The link no longer works from last year, no one can find it on target's website and some from these forums said they called Target and was told that they are not doing it this year.

We put it all away with the exception of a small nativity scene. It is a small knick knack only a few inches big. My dd (4 tommorow) had such a fit last year when we were putting Christmas things away that I said she could keep one decoration out. She picked this nativity, she changes its spot daily and it ends up in different rooms. It is her daily thing.

Thanks that's great to know! I hadn't heard of this before.

The website www.morningmonkeys.com is has a free trial offer to receive 1 wake up call from a bunch of monkeys. The first call is free and you do not have to submit any credit card info to receive the free call. Its not a celebrity but it may be funny! Just thought I'd pass it along.

Thanks, I'll have to check that out!!!!

I personally want to be at home for Christmas. I like to visit with my family, extended and immediate. I want to sit by MY tree on Christmas eve and plan my Christmas breakfast with my kids. I want to wait for the kids to wake up to find the presents under the tree. Other people do like to do vacations, that is their 'thing'. I think it was rather selfish of your IL's to impose their 'thing' on you. While it was generous of them to pay for your cruise, the fact that they picked the date and are telling you when/how to use the gift kind of overrides the generousity. I would definetly talk it over with your DH and tell him how you feel. If you are this upset now, you will not be able to have fun on the cruise thus making everyone's trip less enjoyable. Good luck:fluffy:

My DH has no idea. He says he wants to keep it that way and knows that I will not spend more than we have to spend. He makes jokes about my PM and taking other ads to walmart to adjust the price on our layaway, but he does it in fun and knows I am saving $$$$.

My Bday is the 15th of Dec. and I always hated getting Christmas things for my bday. FOr ex. one year almost everyone got me snowman stuffed animals, one time my mom just asked for flowers on my cake and store gave us pointsettias. My point is make sure the birthday gift and/or theme is not Christmas related.

I have ordered from LTD in the past and I prefer www.lakeside.com much more. I like their catelogs better, the online process, AND the customer service. Many of the same items are offered and shipping is more reasonable.

Do they put out an ad? How would we find out if they open early? have sales? sale items, etc?

Our Walmart stays open as well! I am so glad that I get to wait inside and not out in the cold!!!
-
Same here breakfast casserole that I have premade and can pop in so that it is ready to eat after we open presents.

I think that is pretty normal for things to be out already. There are some that would rather pay more now than deal with the crowds on bf and after. Silly silly people LOL:tongue1:

My hubby laughs at me and my bf shopping preparations? He would totally throw me off, he is too slow and would deviate from the plan LOL. He does go with me to do our initial shopping trip for our kids. But after that it is all me.

I am just wondering what type of bag , if any, everyone carries? Last year I took my regular purse and it totally got in the way. I obviously wasn't going to leave it in the cart while working my way in to get blitz items at walmart, but I felt like I was constantly having to rearrange to be able to reach, dig, dodge. Not a tremendously important topic, but still something I"m curious about.:)

Holiday Hours are out at my Walmart..how about yours?

Same with our walmart. Ours is 24 hr, so it is nice for BF b/c you get to wait inside the store instead of out in the cold. -

I have seen the chairs anywhere from 29.99 to 79.99, so I'm sure their are different styles etc. My mom got my niece's on clearance, but I did see one in the JCPenney catelog for 39.99 this year. -
I hope I have time to hit KBToys on BF. I really like that store, but they are VERY small, definetly not a store I would want to be stuck in for a long time.
-
Too me it looks like an accident waiting to happen LOL. All I can see is a 4 yo and 1 yo trapped underneath the tree after they tried to climb it.
-
WOOHOO! I sure did, I was only looking for an Elmo TMX and I got it with 30 seconds of the doors opening.

I'd really like a sewing box.

My FIL just called, he is at the Walmart in Ephrata, PA and they have a ton of TMX. If anyone in south eastern PA needs one, they are there.

I just got home from getting one at Target!!! I was there at 630am, they opened at 8. I got out of my car at 7ish. The first 40 people got one and now they are gone!! They used the ticket system and it went well. :elmo:

My niece is almost 13 and for the past few years she has been asking for Blockbuster giftcards. Last year we got her one of the 'funky' chairs with a speaker in it for her room, and the blockbuster card so she could rent the movies she wanted. It went over very big. -
This Mommy is heading to target bright and early. I am ready to grab a TMX:tongue1:
