  1. My Mom and my daughter just returned from there and got several of the $3 cosmetic bags. They are large and very nice. We will use them to fill with goodies I get Friday and give them to DD16 and DD14's friends for Christmas.
  2. Thanks Marcster. Really enjoyed these. I think the first one was my favorite.
  3. Well, I don't make $250 a day, neither does hubby, but we do okay. We have six kids, five of them at home and I have always been able to give them a nice Christmas thanks to BF. If I had the money to buy ALL of them what they want at regular prices, or even the extra $200 a few weeks later, I wouldn't be spending so much time on this site looking for the best deals. I think there are alot of judgemental people to condemn the way others choose to spend their own time. They aren't hurting anyone. Besides, Some may think people who choose to spend more money are crazy, people who go out at all are weird, or make any numbers of complaints. But either way, it's their choice and to each his/her own. I choose to spend Thanksgiving with my family and then go out. I have spent the night in WM before BF before, and if they have something I want badly enough I will do it again. After all, it's my money, my choice. And thankfully I have a husband who understands that I work, too, and if I choose to stand in line for what our kids want for Christmas he will not complain just as I don't complain because he doesn't go out at all on BF.
  4. Lines are growing fast, huh? It's good that WM is looking out for them.
  5. Thursday we have a 20 percent chance of rain and high in the upper 50's. Friday 30 percent chance of rain and high in the mid 50's. Low Thursday night should be in the upper 30's to lower 40's. Glad our WM is a 24 hr. store, lol.
  6. Our store has done things differently every year. Some years they have everything out around midnight and we can get what we want and then wait until 5 to check out. Other years they have kept everything wrapped until 5. We were told that they favor letting us get the items as we come in and then check out at 5, because there is such a crowd and many fights have broken out when they wait until there's 1,000 people in the store for say, 15 of something. It has never stopped me from getting everything on my list there, but I prefer not waiting until everyone's there to unwrap pallets. My Mom got hit in the head one year for a portable dvd player, and my DD16 got bit one year trying to get the Gameboys.
  7. Wow, Big Jim. It's pretty early, but I guess it gets earlier every year. Even though some may not find items in the ads this year that they wouldn't stand in line for, it just depends on what you are looking for. The earliest I have ever gone out is 6pm on Thanksgiving Day(after dinner because I don't want to miss that time with my family). But, I'm sure there are people who may not get together on the holidays and for them, if they want to stand outside for days, that's their decision to make. I think we will go out around midnight Thursday night this year, it varies from year to year. I wish them luck and hope they are not in my area wanting the same things I am wanting, lol. I would love to see an interview as well to know exactly what they are standing in line for, probably pretty amusing, lol.
  8. I am going to try to pick up two of these for my DDs 16 &14. They take alot of pics and I think these will be just fine for them.
  9. I think our store usually gets several of these. I bought the BF trampoline at WM a few years ago and they had plenty. They also brought me a pallet cart from the back of the store to put it on and helped me load it. Good luck.
  10. Gottadeal Idol First round eliminations will be based on deal hunters from all over the country. Then the top 50 deal hunters will compete and be eliminated in a weekly show. Each week contestants will be required to find the best deals out there(either online or B&M) on their own with no help. The finale would be held on BF, with a list being given to the final two by Brad. The winner would be the one who gets the most on the lists and saves the most money.
  11. Thanks, moonlitrose, I had the mag sitting here beside my computer and hadn't looked at it yet. I got that coupon out as well.
  12. I have a couple of gift cards and alot of coupons so I hope to get some good deals there on BF. I usually do pretty good there. Our store has great employees and as long as you ring your items up seperately they will let us use as many coupons as we want.
  13. Well, my list is somewhat like this...so far, lol... $2 DVDs XBOX 360 bundle 2 Phillips mp3 players 2 Samsung digi cams hoodies jeans coats(these are great for the kids to use for playing) 500 thread count sheets portable dvd player assorted video games pm dvds and video games from other stores I am adding that I went to WM tonight and they have all of the BF clothing arranged together in the front of the store. It is still at regular prices, but at least I won't have to go all over the store to find it, lol. The coats are nice and so are the fleece lined jackets. I am getting all of the kids jackets, coats, hoodies, jeans, and track suits.
  14. I always get a map from an associate on Thanksgiving night. Our store never puts things where they are supposed to, lol, they just stick them where ever they feel like. But, they are always really nice about giving us a map if we ask.
  15. A few years ago I bought the trampoline on the blitz and a few other larger items, the associates at our store were very helpful and brought me one of those flat bed pallet carts. It helped and wasn't so bad to move around the store. One year they would take your larger purchases to the front of the store for you. I'm sure you will just have to ask and see. Good luck.
  16. Not sure, but I have never run into that problem at our store unless it is stated in the ad that there is a limit.
  17. WalMart, JCPenney(for the snowglobe), Bath&Body Works, Radio Shack, and Hasting's. Then go and eat, go home, wrap gifts, CRASH until I wake up. After that, I will probably sit around and watch Christmas movies and look at the lights on my tree(that's been up for two weeks now, and eat leftovers.
  18. Thanks Brad, it has been so hard to not discuss this ad on here, but I was trying to be good, lol. Now that it's out I can finally say that I am super impressed with WalMart this year and they are doing a great job of making up for "crappy" sales last year. After comparing the ads I can honestly say that I will still be hitting WalMart first. I wonder how early I will have to get there for the XBOX360?!?!?!
  19. DD 14's birthday is Dec. 24th. We have always had her birthday party early afternoon on Christmas Eve with a birthday cake and wrap her gifts in birthday paper to keep it seperate from Christmas. I always felt like it wouldn't be fair to her since the other kids get birthdays through the year and she has to share her's with Christmas. Then she gets seperate gifts for Christmas. Btw, being in labor on Christmas Eve was no picnic, lol. Neither was being in the hospital on Christmas Day. They brought her into my room wearing a cany cane-striped cap and she was in a big Christmas stocking. It was so cute, but it sucked being away from home on the holidays. I always tell her she was the best Christmas present I have ever gotten, lol. Hubby's birthday is Dec. 26th and he gets a birthday party, too. I am usually pooped by the time New Year's comes around.
  20. I agree, it just depends on what you are looking for. I just don't need too many "big" items this year. I will pick up a tv if I find one I am relly interested in and at a great price, but I don't have to have one right now. I think I will be just as happy going out for "small items" mainly because it's the thrill and the time spent with my Mom and the kids that I really look forward to. If I can find some great deals on some things I want, that's even better. But, even though the ads aren't what I thought they would be, I am still excited just because it's BF and Christmas is on the way!
  21. Thanks guys! I really like this ad. Maybe it's just me, but I get just as excited over great dvd deals as the big items, lol. Lots of teens and tweens in my house who love movies! This one is making me happy!
  22. I like the trivia ideas and the scavenger hunt. Maybe...submit pictures of members advertising for Gottadeal.
  23. Me, my Mom, ds 20, dd 16, and dd 14. Sometimes my aunt goes but usually it's just us going together and my aunt hits other stores, then we meet up afterwards.
  24. Not sure if it's right or wrong, I just don't go to stores that use the "ticket system". It might bother me if I did, but then again, I have been BF shopping long enough to know that you have to be willing to get there earlier than others. It does however, irritate me to see people selling "limited" items on eBay.
