How many have sent out cards?

Aside from exchange gifts I've only bought one present. One. Just been busy working and running the exchanges, and now I think I'm sick...

And now an important announcement from Chief Elf: NO ELVES NEEDED THIS YEAR!!!! Thanks to those of you who volunteered to be an elf... it is with great pleasure that I tell you that your services will not be required. Everyone has mailed with the exception of three who have been delayed by weather but have been in touch and are expecting to mail by the end of the week. I better start typing those lists...

Just about everyone has been accounted for now... I am still waiting to hear from two people, one is in for both SS and OE the other for just SS. I'm going to type up the pairings lists today and will post them Christmas Eve or as soon as everyone has received if that should occur first.

I can re type the whole thing and/or put it all in a PM if you still need it.

Packergurl, if you got mine it's an ornament and I'm sure you'd like to have it on your tree...

Where did my thank you post go??? Guess I'll have to write it again later, probably put it in someone's mail, haha. Those who needed to be contacted have been contacted. The next 24 hours will tell whether elves are needed. Oh sure, now it shows up...

I had two packages waiting for me when I got home! Thank you to my OE person for for a very thoughtful package including a candy container for each of my kids, a pocket planner, Christmas trivia card game, stress relief hand cream from BBW and even a can of snow for the ShiShi clan! (The ornament is a light up snowman on an ice cube, pic to follow.) The other is from Reinholt1's mom, who I played SS to in addition to my SS. Hey, this is one heavy box... Oh YUM!! Three cheeses straight from Michigan State's dairy plant, summer sausage, crackers, MI cherry preserves, homemade raspberry liqueur and hot fudge dessert topping... and even Meijer plastic bags! Might be odd that I would get so excited about plastic bags but the whole family misses Meijer stores. Thank you so much both of you... I better eat while I can because when the rest of the family gets home there will be nothing left guaranteed!

As of now I have five people (who have been in touch) who are late but with valid reasons. Unfortunately there are three people I have not heard from. If I do not receive word by tomorrow night elves will need to be called into action, so elves please stand by...

Ok, there are a number of you that have not sent me tracking numbers. Some have been in touch regarding shipping issues and I appreciate the updates. I'm going to be busy today (DD is in a light parade tonight) but I'll be expecting to see a lot of PMs tonight! If you haven't been in touch with me and I don't hear from you by tonight then you can expect a PM from me. Don't make me have to bring out the naughty list... please...

Ooh, I actually have my shopping done! Now to pack things up... Good idea re: gift wrapping. I better start making notes for next year.

Roughly half have now mailed on both lists. Don't forget that Saturday is the deadline for mailing. I don't want to have to call in the elves...

In terms of actual Black Friday shopping I did even less than last year. DH, on the other hand and for once, bought me actual Christmas gifts including a brand new smart phone. I just felt it more important to work than to go shopping. Hours wise I can go either way... I agree it just isn't the same but to me I guess it doesn't matter - if the store is open I'll go check it out if I'm interested yet if stores are closed I'm OK with that too. I'm so confused... This will be the year that DD got BF initiated She asked to go to a store opening because she was hoping to see a stampede, haha... I just didn't find a whole lot that interested me this year. Next year if there's not much of interest I'm going to go to Walmart, take DD and just watch the stampede... That would make her happy I bet. To summarize: this BF has left me confused.

What's your budget for each? That will help to get you appropriate suggestions (and I assume you're talking about electronic gadgets). My DH just got one of those micro mini camera/camcorder things that cost about $200 and is having a lot of fun with it. I'd think that something similar would be just right for your nephew but is way out of your budget.

Nah, we decided now that something exploded (like the lid from last BF's Target crock pot) in it... I may have to post a pic if I can manage it, it's kinda funny.
