  1. I have a classic tree in the living room. The dining room has a Hockey theme, kitchen has tractors, downstairs bathroom is rubber ducks, landing is nutcrackers, family room is music and one with ornaments collected traveling, and the upstairs bathroom is Sponge Bob. We also do 3 small trees with just regular ornaments.
  2. I won an iPad from GD last year so never say never ;-)
  3. Agreed. I don't think I bought any dvds from Amazon last year. It was just easier to get them from Best Buy or in person.
  4. Better late than never! Lol
  5. I just heard that Sirius/XM will be flipping to Christmas music TODAY 11/2 at 5 PM eastern time on the Love channel (17). Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using GottaDeal mobile app
  6. This reminds me of when my son was little and some kid at school told him there was no Santa. He replied "!there has to be a Santa, my Mom can't afford all that stuff" LOL
  7. Congrats all. It was fun reading what everyone came up with.
  8. In my Walmart, they moved .com pickup to the service desk so that'll be a nightmare on BF. They also block off the front And make everyone go up the center aisle to check out. An employee directs people to various checkouts from the one line.
  9. 1. Flash Mob! Who's with me? 2. This ought to be enough to keep those pesky carolers off my lawn. 3. Daughter: Mother, you said we were going to see One Direction. Mother: No, I said in what direction were the doorbusters?
  10. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in sour cream. Gradually add muffin mix alternately with milk. Fold in corn. Pour into a greased 3-qt. baking dish. Bake, uncovered, 45-50 minutes or until set and lightly browned. Yield: 8 servings.
  11. I got my BIL peanuts and a 6-pack of beer one year. He loved it.
  12. We do turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, a vegetable, Hawaiian rolls, pumpkin pie and a cheesecake.
  13. My MIL is extremely hard to buy for. She has no hobbies, doesn't like music, doesn't read, doesn't watch TV and has more clothing than she needs. She doesn't use cosmetics, perfume or get her hair done much so I know a spa day wouldn't be welcome. She does love one fast food chain, but all of her other children get her GCs to there. I've been reduced to boring fruit baskets every year, although I know she enjoys them. So what do you get the difficult person in your life?
  14. Welcome to my world as a Lions fan. We ALWAYS have a conflict.
  15. Ours goes up after my birthday on December 5 and stays up until Twelfth night.
  16. I'm looking forward to the Walmart & Target ads.
  17. None of our Hallmarks are in a mall here. They're all free-standing or in strip shopping centers. On the other hand, the mall has TWO BBWs.
  18. My kids' teachers used to send home a list of things they needed for the classrooms. They get so much useless "stuff" that it was nice to know you were getting them things they needed. The lists were usually school supplies & gift cards.
  19. Never bought one on BF but I got a great deal on December 26th once. Dealership was dead and they wanted to sell cars before the end of the year.
  20. My daughter loves her SP4. She bought it for grad school instead of a new laptop. I can't really justify the cost for myself, I bought a $400 BF laptop and installed a $100 1TB SSD + maxed out the RAM instead.
  21. DVDs of TV seasons cheap and I'll probably be on the lookout for a small TV since DS1 took my treadmill TV to college.
  22. I used to work at a huge mall. We moved our store from one end to the other one night and I never realized it had a basement and all these shortcuts to get places. Once I learned the employee-only shortcut to the food court, I was happy LOL
  23. The new Nintendo NX/Switch looks like a cool gadget...too bad it won't launch until March 2017. I wonder if my kids will take a rain check? LOL
  24. I've lost the love also. For me it's a combination of the lack of really great deals + the passage of time. My kids are all grown (19, 19 & 25), no grandkids, parents all gone except MIL, only child so no sibs on my side & in-laws don't do holidays...so it makes a lot less to buy for. I still spend the same one the kids as I always did, but electronics make the $ not go as far.
  25. I use automatic deduction from pay checks. $20/week ($1040) + all the deals I get throughout the year is usually plenty. We don't buy for anyone but our kids and MIL.
