Question: I got in on the lightning deal for the xbox, at least that's what it says on my invoice, however... I still have not been emailed a promo code. I do have prime so I already have the xbox, just wondering if I should be concerned about the promo not being there since I've never done a lightning deal before? Thanks!

Me too. I managed to get a television at Sam's today at the BF price, and this game system and two Monster High dolls off of Amazon today... For the first time in many years I'm going to have a stress free Black Friday. WOW.. What a great feeling!

so.... I was in my local FinishLine picking something up and I look over on the counter at the sign that says "ATTENTION... This store will be opening at midnight BF." I think I physically groaned LOUDLY...the girl working looked over at me, so I took the opportunity to ask if "all the stores in the mall were opening at midnight." she told me no, but that she BBW was "thinking about it", AE most likely was, along with some of the smaller stores. She told me two of the anchor stores were opening at 3am and the other two were opening at 4am. The 4 stores she was referring to were JCPenney, Dicks Sporting Goods, Belk and Sears. All I can say is UGH!!!!!!!!

No, they are referring to the BF preview ad that Walmart "claimed" they were going to share on fb, and with people signed up for their emails today. Still haven't seen it either....

I know... I hated the holidays when I worked retail because it always seemed like you never got to "enjoy" them like others, but it's so much worse now than when I worked, one reason I have always been glad ds didn't work retail.

I hate them... I'm at our church fixing Thanksgiving meals for shut ins, homeless, and yes... the people that have to work at 7am on Thanksgiving morning along with about 50 of my closest friends. btw, we delievered over 100 hot meals to Walmart employees in our area last Thanksgiving... we are there until around 2PM, when I go home I have to finish my own meal for the family that will be at my house around 6, hopefully they are out the door around 11~ there is no way I can do midnight openings. I tried the Walmart thing last year... and was back home in bed at 2am.

Yes, I can believe that. Last year it was a nightmare because the Itunes cards weren't ringing right in the system. My local store had so many people waiting they started a list and told everyone to come back later in the afternoon for their cards. Seems like a lot of the other posters on this board had the same problem.

I'm thinking LeapPad items will quite possibly fall into that catagory. It seems like there are much more exclusions on this one than I remember in the past.

A funny story... I always told ds who is now 18 that when he stopped believing he would only be getting socks and underwear for Christmas, (a family joke). 2 years ago he saw a pair of boxers that he really liked at AE- they had penguins on them. He told me he wanted them for Christmas, and quickly followed the request up with... "but OF COURSE,that doesn't mean that I don't BELIEVE in santa!!!":D

I got the $10 off $100 sticker as well, however due to all the exclusions I don't know that I will use it. :)

He is 18, a fresh in college. He's actually had a Wii system since they came out, used it mainly for guitar hero and sports games, but he's ready for something new.
