  1. type up a letter on the comp print it out and send it addressed to your children from Santa in the North pole. Hopefully they arent smart enough to notice the stamp from the local post office. In the letter say something like Dear Joshua and Logan My elves tell me that you have been snooping lately. Your Mom, Dad and I work very hard to make sure you and your brother get what you want for Christmas and we want it to be a big surprise. Sometimes I run out of room here at the North Pole and I have to drop stuff off early. Sometimes I even have to drop off the wrapping paper and bows because my elves are so busy. I promise I will bring you some great gifts but you have to promise me not to snoop in mom and dad's hiding places. You and your brother have been very very good this year. I am looking forward to seeing your faces on Christmas morning when you open all of the gifts your Mom Dad and I worked so hard to get for you. Thank you for taking the time to read my letter. I have to get back to work now. A lot to do and not much time. Be good, do well in school, and no more snooping. See you soon. Love Santa P.S.- My favorite cookies are chocolate chip with a big glass of milk. You can add your own personal touch. but that to me seems like a good idea to cover your tracks. You could also have someone call. That might be a little harder to pull off. i wish you the best of luck and I hope whatever you do works.
  2. This was an awesome contest last year. thanks for posting again!
  3. #1: My wife spent 2000.00 at TRU and all I got was this lowsy t-shirt. #2: Lingerie that'll shut 'er up! #3: Ooh vibrating chairs......now all I need is a cigarette!
  4. the E175 are just a bigger faster model. It's more for children 12 and up. where as the E100 and E150 are for kids 8 and up. That's the difference in the E1?? you can get on razor.com and look at all the specs. 109.00 is a good price for the E175. Sears will have the E100 on BF for 89.99 which is what I got my DD8 for. Hope that helps.
  5. Thanks I will look into this one. do you remember how much you paid for it?
  6. I am looking for more of a regular size one. Last year I bought a compact one and hated it! I don't even know how to compare. So far I am going to go with a memory card one for sure. This way i can load them on my comp and play them directly on the tv. plus I like the idea of not having it scratched and losing all the memories.
  7. My hubby saw the tool cabinets on sale.....and went bonkers........so much for shopper on BF by my lonesome!!! :) I already told him though if he slows me down he WILL get left. lol
  8. they do not do a ticket system. I know previous years Sears hasn't had too big of a line, but if your really needing them I would keep checking the store to see if anyone has lined up since it said they will only have 4 per store, and they vary by gas/electric.....so if your 4th in line you may not get the one you need and there are no rainchecks. did you also see the kenmore top load ones on page 41? They are not the energy star BUT they are 80.00 cheaper and the dryer is 1.2 cf larger. Plus they have ten of those and that sale goes on all weekend. Just a thought.
  9. that is an amazing story. I guess we, myself included should take a step back and not judge a book by its cover. I would never put my kids in danger for a deal, but I can see how someone who can't afford much and just wants to be able to buy some cheap clothes for their kid(s) would do this.
  10. Santa brings about 2-3 gifts and stocking stuffers. this is making this year transition into finding out who santa really is very easy......plus I don't want some fat guy in a suit getting all the credit for all of mine and dads hard work :) Big presents are usually put together/charged/set up prior to christmas morning unless it is something that doesnt have to be put together and such...then it just goes wrapped under the tree. I usually cover the large item or I put them in the back room and have her go check it out. ORRRRR like my hubby has done before is ride the bike in the room, or ride the power wheel down the hall etc. That always brightens the face. :)
  11. For a 3yo I would recommend the batcave. They younger ones relate better to the characters and IMO i think its easier for their little hands.
  12. We live in central illinois and at night it gets to around 10-20 degrees depending on what the weather chooses to do each year. Last year it wasn't bad...actually around 30-35. I have seen people waiting in line with infants.....one woman was shopping with her 5 day old baby!!!!! IDIOTS!!!!!!! I couldn't believe it, I mean my daughter is 8 this year and if she wanted to go I would let her, but I wouldn't come back home to get her until 9ish...after the crazy has calmed down and she has had a good nights rest and good breakfast. The hubby usually stays home with her though, as he hates the crowds and hates knowing how much I spent!! If you don't have a sitter at least keep them in the cart AND STAY WITH YOUR CART AT ALL TIMES!!!! I seen kids in carts but parents were in the pile up of people. those kids could have been gone in a second!
  13. True BF shopper wanted for Decatur and tuscola illinois. :)
  14. I think it could go either way. A lot of people will be broke, but then again those people will also be the ones looking for the best deals. With my husband and I being laid off this year we are definitely spending less, but I have been saving for quite some time. So even though we are spending less this year I will still be out black friday trying to get the best deals.
  15. They ARE doing this again and it WILL start the first saturday of November......(6th-7th/) whenever that saturday is. Not sure what will be listed, but some of their deals last year were better than their black friday deals. Keep a look out. You can sign up for emails but best effective way is to keep checking gottadeal.com for the posts and going to the website. I don't remember whether these were only in store deals or online as well. Something tells me they were in store only, but I could be wrong
  16. Really what I want is nothing. I hate when people spend money on me. The most special gifts I get are from my little girl. She always makes me the cutest things. Plus I give her 10.00 to the dollar store every year and she makes her list and gets one thing for everyone on her list. She always puts so much thought into the gifts, last year I got an adorable coin purse with kittens on it. She said I needed it because my change is always in the bottom of my purse and I can never find it. She is so cute!!
  17. I got a brand new one it may!!! Works great. You need to get you one. It's made by.... "I clean up after your butt, you can atleast do the dishes." You can buy it on sleepingalonetiltheyaredone.com LOL- Just got married in may, and my hubby and I have an agreement that since this is my most hated job and I do EVERYTHING else in the house except clean up the garage and clean out his car (which I have done on many occasions) he does the dishes. Although I am really not that bad about making him do them. I help dry :)
  18. Down to the penny. I just like to compare previous years and such.
  19. That is amazing. Please let us know how you work out the legistics. Would love to do this here.... maybe get our office to donate. Since things are so tight around here. Krystal
  20. I totally buy for myself. I really don't like people buying for me I would rather buy for everyone else. Plus I am super picky and it just makes things easier that when I see something I want I buy it. PLUS some things I see that I want DH waits until the last minute to do his shopping and it ends up being sold out i.e. Wii fit last year!!!! Althought he did come through and got me 2 sweaters, and sweat outfit, pink nike shoxs, some new perfume and not to forget he proposed the next day. Not too bad !
  21. http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=153267 Check this forum out. I am in search of one also, and I posted this to get some ideas. Hope this helps you.
  22. LOL my mom emailed me a pic of one tongiht and told me that is what she is getting our dogs for Christmas. We have two pitbulls and although I think they would look adorable in them. I am not thinking they dig them much. Although we do dress them up every halloween and they seem to tolerate it. :)
  23. My neice who is 14 but actually acts like a normal 14 year old rather that the ones that you typically see now that are on drugs and/or pregnant. I think at this age they like crafts and cooking, things they can use the creativity on. We are getting her a bath and body works basket. but I was thinking of doing a small gift basket with cake mix and some of the piping and decor stuff that she can use to decorate it with. I think it will be a fun project for her. and a cute and unusual idea
  24. I guess I would say I spend about 20.00 usually do candy socks undies, silly putty, matchbox cars, small puzzles. Just junk that will probably end up in that garbage or lost within a week. Hubby usually get small cologne bottles, pack of smokes, new lighters, lotto tickets etc. Doggies get the usual....treats and bones. :)
