I started prepping as soon as I got outta bed this morning. Had to boil lots of eggs to have ready for my dressing, potato salad and deviled eggs. Got my pie crusts made this morning and set aside to be filled here in just a little bit. Fried my onion and celery up together to have for my dressing that will be made in a little bit. Chopped my pickles this morning to put in my potato salad later. It's so much easier to prep and prepare little things like that ahead of time.

Come right on. My broccoli casserole is 2 bags of frozen brocc florets cooked, small block of velveeta, about a half jar of cheese whiz, around 3 packags of ritz crackers and butter. Cook broccoli until it's tender. Drain and then add everything else except butter. Stir it up real good. Melt butter in bottom of pan, add some leftover crushed ritz. Pour your mixture on top and bake. It's sooooo cheesy and soooo good. Everybody loves it.

I make as much of mine as I can the night before and refrigerate. Some stuff can't be cooked until tomorrow though like the turkey, lol. I make my sweet potatoes, green beans, dressing, broccoli casserole, corn, cole slaw, potato salad and well, you get the picture the night before. All of my desserts get made the day before. I make my turkey, mashed potatoes, mac n cheese, rolls and other stuff that I don't think taste good when made a day ahead of time on the day of Thanksgiving.

I did finally get it to add to cart, don't know why it wouldn't to begin with. Now I'm not sure if I want it. Does anybody know anything about this camera? I've tried finding reviews for it but see none. Since I need a new camera, I went ahead and bought it.

Db # 2 & his wife - house shoes for her, 3 Aeropostale shirts for him. Ds - Ugh!!...very hard for him this year. His gf and her mother have bought him tons of stuff. I have not been informed of what it is so don't know what to get him that they don't have. He just let me know this today so I'm gonna have to ask them what they got. So far I've only got him 4 shirts. I did have him the ps4 but he didn't wanna wait so he paid me back for that. I should have made him wait anyways. Mom - Rachael Ray cookware. Same here. The holidays are very stressful as well as a bit sad around here anymore. I did put up our Christmas tree last weekend or maybe it was the weekend before with no help from the family. Dh was hunting but at least he did send me a text asking if I had the tree up yet. Ds was at work and wouldn't you know, I get a text from him as well telling me to make sure and put the tree up. Dd was in her bedroom on her laptop while I was doing it. My brother came over and told me I had my tree up way to early. I've listened to Christmas music quite a bit on the music choice channels. I've been told by the family it's too early for Christmas music. I've tried to get dd to make her Christmas list but she says not yet. Outside from my immediate family here at home, the rest of the family is totally messed up besides my 2 brothers. So it will probably only be us, the brother's and their wives and my son's gf for the holidays. Oh, I get no help with the holiday cooking either which is probably a good thing though. Black Friday...ugh, that's another thing. I usually look forward to this every year but not this year. The new early start times has ruined it for me. I probably won't even go out and just try and score some things online. I've already gotten a few things at extremely cheap prices thanks to this website. My kid's aren't asking for any of the big ticket items this year anyways. So yeah, I'm about ready for the new year to get here.

I have in years past tried to spend around the same amount on each kid. I've also done the same amount as gifts no matter the cost for each kid. Now, it's just both gets their "big" gift whether that be one getting a 4 or 500 dollar game system while the other may get a 200 dollar ipod touch or laptop etc. as the "big" gift. Then some smaller less expensive things. Whatever they choose as their big gift, we try and get. They don't mind if the same amount is spent on each. Their just happy they get that big gift that they've asked for. We don't have a whole lot of people to buy for. My mom, dad, 2 brother's and their wives, teachers and that's about it. His family doesn't acknowledge my kids so their not included in my life.

Online they always have 40% off and most of the time there's a 20% to go with it pretty much year round. Their prices are still outrageous. 50% off is not much of a deal with them especially since most of the time you can get the 60% combination. We purchase from there quite a bit because my dd likes their stuff but their prices are crazy.

Maybe you could invite them over to your house for Christmas dinner and then have them a little something to open as well.

I don't think there's anything wrong with asking them to bring something. My guests usually ask me what or if they should bring something.

Soups, chilli, big pot of soup beans with corn bread. Feeds a lot and don't cost too much. Hamburgers/cheeseburgers, sandwiches and chips, sloppy joes with chips or French fries/onion rings/tater tots. These are all cheap options and don't take much effort at all. You are talking about the other days besides Thanksgiving right?

Not excited at all. Black Friday has always been stressful but I loved it, now it's even more stressful. I think I'll do most of my shopping online this year. I did most of it online last year as well.

Netflix added some Christmas shows in the last few days. Polar Express was added. We watched it earlier. National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, Jack Frost, some Mickey Mouse Christmas shows and some more was added if anybody has Netflix and wants to check em out.

I have no problem going out on Thanksgiving evening or night waiting to shop but I really dislike that the sales start that night now.
