  1. I love these bags, but I am supposed to be shopping for the kids. I wish the one in the OP was available, I would definitely get it!
  2. We got two of them and they let us get them at midnight at our store since the ad said all day Friday.
  3. We had an awesome night/morning. Got to WalMart about 7pm Thursday and found out that lines were starting to form for the "big ticket" items. Some friends who were with me were first in line and got what they wanted. Employees started bringing pallets out early and let everyone go ahead and get items and then get in the checkout lines. I had my carts full and was in line by 3am. Easy and fun. The crowd was bigger this year at our store. A few of the items were not brought out by 5 but it was no big deal. Left WalMart and went to JCPenney. We got our snowglobes and went to Belk. They were already out of the gift cards so we went on to Bath & Body Works. I got my DD17's robe and someother items, got the VIP bag, and was able to stack some coupons I had. Went to breakfast with our group then came home and slept all day. Another great BF! Can't wait for next year!!!
  4. Another year, another great BF thanks to GottaDeal!!!
  5. WalMart, Atwoods, and Tractor Supply ads were in today's paper here. But, I will have to get out really early and get the Dallas paper in the morning to get the rest of them.
  6. Dang...people are serious about the Best Buy ad!lol
  7. Our store did not have anything up about the gift cards but I bought the Guitar Hero 5 and it automatically rang up the gift card. When the cashier checked it, it had put $40 on there.
  8. I am so happy about this, lol. Our forecast is usually the same as the D/FW area. I was really hoping it would not be too warm for BF, it just wouldn't feel right!
  9. I'm not sure where you are, I am only familiar with our local store. I do think that, depending on your area, 3am may be a little late for electronics that you will have to line up for. It would probably be better to ask at your store and see if anyone can give you any good advice on this matter. Have fun!!!
  10. The DS will be on a pallet as far as I can tell.
  11. After reading some of these posts I have to wonder...where are all of you shopping? Most of the people I visit with at our store are friendly and help one another if we are in line together for a long time. They usually don't ask why you need to leave the line, just ask if you are going to be gone long, if not, go ahead and go. After all, it IS the holiday season, isn't it???
  12. I agree, it is hardest during the holidays. I lost my Dad May of '08 and my step-sister Sept. '08. I do think about them often, but the holidays are when I think of them the most. What helps me the most is that I know how much they both loved this time of year and I just try and enjoy it for them, too.
  13. In the past we have always just taken enough people for someone to hold the person's place in line while they go smoke, use the restroom, or whatever else they need to do. As long as you have someone to hold your place, you should be fine.
  14. I would say that there is a pretty good chance that next year will be a repeat of this year, last year.....well, you get the picture, lol!
  15. I think it just depends on where you are located. We are in a relatively small town and I just called our WM to ask and they said they will pm any competitor's ad, as long as it is the exact same thing, for up to 100 miles. Also confirmed while I had them on the phone that they will be pm'ing for that distance on BF also. The reason for this may be that our nearest "big city" is Dallas, lol. Sherman is 75 miles away and they have the same stores that Dallas does, so we are lucky there, lol.
  16. Thanks Brad. I really like the ad this year for what I am looking for.
  17. OT, hi neighbor. Where will you be shopping? Bonham or Paris?
  18. Cash only. Have tried the debit card in the past and if the machines mess up or go slow, it's terrible. Less headache and I keep it in my pocket.
  19. Actually on Thursday evening after dinner. Sometimes I end up staying and sometimes I get to go home and catch a nap. Either way, I have most of my recon work done at this point and it's just last minute info that I need now.
  20. I do get JCPenney's snowglobe every year. I remember the Sears' GC, our Belk gave out GC's last year and everyone in our family got one, B&BW totes, and around here our Big Lots' gave a "freebie" on Thanksgiving and BF. The Big Lots freebie was usually something like a small stereo and I think one year it was a VCR, man that was a few years ago, though, lol.
