  1. The contrast is what I was wondering about. Is the 1000:1 good for a 32 inch or does it need to be higher?
  2. For Christmas my in laws give us a gift card to somewhere like linen's and things. That way we can get a household gift. DH just considers it a gift for me, but he says he benefits from whatever I get with the gift card anyway, so he is fine with that. They live in AZ and we are in GA, so it is easier for them to do a gift card then to try to guess what to buy. Then I go and use it for after Christmas sales and get twice as much! :)
  3. That is funny I have the exact same thing. If you try it let us know if you have any luck. I am thinking that it will work as long as the total after the coupons and TRU Bucks is over $75.
  4. I went to Kmart this morning (got some great deals! and bought a large chunk of DD's Christmas for about a quarter of the original price.) they had a sign up that said there would be a huge sale on the 3rd...that was all it said though. It was just black ink on a white paper. this must be what they were talking about. So....it is on Saturday that they are doing it. At least we will have time to scope out what we can use the coupon on.
  5. When the wreaths are laid I want to go by and get some pictures as well.
  6. Here is the reply I got: I'm sorry you feel that way, but the stories people have passed on to me do not represent our position. Some comments attributed to me are actually from a Steven Baker, described as "vice president of industry analysis for NPD Group." We are only concerned with one fact: that trading in this material (which is stolen from us) is a violation of federal laws. All we're doing is reminding the websites that they need to follow the law. I hope you understand our position. -j. At least it was a personal reply rather than a generic one.
  7. Use it to fill a vase along with berries for decoration.
  8. DS had played with the Thomas sets before we got the GeoTrax and he has been thrilled with the GeoTrax. We got the first set when he was 2 and he he has been using them ever since (he turns 5 next month). He still likes to get new additions every now and then.
  9. I just don't get it. Stores have long since made their decisions for Black Friday by the time ads leak out. It is not like all the other stores can suddenly beat Wal-Mart's prices. Walmart should be thanking GottaDeal for all the advertising they get. Instead they are biting the had that feeds them. I sent an email. Please keep us updated Brad.
  10. I like that one cokemeyer...that may just be it. I have to go to town tomorrow so I think I will see if they have it in the store at Target. I think I am going to make him one out of boxes tht is yellow though that he can play in too.
  11. I have had many of you ask of things you can do for our soldiers. Well this one is not for those in Iraq today, but for those that have died during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Let me explain. The 3rd Infantry Division whose home is Fort Stewart / Hunter Army Airfield, GA looses many soldiers each month. Each month a tree ceremony is held and a tree is planted for each soldier that died the previous month in Iraq. As of right now there are 369 trees representing the young men and women from Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield who have given their lives for our freedom. http://www.warfoto.com/OIF2013.jpg These trees serve as a living memorial to that solders life and sacrifice. There is an area at the bottom with the soldiers name and family and friends can put mementos at the base of the tree. These trees are also decorated throughout the year. At Christmas time a tradition that is also done at Arlington and other areas is done at Warriors Walk. Wreaths are laid at each tree. If you want to sponsor a wreath, you can find out more information by visiting this site: http://www.geocities.com/wreaths4warriorswalk/ Cost to sponsor a single wreath is $15.00 or you can sponsor multiple wreaths. If you do it online (there is a link to the national Wreaths for Warriors site) be sure to put 'Wreaths for Warriors Walk' on line 2 of your address line when you sponsor online. Or you can send a check made out to Wreaths Across America to Wreaths for Warriors Walk c/o Anthony Justi P.O. Box 3533 Fort Stewart, GA 31315 and they will consolidate and forward to Wreaths Across America. FYI, I am not affiliated in any way with the group doing this, but as giving as so many of you are, I thought you might be interested. Several have asked me about stuff they can do and when I got the info on this today I thought about the target thread and paying it forward. I just thought some of you might want to join me in donating toward honoring those we have lost.
  12. Hmn that could be the one the OP is looking for. it has an inflatable chair to go with it (sold separately) http://www.target.com/Rose-Petal-Dream-Town-Playhouse/dp/B000OV79VI/sr=1-1/qid=1192722080/ref=sr_1_1/601-7582352-9408962?ie=UTF8&index=target&rh=k%3Arose%20playhouse&page=1
  13. I will be using this one for sure. :) $10 off of $50 good through this weekend only. EXP 10/21/2007 http://www.cvs.com/CVSApp/cvs/gateway/promotion?pid=6105&step_nbr=160
  14. He wants one to play with..he drew me a picture. He said he has never seen one before he just used his imagination and wants one. lol He said it needs to be a toy he can play with and that he does not need to actually get in it, just one he can play with and pretend it is in outer space. I told him it may not be able to be yellow, and he understood so at least I have a little leeway there. I would go for the Little Einstein's Pat Pat, but I won't press my luck. Thanks for the help. :)
  15. Yep without a problem. They went straight through without a problem.
  16. My DS will be 5 on the 25th of November. He has decided that he wants a Yellow Rocket Ship. I have no clue where he got this idea or if they sell them anywhere. I am open to different ideas as I have no clue where to start on this.
  17. Nope mine is in January. But DS's Bday falls on it some years. In 2005 it was on BF (the 25th of November).
  18. Right above the bar code there should be a section that says "Retailer: Authenticate at www.veri-fi.com. Do not accept without a dot-scan bar code below the expiration date. (I do not have the Tylenol one here, but I have another coupon I printed and that is what they usually say). So that is how they can verify that it is a real coupon. However, I stopped a long time ago trying to use internet coupons at Walmart. If I can get the item at CVS I use it there. I can get Walmart to accept them after much debate, but it is just not worth the hassle to me when I can use it somewhere else without an issue.
  19. Heads up next week CVS has a deal on Tylenol Get $10 ECB back when you spend $20 on Tylenol (Extra Strength, PM, Rapid Release, EZ Tabs, 8 Hour, Arthritis 80 or 100 ct.. Prices starting at $8.69) So you could get 3 @ 8.69 each for $26.07 minus $10 (for the 2 coupons that you are allowed to print on the Tylenol site)= $16.07-$10 ECB's means $6.07 OOP for 3 boxes. If you manage to use 3 coupons, you could get 3 for $1.07 Edit: I just noticed on the link in the original post you can print $1.00 coupons so even with just two $5 coupons and 1- $1 coupon, you could get 3 products for $5.07 OOP
  20. I can't believe they did not do a BOC... What is a woot off without one??? Ugh...I am glad I did not stay up for this one. To answer the above poster, yet I have gotten a BOC before and a few others on here have as well.
  21. I know let's wait till we get other spam sites and sign him up for them :)
  22. Thanks for your hard work Eve. I can't wait to get my names. :)
  23. I used to have a boss that would give out a dinner basket every year to the employees along with our Christmas bonus. He told a story of how he dropped off one of the employees one year on Christmas Eve. The gentleman forgot something in the car so he went to take it in to him. When he got inside he saw bare cabinets and found that the family would not be having a Christmas dinner the next day. He went out and bought all of the fixings for dinner the next day. Ever since he has always given out a basket of food to every single employee to ensure that they would have food to eat for Christmas. Every year he got dozens of large apple baskets and filled them to the top. There was corn, dumplings, chicken broth, cranberry sauce, dinner rolls, cans of all kinds of veggies, pumpkin for pies, crust, macaroni and cheese, stuffing, potatoes, and a giant turkey in the middle. Oh he even made sure there was butter, salt, pepper, and anything else you might possibly need to make a wonderful Christmas dinner. I think what you are doing is wonderful. Just make sure to get it to them early enough that it eases some of their worry. :) God Bless You. This is truly the reason for the season. :)
