  1. I was just wondering what everyone does as far as baking Christmas cookies. For example, my family and friends plan a day where we all make dozens upon dozens of cookies and then split them. We usually have 4 or 5 mixers going and rolling, decorating, icing, sorting, etc 'stations'. We listen to Christmas music, chatter, laugh and just have the best time. Please share your baking traditions....:
  2. It is not dried food, it is the eye socket (for lack of a better word) like I said it was 3 hours after she opened her. I followed every direction perfectly. It really burns me up when a company cannot make a quality product.
  3. Hopefully this will save some from making bad purchase as I did. My daughter just got this for her birthday this past weekend. Exacty 3 hours after she had her, she had given her two bottles, and fed her one time. Her lip color is coming off, the face around the eyes is cracking and her rubbery face just looks gross. We paid 39.99 for this doll and it is falling apart in less than a day. I wrote the company and am awaiting a reply to my email. I am very disappointed, it is such a waste of money.
  4. Check craft shows for homemade dolls, you can buy 'tags' at AC Moore and the likes that will say made especially for you, make your own tag that says made by the elves. Also I would do something with a necklace or locket around its neck that states something about the magic of the elves has been put inside. That way she has something that she can touch that she can 'feel' the elves made it. That is a very cute statement, I too would be on a mission to make that wish come true.
  5. My daughter and I saw the commercial for the 25 days of Christmas specials on ABC family and I am so excited. I think this will be the first year that she really remembers seeing them. I can't wait to make popcorn and snuggle while watching *my* favorites.
  6. I was also looking for the LP ramp around garage, but not only did I not see it on sale, but I have not seen it period. I bought curious george in oct. right after it was released but I haven't seen it on sale since then.
  7. I know that the door busters/ early bird items have been posted, but does anyone remember if the rest of the ad is usually any thing good? Are they super good deals or not? I was just curious how the rest of the add usually stacks up?
  8. As many as we have time and energy for. Starting at wal-mart, target, old navy, tru, then hitting the mall for the disney store. These plans can be changed at anytime due to new sales, new info, etc. LOL
  9. definetly a huge DITTO on the one. If you hate it, stay home!!!! I love, so get out of my way! LOL:D
  10. Before you purchase this, you may want to read some of the reviews on Amazon.com. The majority of them are horrible and that this product is not worth any amount of $. Just an FYI before you spend money on something that is not going to meet your expectations.
  11. The Siamese Twin gift-wrap. First divide your guests up into teams of two people. You'll need to have wrapping paper, tape and all supplies for wrapping a present, in this case a tissue paper box is ideal, in front of the two or more teams. The teams will need to wrap the present standing side by side with one hand free and the other on each others waists. The idea is two people side by side, one using his left hand, the other person using their right hand. The object is to see which Siamese Twin team can wrap the present the best in the allotted time. The remaining guest select the best package as the winner. This can also be played as a relay or be based on fastest time (as long as it is wrapped correctly).
  12. Just wanted to remind everyone, that black friday would be a great oppurtunity to use some of the great deals you may find to purchase for a child from an angel tree or get some toys for the Toys for Tots program. Some stores will offer B1G1 on games, inexpensive Barbies are always nice to name a couple. I know it is a crazy, busy, fun shopping day, but it may be a great time to help someone else as well.
  13. I would definetly go with Legos, magnetix, or things like that. They can be used again and again, no batteries, and if he gets even a small amount of money he can add to his set.
  14. I had problems around the time the walmart ad was posted, but haven't had any problems since. I figured there were just too many people online at that time.
  15. On BF when you are doing price matching can you go right through the regular registers? I cn't seem to remember from last year how people were doing it.
  16. I am hoping to get my hands on one of these as well.
  17. So far I don't see it on any of the black friday ads.
  18. I bought mine when it was released at Walmart. I think I paid 14.XX for it.
  19. Personally, for me, it wasn't that hearing "Happy Holidays" was offensive, quite the contrary. It was the fact that an employee was supposedly not permitted to wish a customer "Merry Christmas" for fear that it may offend someone. Well in my opinion, not that it matters to any but myself, but if I am buying Christmas cards, Christmas wrapping paper and decorations, it would be pretty safe to say "Merry Christmas" If someone in ear shot does not celebrate Christmas, it shouldn't be a big deal b/c they were not being spoken too. Hope that wasn't too much rambling and my point comes across in text.
  20. I will have to see if I can find one from last year. I also am going to take pics of an individual wreath this year.
  21. Last year, I got my wake up call after I was in line but it was still fun! It made me chuckle:D
  22. Thank goodness!!! i am so glad that they got the point of the public voice. Everytime a walmart employee would say Happy Holidays last year, I would reply with a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! Great job walmart! Merry Christmas!
  23. The door busters are not that exciting, but like others have said, that is just the early bird stuff, the whole ad is not there yet. Maybe that just means that Walmart won't be the first stop this year.
  24. We have a few 'sets' of themed ornaments. But for the past few years we have been making candy wreaths every year to use as the main decoration. This year we will have the candy wreaths, strings of popcorn and cranberries.
