Happy Thanksgiving all! I've decided to extend the shipping deadline to Dec. 7th (Saturday). It would be unrealistic to expect BF weekend shoppers (which I think would be most of us, myself included) to find gifts and get them ready in such a short time span, especially if you're like me and have to work most of the weekend. Don't forget to let me know when you've sent and when you've received. Stay safe out there!

Went to Michaels first and it wasn't too busy until I was checked out. Chaotic as the WM I went to was, at least I was able to get parking right away. But then everyone got into the doorbusters almost 30 minutes before the official time (I knew that was going to happen) despite there being several police officers there. Still managed to get in and out in a very short amount of time... and in that time the outside was a zoo with zero parking available. Target, once again, was very orderly and problem free.

I won't be as long as I have my lists of people to shop for. Everything is going to be on the fly since I just found out I'll be working tomorrow, which could be an advantage.

Just found out that I have to work tomorrow so it may work to my advantage. Might get to some stores that I wasn't planning on. Still going on the fly.

I have no plan, it's just going to be on the fly. A handful of stores that I do want to go to are only five minutes of walking from my place so I'll go to those and save me the headache of finding parking.

We finally got our tree tonight... LOL.... the thing looks like it just rolled out of bed!

August and September can be back to school related cards, like Walmart and Best Buy or Meijer or something like that. February, of course, has Valentine's Day so anything could go. Stick a gas card in April (spring break).

If I can find a tree today it's going up today...

Business is picking up! Thanks to those who have sent me tracking #s so far. If you get your package and are planning to wait to open it please let me know (here in the thread is fine). The person who sent to you will appreciate it too.

I know how it works, should've specified the question was rhetorical or that I was using a tiny bit of sarcasm. Still, it's good info to have out there for those who are curious.

I agree it's not a true BF ad, but you have to give them credit for sending it over. Thanks for posting it.

Now why would they put the ads in the Sunday paper when they can make extra money on a weekday paper?

I have no idea if I'll be working on BF yet, but I know I do for the next five days straight so I should be getting ready and leaving now instead of being on here...

My earlier post said I thought it was funny (and I do), but I also agree that it is in very questionable taste for the times when it is airing because of the makeup of the audience. I can see and agree with those on both sides of this.

Finally... The Big Lots ad! I can plan fully now!

The Thanksgiving Day portion is floating around out there; I was not impressed. Hoping the Friday sale is a lot better.

Big Lots is floating around out there, at least the Thanksgiving Day portion is. I was not impressed so hopefully the Friday sale will be better. I'd also like to see Hobby Lobby.

I have done zero shopping. Was planning to start yesterday but decided my list is not fine tuned enough. Better get on it, though, before I start getting buried by obligations!

I'm going to guess that was a bit of sarcasm regarding the sprayers. On a serious note I know I am sensitive to scents at times and have gotten some bad headaches from too much perfume. It's not life threatening for me but for many it is. One thoughtless move could ruin things for a long time to come. That's also why you see dishes of coffee beans at the counters, so you can clear your senses. Works pretty good.
