  1. I have used the mudslide in frozen coffee drinks. I have also used strawberry daiquiri mix with strawberries and a little juice or seltzer water for a nice non-alcoholic drink. Actually they often have non-alcoholic variations on the label.

  3. Yes she did get the 2 year extended warranty. It was still under it...that is why they were going to send someone out to fix it, but after all of the hassle and months of phone calls and unkept appointments, they finally got a brand new one yesterday. I do highly recommend the warranty though. Mom's main reason for problems is that she lived in a smaller town with no one who works on LCD TVs and the nearest ones were too far away. In the end she got a TV that retails for about $300-400 more than what she paid.
  4. Thanks, I will pick some up this week and include them in his gift.
  5. Mom just had to fight with WalMart to get a replacement. They got a Samsung and it started going out on them. It would take 10-20 minutes to "warm up" and turn on. They made countless service calls and Walmart would make the appointment, but they live in a smaller town and the nearest places for repairs would not come out to fix it. It took several months, but WalMart finally had a new one delivered -- a nicer model and so far they like it.
  6. Awesome! Does it use standard headphones?
  7. How loud is the Leapster? Does it have a headphone jack or at least a volume switch? I want to give it to DS as an early BDay present, but I don't want it to be loud and bothersome to other passengers. TIA :)
  8. That is what I was going to recommend. We bought he sponge bob bed like this for I think 35. DS got it when he turned 2. It uses the crib mattress. He turns 5 in 15 days and still uses it. The set that walmart has is a good deal for all of the stuff. Here is the bed by itself: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=2385840 $49.99 at Walmart.
  9. If you are cancelling cancel NOW!!! I tried to cancel an order and they told me you only have 2 HOURS to cancel after you place your order!
  10. Nope, but I have seen several in the Kmart clearance for as low as $8. I only got one of them as the others were for older kids (DS turns 5 this month), but they had several.
  11. All of those are expired...except the new prescription one. I have found that they are printing far more often on my receipt though. Also...if you go back to the pharmacy where they keep the pamphlets there is a checklist for diabetes (It looks like a list with boxes to check-mark beside it). On the bottom there is a $2 off $10 coupon.
  12. CVS has had physicians formula on sale several times in the past several months. I know they usually go B1G1 (buy one get one) half off when they do. I have also seen coupons in the paper. Try writing the company and asking for samples or coupons. Here is their contact form. http://www.physiciansformula.com/ContactUs.html
  13. I feel so lost this year. This is the first year ever that Thanksgiving will not be at my house. I am flying out to see the in laws so they are taking care of all the food... I am really going through withdrawals already (I love to cook!) I am even making a pumpkin pie this week to help me through it
  14. For those of you looking for Jones Soda -- my Kmart had it as well, but it was off in another section near the front, not with the markdown Halloween candy, but it was 50% off. i am sure they will be going 75 soon if not already.
  15. Well, if you are getting it online, then check Amazon. They had the cottage and all the other pieces when I was on earlier. They are a little off (maybe 5%) but they qualify for free shipping too.
  16. I am so glad that you guys were able to find some of the Jones Soda. :)
  17. They were "hiding" at both ones I went to...one had them buried under the bags of candy in buggies the other had them on the bottom shelf all the way back against the back of the shelf.
  18. I went to my local CVS and they had the candy 50% off. On my way up to checkout they said they JUST changed it to 75%. I bought a TON of candy, cookies, pretzle bags, 4 packs of jones soda (those rang up .39). I had a 4 off 20 and 2, 2 off 10 coupons plus $2 ECB so I got 62 bags of stuff for 29.83!! Since I found a lot of stuff my hubby likes and I send him weekly packages to Iraq, I headed to another CVS hoping to cherry pick the stuff he likes. Sure enought they had even more stuff and had just marked to 75%. I had another 4 off 20 and a 2 off 10 plus another coupon. I got 43 items for $20.46. I am gonna have some happy campers over in Iraq with all of the stuff I am sending! :) CVS #1 Spent -- 29.83 Saved -- 139.25 CVS #2 Spent -- 20.46 Saved -- 96.45
  19. Thanks for the info on the Lmax games. Heads up to all of you, they had a few different Leapster games in the clearance section at my Kmart for 10.00 (they were marked 12, but rang up 10). I only got one because the others were for higher grade levels. I am checking the other Kmart on Saturday, they usually don't have as much though.
  20. OMG I had a strange feeling it would be like the model clay. I am so sorry!
  21. Does the leapster play just leapster games or does it play leapster max too?
  22. Hurry it is in stock again! October20 still works...
  23. I think you would be better off waiting till you get home and either finding a good deal in store when you get back or going somewhere like buy.com online.
  24. So with shipping my total was $9.99 so that is basically 20 cents a battery. I have a bunch of toys that have just had the batteries die (mainly ones DS will be passing down to DD) and these will come in handy -- rechargables are too pricy for toys. Thanks Elena
