Now we're cooking! That's what I SHOULD be doing, anyway, after seeing all the swag Brad included with my iPad... Now taking orders!

It's here and I'm so happy! So much swag too... large shopping bag, mouse pad, coin pouches, card holders, calendars, post its, USB hubs, clips, and squishy bouncy balls! (I think that's everything - I had to hide the box before DS walked in.) The Firm has taken a break from the bamboo nog and is playing dodgeball. The iPad won't be opened until Christmas but thank you for everything. I'll have to post DS's reaction on Christmas Day. Now accepting cookie orders...

That looks very interesting... I didn't cook turkey but DH came home with a turkey breast later and it's now cooked and sitting in my fridge waiting to be eaten. Enchiladas are sounding good right about now...

(spits out coffee...) I won on the truffle comment?! Wow... I came home from work early because I wasn't feeling well. I think I'm feeling a lot better now This will be a perfect gift for DS. He really deserves it for working hard both in and out of school (and being uncomplaining as he's watched DD get all kinds of stuff for taekwondo). As I wrote in my reply, thank you not just for this but everything you do to make GD what it is. If I had to say thanks by baking cookies I'd be baking from now we'll into the new year! The "accountants" have broken into the bamboo nog again... they posted for me in another thread what was supposed to be here!

You may want to consider homemade cards from the kids and a donation to a charity or cause in their honor. I think we will be doing this as well as a combination of the above.

I ended up taking DD with me to a couple stores. When we got to Walmart (2nd attempt) it was still chaos so I told her to get in the cart. More than one person, including a police officer, commented along the lines of "now that's the smart way to travel."

My Walmart was the same chaotic mess but I was checked out in less than two minutes thanks to a very nice lady in cosmetics (and the fact I had two items, neither of which were electronics). This was about 7:30; I was there at 6 but couldn't even get a parking spot! Bless that lady this season....

Overnight shipping would get it there on Turkey Day

I am willing to give the shirt I won, size XL, to someone who ordered and hasn't received yet.

The paper I will be getting is publishing the BF edition early and it will be available Wednesday and Thursday.

Another sign I'm not feeling it (or I'm incredibly stupid, take your pick) - last night I told my boss I'd be willing to make myself available to work on Friday. Though to be fair I did have to deal with smoke from a mulch fire yesterday and the sinuses are out of control...

I have to admit I'm not feeling it this year either but with no logical explanation, I just don't. A suggestion might be to do something for someone else so that they have a happy holiday. I did this the other day when I got three tags off of an Angel Tree and it made me feel good.
