  1. Is this the Shark Steam Mop? I got mine at Kohls with the 30% off. They also carried the replacement pads. I have tried it once (just got it) and I have to say that I wasn't thrilled. For the money I spent, it seems a little flimsy. And after I finished my kitchen floor, I still noticed spots. I'll give it another go tomorrow.
  2. I placed an order on July 10th, and got some really amazing deals plus picked up some of the fall line (regular priced stuff) but used the 15% bts coupon. Worked like a charm, received the package exactly 7 days later and loved everything. On the morning of the 17th I placed another order, as things were marked down even more, and I was able to use the coupon again. I got the order confirmation later that day, and my debit card was authorized. Today is the 29th, and I my order status hasn't changed. It still says, order processed, payment authorized. Anyone else having issues? I'm sure they were totally slammed with orders that week, but this is crazy!

Just wanted to let you know that you are not alone! I placed an order over a week ago and my status still shows Payment Authorized, Order Submitted.

Hopefully I will get the shipment before my daughter starts school on the 18th of August! ;)

  3. Shaped erasers, quarters, kid jewelry (the really inexpensive stuff), party necklaces (beaded, Target about $2 for 6).

I'd watch for choking with a 2 yr old and things small enought to fit in an egg. When our DD and my nephews where that small, I'd trade the eggs for "tickets" (ie cut up colored paper). At the end of the hunting they would trade the tickets for a prize. The prizes weren't expensive, but it was easier to buy one bigger item and not have to worry about the younger ones. Playground balls, play dough, crayons and coloring books, whatever I had picked up on sale. I still do the egg hunt this way (with the extended family they range in age from 4 to 14). They hunt mutiple times, bigger ones hide the eggs for the little ones, and everyone gets a prize at the end of the day. (money in carrot shaped bags from Micheal's). Makes it easy and it ends up costing less.

What a FANTASTIC idea! Thank you for sharing this! If I host Easter this year, I am SO going to do this!

  4. Another game that is a hit in our house is Mario Galaxy. The only negative for me is that it is a 2 person only game.

As for the PP regarding Wii usage, I have also put the Wii in our family room. It is in my line of sight at all times partly to make sure nothing gets scratched or damaged, but the other part is so that I monitor usage. For us, there is no Wii play during the school week. From Friday night to Sunday night, it is fair game. We tend to use it more in the evenings since we have things going on during the day.

    Good Luck!

  5. My WalMart hasn't switched their Clearance toys prices in like 3 weeks. Yesterday I found a box of Huggies baby wipes there with the baby wearing a Santa hat, and they still were regular priced. They have been sitting there for over a month, and no one will put it on clearance. I asked 2 WalMart associates and they told me that there was nothing they could do.

    Bummer.

  6. Wii Play: LOVE IT! The cowrace and shooting games are my faves. DS6 and DD4 love it, too.

Lego Star Wars Complete: Lots and lots of play here. I love it because DS and I play together.

Mario Party 8: By far, the family favorite.

DS's birthday is in Feb, and he is getting Mario Galaxy, Spiderman Friend or Foe, TMNT and Smarty Pants.

  7. this makes me laugh. we've coined a new word at our house

    Wiijury

DD16 is currently sporting an arm wrapped in an Ace bandage from her Wiijury. She was playing Pirates of the Caribbean and her poor arm was so tired after doing all that sword battling.

I'm returning the sports pack that I picked up for the remotes. Unless you have a huge area that you can play in, the possibility that one will smack the other is extremely high.

LOL! We call it an "OwWii" here!

DD4 and DS6 have run into the TV a few times while bowling and I almost sprained my wrist playing Mario Party 8 in a few of the mini games. We are having such a good time with it that the pain seems to go away quiickly! ;)

P.S. We have the Nerf Sports pack, and I think we have used it once, maybe twice. It is fun, but getting the Wiimotes in and out of the holder is a little hard for the kids, so they kind of lost interest.
