  1. I was thinking about this yesterday. I got the laptop last year and it's awesome.
  2. I know Sony makes a reader but I really know nothing about them. I use Stanza on my iPhone. You can get free downloads of alot of classic books at Projectgutenberg.org.
  3. I got an "cannot ship" notice too...BUT they have TWO different $$ amounts on hold on my CC acct.
  4. Awesome! Got 2 pair for $10.53 THANKS!!!
  5. Got the code entered but I'm still getting charged $9.95 shipping Subtotal: $5.62 Delivery Fee: $9.95 Coupon: ($0.56) Estimated Taxes: Tax Exempt? $1.05 Total: $16.06
  6. Thanks for the advice on the Vulcan. That was #1 on DS12-2's list. Guess I won't be wasting the $35!
  7. We're really in the same boat, we pay the same expenses for DD, but since she's paying for all of her college expenses we decided to keep Christmas the same for now. I'm sure there will come a time when we will cut back, but not quite yet.
  8. Ah, I see. Well, then I guess my advice would be the same as someone above then...follow your heart. You know best on how he will react to a change.
  9. Our stockings must be smaller than most LOL. I'd never be able to fit a CD or books in them. My kids get candy bars, Pez, gift cards/certificates or any small gifts that I think would get lost under the tree. Since DD is 18 now, I might do the lottery ticket thing...that would be fun.
  10. I should do it as I buy them, but I'm one of those people up until 2 am Christmas eve wrapping gifts LOL
  11. DS12-1: Bike, DS games, vibrating football game, bank, hoodies, DVDs DS12-2: Bike, DS games, StarWars voice helmet, bank, hoodies, DVDs DD18: Jewelry, Nike headphones, Oakley sunglasses, DVDs, DS games
  12. What would happen if you don't discuss it with her and just do what you feel comfortable with? I know it sounds cowardly, but it would at least postpone the ugliness until the last minute
  13. I would still spend the same....you're paying for food & expenses for the younger one, right? And you paid for his cell, ins, etc BEFORE he moved to college I'm assuming...So, IMO that's a moot argument. I plan on getting the same amount of gifts for my college daughter as I am her brothers at home. Hers may just be more practical & portable than in the past LOL
  14. I'm bummed I didn't win (again LOL) but congrats to the winners! I had a blast reading all the stories.
  15. I posted on my FB status (www.facebook.com/granddelusion) & re-tweeted u on Twitter (twitter.com/granddelusion)
  16. I vow not to buy a bunch of crap I don't need just because the price is great.
  17. The 1st year Menards opened in this area we thought no one would show up to a home improvement store for BF...boy, were we WRONG!! We spent 4 hours in line because the store was so unprepared for the crowd. The best part is that we met some folks in line who also spend their race weekend @ Michigan in the infield, so in August we got to go "visit" them again
  18. WOW, that's really hypocritical....so it's OK if a store does YOUR religious holiday but not anyone elses???
  19. There was one opened in Fort Wayne, IN today....does anyone have any BF experience with them? Their ad said they will match any competitor so I'm hoping that they may be an alternative to WM & BB.
  20. I buy them after Christmas when they're 75-90% off, so yes, I'm ready to go! I usually mail mine out the 2nd week of December.
  21. Half.com has them from $79 used to $96 new.
  22. yeah, yesterday when I was on there was NO eyewear at all in the vault. She wanted Fours or the Minutes that are on clearance but I know she won't wear pink
  23. Oh man, I was just on there yesterday looking for a pair for my DD & the ones she wanted are now sold out
