had cancelled my order because of lack of product....boooooooooo

Complain. Amazon did something like that last year and everyone it happened to was offered the deal again via email. Their snafu was even earlier in the process, before sale was final and they still fixed it. You never know, walmart might too.

  9. Why not buy it now, and if you are willing to wait until Black Friday, wait to see if there is anything better. If there is, you can return that one to Target. :)

Thought I was the only one who did that, lol.

I'm watching the one with the bigger harddrive and move bundle for 399. Been wondering if that was a good deal.

Yours May be a good deal but only if you were going to get all that toy story stuff anyway.

  10. I am another one that knows nothing about the IPOD but, of course both kids want one for xmas! I have seen them at WM for $245 and they are probably worth that but my question is:

Do you pay a monthly fee for some of the services?

If you choose apps you'd have to pay for, yes. But thats it. I don't have anything that requires further payment. There are tons of free apps and most that you do pay for are a one time fee of $1-$5, mostly on the lower end of that. It does not have 3G so no monthly payment there. And it just uses your regular wifi connection for internet which is free. You could turn it into almost a phone with the free skype app too.

And wholesale clubs ( Costco, SAMs, etc) usually have the 32gb for $280 so the 8 gb a lot cheaper.

  11. I'd spend the extra and get the current generation (4). Gen 2 is actually 2 models back. The 4th has 2 cameras on it, still and video. I love mine. I have a 32gb but an 8 should be just fine. If the difference is only $50 it's well worth it.
