  1. JoAnn and M's won't let you use the coupon on the Cricut items. I have the original Cricut and I love it....I use it for so much more than scrapbooking--school, Girl Scouts, invitations, decorations, etc. I just hosted a Bridal Shower and I did almost everything with the Cricut, some cardstock and glue. The bride was thrilled, and we received a lot of compliments. Check the Cricut message board for the latest deals, as previously suggested. You might find a previously owned original Cricut from someone who has gone to the Expression...a friend found one on Craigslist for a good deal.
  2. THANKS! Winnie the Pooh mini wall calendar on it's way for DD's Christmas Stocking...no shipping, no sales tax and no chasing around looking for it! :)
  3. YMMV but our Barnes and Noble also has "gift items" in this sale, things like stationary, childern's gift sets, etc. I have no idea how long the sale lasts, but I plan to stop back and see if anything new has been added.
  4. Thanks! I picked up a couple of tops for DD and I....I may go back and check out hte baby stuff, I forgot to look while I was there.
  5. Back to School is (mostly) 30% in Tustin, CA. Backpacks are 50%, some items are full price. College items vary from full price to 50% off.
  6. Some of the College stuff is 50%--mostly the chairs and ottoman storage things.
  7. Rite Aid has all their summer/beach type stuff on sale for 25% off, so you might check there--they had different styles and colors when DD and I were in the store earlier today.
  8. DD and I were running errands this morning--Rite Aid has 25% off all their shade canopy items, so you might check there.
  9. We use EZ UP for our Girl Scout events. Easy to store, has wheels on the bottom of the storage bag for easy portability. We bought it at the sporting goods store (Big 5).
  10. The Sean Conway patio furniture (sling loveseat and chairs) along with the folding patio chairs were all 50% off yesterday. No picnic items were on sale.
  11. You can return at the store, they are really nice about it. DD likes some of the jewelry so I buy it on sale for future gifts. I like the sweaters and jackets, not so much the pants (I'm hard to fit in pants). I do have a couple of dresses from them that I like a lot.
  12. Thanks for posting! Found a windbreaker/jacket DD will agree to wear, less than $20! Some good jewelry items for gifts, too...
  13. Check out Macy's clearance section, there are some great deals at times.
  14. I picked up two nice books (Duck's Dance or something similar), padded covers, pull tabs for the preschoolers for next year. Cadbury eggs for DD, Lindt lambs for me. No show socks for DD, infant socks (service project for Girl Scouts). The plastic cutlery sets were full price, so I didn't buy any. They did have dish towels, finger tip towels, lots of hot wheels, baskets, small finger kites, peanut butter eggs....but not a lot of stuff. There were some kitchen chair cushions--tan/grey with a blueish cording that were part of the clearance if anyone needs them.
  15. Thanks! I was able to use the coupon on two orders, so even with the additional shipping I saved $21 ($15 + $6 on second order with shipping of $9). Helps keep the cost of the Girl Scout event down!
  16. I should have mentioned earlier--don't forget your local library. The price is right and the selection is endless....just picked up another book for DD. We can check out books for 3 weeks at a time with online renewal and online "hold" to request a book.
  17. Scholastic Warehouse Sales. They really don't care who you are, just goggle them and see if there is a sale near you. Get on the email list for future notices....and don't forget to do the online fastpass, it will save you time at the sale and you get a coupon, too. I wouldn't take the baby with you--it's an actual warehouse here, dusty and it can be cold.
  18. For 32 x 36 try your local western wear store. here it's Boot Barn. And they have them in stock and avaliable to try on.....makes it so much easier for DH. He's also found them occasionally (very occasionally) at Target. I think those were a mistake or a return, but you could try. I haven't ever bought his jeans at Nordstrom rack, but I have got good deals on dress pants for him there, so you might try it if there is one nearby.
  19. When we bought DD's Uggs we were told they run slightly big, and have found this to be true. The fur inside also compacts somewhat over time. DD loves hers!
  20. I picked up an entire USC outfit for DD--hoodie, pants and tshirt. She's worked very hard on her grades this semester...I'll give her the tshirt now, hoodie and pants for Bday.
  21. I got a Toby Steamer for $25 today....I am so happy with this! It was marked $50ish, so be sure to scan it if you are looking for one. I say the pink Dyson on mark down--I couldn't read the price (didn't have my reading glasses, too big to carry with the steamer to the scanner). Be on the look out if you are looking for this.
  22. DD is now 14, and Bitty Baby, Kirstin and Kit live in the doll cradle that was once mine. She LOVES those dolls. And played with them a lot, especially Baby and Kirstin. I do think the addition of Kit made the "family" a little big for her, but they did all get played with, they all have many outfits, etc. FYI--Bitty Baby was her Christmas gift from us at 18months. The only baby doll she ever played with, and that doll went everywhere with us. Still in excellent condition, and well worth the money. She's in the cradle with my baby doll, Kirstin and Kit.
  23. THANKS for the scooter info....I am looking for one here in Orange County, CA.
  24. Hmmm Love the scooter, but DD is 14 and 5'6"....do you think she could ride it? I am so going to look for one of those!
  25. Micheal's has them in bags, start buying now and using the 40% off coupons from the Sunday newspapers. If you sign up online they email you coupons as well.
