Finding out that Best Buy had Black Friday sales on line thanks to this forum. We don't live anywhere near one so I'd of never known. DD#2 is finally getting the camcorder she's asked for the last two years.

I ordered one for my twelve year old daughter. She's been asking for this since it came out and I said we'd see when they went on sale. Just took 2 years or more for me to finally see a sale lol I hope there is some cool software that comes with it until we can find some after holidays sales for more

Attention: Open up another browser and log into the Circuit City site. They are selling bundles off and on - but good bundles lol The wii console along with an extra wii-mote and nunchuk. $309.97 which is the exact cost of each item. Keep trying back - they are opening them up a few at a time!

The Amazon/Target bundles have turned out to be a nightmare for people. I ordered console only 11/30 and it arrived this afternoon. Try going directly to the UPS site to check the tracking - it is more accurate then the Amazon onsite tracker.

KJEGBERT Your email wasn't nasty enough I guess. There are several on the Amazon Wii page discussion board in the same boat and they complained and got a $50 gift card for their trouble. I complained and got my order cancelled BUT when they goofed up and posted the console only (which is all I wanted anyway) I was able to get it. According to my UPS Tracker it should be here in an hour or so. I'm hoping they stick a surprise in there for my trouble but sure doubt it lol Good luck!

Thought I'd check while up at Walmart this morning. They have only 5 to sell and that at 8 am. Glad I don't work there because of the number of complaints they'll get from Mom's who no way on earth can be there and get the kids off to school.

We live along Interstate 80 in Illinois. Seems to be the trend to replace the Walmart with Supercenters period. The first Supercenter (abt 4 to 5 yrs old) had a regular size Craft/Sewing department. Then when our brand new was built with a mini-one I was shocked but have a feeling they have a game plan. For example the women/junior clothes section is much larger and spaced very nicely. Like Target they are supposed to be getting more into designer lines. Plus in case you missed my post elsewhere we no longer have customer scanners in our stores.

I must say the midweek 8 am release at Walmart is very poor planning. Parents are getting the kids off to school at that hour. Sure cuts out part of the shoppers. I hope that the 24 hr Super Cents reconsider for those parents and offer it at 12:01

Someone recommended to me you set up the unit to make sure everything is in working order before wrapping it up for Christmas. I did just that this morning and everything is working fine and I did the internet set up. That took abt 30 min. total (lots of people hitting in right now - and of course your connection speed makes a difference too). They say if you do encounter a problem, call Nintendo and they ask you give them a credit card number for security and they ship you a new wii console only and if you don't return the old one they bill you for a new unit.

Well I did pick up one of those Secret Special Robes for myself, maybe I can get slippers to go with?

I imagine they will process the existing orders and reevaluate stock on hand and then offer more as they become available. They had a fiasco with the bundle preorder and the opening day unit only order so they are proceeding carefully after ticking off so many customers lol So just be patient and keep refreshing - it will change from the high priced private sellers to an Amazon order when it becomes available.

The system comes with one wiimote (remote) and one numchuk. The Walmart Electronics Manger told me that their shipments of extra pieces will arrive with the Wii shipment. So whether they will be put on the shelves before Wed. is unknown, but I would suspect they will be put on Wed. as well.

Sure makes sense. Anything and everything to pull those numbers up. If nothing else I would suspect at least the competitors will do see if the Sun. release of the Wii will bring up numbers enough and then will be forced to follow suit.

Took me about 5 minutes because I saw on the Amazon Wii Board that someone just scored a bundle and seeing that I figured I might be able to just get the unit. So I tihnk I probably got the first stand alone unit. I requested 2nd day air of $8 with a delivery date of 12/5 so my total was $258.97 Which was cheaper then I could of bought it here if I was able to score the few coming in Wed. with tax and gas.

Woo hoo! I'm tickled you could get one. Even sitting here at the computer hitting refresh for a couple of hours beats standing in line at a store with a bunch of crazed wii-seekers lol My mother always told me patience pays off, it did this time at least lol

Okay, just scored my second Wii (wii-haw!) Console only over at amazon What you need to do is do a search for "wii console". It will come up as not available. Keep that page up and refresh every minute or two I think in order to avoid the fiasco created by the release date and them taking more orders then they had units (not to mention Target hanging their rear ends out to dry) they are putting them up a couple at a time. It says estimated ship date tomorrow. Now this is console only not those annoying bundles which are popping up in between consoles.

Congrats - Passthe crablegs Hmmm I got the Walmart weekly ad here in Illinois and it said min. 3 per store in it and only on Wed. Dec. 6th. No mention of a Sunday. Is there a second add with this Sunday date? Or is someone looking at the old ad?

Probably strategic marketing at Warmart. Hang around waiting to get that wii then hopefully pick up accessories there and since you are there anyway, do a bit more shopping. I would assume the Wii itself is not a high markup item, the money is to be made in the accessories and games. So picking up a few more sales to committed shoppers does make more sense. I know it doesn't make it any less frustrating for the shopper though.

We have a brand new Super Walmart and the sewing/fabric area is much less then what we had in the old Walmart. Craft sections are way less too. I don't get it since it's an hour ride one way to go to a craft sotre. They had the market cornered here for that stuff. But must be the new WM trend. Buy it - don't sew it or make it.
