I will miss walking the stores after the frenzy to see what was left behind that I wanted but didn’t need. Lol. I figure that if it’s still there then it was meant for me! I just miss the old Black Friday from years gone by and I am sure in a few years I will miss the Black Friday from just last year. It’s all just change...

Good to know. Makes me think the same about being done early. I’m normally done by Thanksgiving. BF is usually stuff I want. Lol

Since I Sam”s scan n go, this would be the only reason to consider this. I won’t be giving up my Amazon and not sure if the price is worth it since I pick up my groceries about 98% of the time now. Lol

I was at a Harbor Freight yesterday and asked them what they have heard about Black Friday. The manager, who I know through my company, said they have heard nothing which they said they normally know something by now. They also have not heard if they are bring back their tent sales this year.

I get more sad every time I drive through the mall now. I was speaking to someone of my same age and we reminisced about the Black Fridays of yesteryear! When getting up at 3a was the plan after going through the ads and marking what to get and where.

My first experience with BF was at Kmart on Thanksgiving Day. 1999. I bought 2 TVs for $99 apiece. Lol. Black box tube TVs. No one could believe the deal! Then (read in a bragging tone) I went back the next morning (Black Friday) and bought 2 boxes of white place settings with gold rims. Yep. I was hooked!!! Great memories !!!

Sams is already closed on Thanksgiving but I agree that more stores will do the same. They just can’t take the liability for their employees for the crowds. I feel like we will be seeing more sales earlier on -shades of last year. I bought great stuff in Sept and Oct that ended up not being on sale on Black Friday. Most of them have had to ramp up their websites and fulfillment to just stay open during these last couple of months. Shipping is going to be the problem I think !

I love Black Friday ! Change is ok. We complain about the change but what I’m hoping to happen with the whole 2020 mess is that we don’t open on Thanksgiving. Going to online has been ok since I really don’t have anyone to go out with anymore. My new normal is my alarm going off at all sorts of times for the sale beginnings. It’s all new but it’s all good!!

Purposely went about 7 just to get out and see what’s going on. I had already gotten the most important stuff online. Wanted the 40“ tv at Walmart but wasn’t expecting it. My sister and I are seasoned BF shoppers and low and behold someone had abandoned a 50” in the baby formula isle. Lol. Score! My niece bought neon strips for her room and my sister bought for her grand daughter. Crowd was minimal and no lines to check out. Sure was better than standing there forever! Target next but not much there .. DD saw friends and shopped with them for a bit. lol. Good night. Not much we needed this year so we got more than expected ! Oh totally forgot that I took a chance at the Home Depot artificial tree this year and got one. I am so happy. Fam is not. Lol. They love the real tree. Yeah I bet you do since it’s all magically out together the next time you see it after we buy it. Hahahahaha

Hummm. ... not what I was expecting but they are just coming off a big sale .... you just can’t wait anymore for the store ads. I have bought more in the last couple of weeks than I will off the Black Friday ads this year.

I bought one for my work white elephant. DD just decided that since she has more friends to buy for MOMs Black Friday stuff isn’t so crazy. Hahahahaha. I now have to get 6 more throws. Omg [emoji38]

With the obligatory throw purchase every year, I always bought one of those comforters also! My daughter and her friends love them when they have sleepovers, there is one on her bed and one on the guest bedroom bed, 2 in the linen closet.... lol

I will always love the concept of Black Friday. I also miss the way it was in the olden days when it seemed like it was a secret club that not everyone knew about. But I also now have my tradition of getting up at 1a on thanksgiving day to start my online. I am lucky to have a good case of FOMO so that keeps the trill alive [emoji119][emoji13][emoji322]

Online for all the important stuff but I love going to PetSmart Friday morning. My sister will be here so I am sure we will hit some spots Thursday night !

I had bought DD the AirPods a couple weeks ago due to the great sale price but just happened to check out the early add and saw I could get the Bose for the same price. What??? Lol. She steals mine all the time so I bought them and will take the AirPods back when I pick them up tomorrow !!! Total score

Better ad than last year.... this is one of my fav visits on Friday morning !
