Yeah, the Garden Ridge sale was awesome! We don't have one here, but mom and I saw it on tv and called my aunt in San Antonio so that she could pick us up some stuff!LOL We went to the nearest town with some really good stores that day and got some great stuff. I'm not sure if there will be any more really big sales before Christmas. I don't think there has to be now, people will have to do last minute shopping if they are not done already and it doesn't matter at this point if it's on sale or not. JMHO

You aare a very thoughtful husband! Congrats to you for being a good guy! I think she will love the fact that you cared so much, I agree with the previous posts. CVS, WalMart, and Walgreen's. There could be some coupons to go along with the sales that the store already has! If so, that's great! Good luck!

I love their semi-annual sales!LOL That's when I really stock up. I save all of my coupons and use them then. Our local manager is wonderful, she will also let us use them if they are expired!

I'm not Catholic but I have always loved going to midnight mass. When I was in high school, my best friend was Catholic and I always went with her.

At our WM the layaway dept. was a disaster today!LOL Alot of people were really mad because some of their items were missing. That's why I am scared to do layaway for BF.

Actually I never believed in Santa, but I have always loved Christmas.

I think our WM will have alot left after Christmas because they are still fully stocked in the Christmas decoration department. I hope they stay that way because that's when I buy all of next year's decorations!LOL I will also be going to the nearest Target after the holidays because I was over there yesterday and they have alot of stuff too and some really cute stuff for next year.

Me too!LOL I am stashing all of my freebies and waiting til Christmas to see what I have that I can use for stocking stuffers. So far, I have quite a collection!LOL

Same here!LOL We got alot of stuff last year at WM for .25 or .10! I love it and especially when I am looking in another part of the store and see something someone put back on the shelf, scan it, and WOOHOO...25 cents!LOL

I use plain brown shipping paper, .99 cents a roll, and I got some red and white striped paper at Hobby Lobby to add a little color. I love Hobby Lobbys paper. It is easy to cut, thick enough not to tear too easy, and lasts a long time!LOL

I go the day after and keep going on a regular basis to make sure I get some good things at great prices. The stores around here are pretty crowded but mostly returns and things like that. I have always gotten alot of things really cheap without too much of a crowd.

I like to give my two younger boys, 7 and 9, gift cards, video games, and small games they can carry with them.

We don't go anywhere out of town. We stay at home and my family comes here. Then after they leave, we go to MIL's house for a little while but that's just across town. No way would I want to load up five kids, dogs, and gifts and go anywhere. Talk about a BAD holiday. We don't do trips very well anyway!LOL

I love buying purses at Belk when they are on sale because I am a purse nut!LOL I love Nine West purses and Strada. I got a Nine West that I have been eyeing since they put it out. It was reg. $79.00 and no way could I afford that for a purse. But Saturday I got it for $19.99!!!!! Saved $60 on it alone!

I would probably go to WM and get the gift sets, and then check out the paper on Sunday. I get alot of coupons for cosmetics and use them at Walgreen's because they usually put things on sale when there is a coupon in the paper. Basically a combination of what others have said. LOL

Yeah, they are running specials just about every weekend right now! When they have sales, you can't beat them!LOL

Hubby and I took the kids and MIL on the annual tour of Christmas lights last night! I actually thought of this thread!LMAO Some of the houses were so lit up! But what made me think of it was when we were getting in the van, hubby told one of the kids to turn off the porch light and the light in the carport, LOL, they weren't on, the Christmas lights were so bright they looked like they were! I am still trying to get a good enough pic to post but, it's hard to do because I have to go across the street to get a shot of the whole yard and every time I get a good shot, several cars go speeding by and ruin it!LOL Anyway, the best thing we saw last night was a "living nativity" at one of the local churches. It was beautiful. The kids said they got goose bumps because it looked so real.

The kids have run down several sets of batteries listening to them.LOL But the new one playing the piano is cute, too. I also get the "Hug-a-Bears" at Valentine's! I'm a sucker for anything that Hallmark has that I can get "cheap"!LOL

Usually the prices are outrageous! But I go in there regularly to check out the clearance racks!LOL With five kids, I can't afford to pay full price for Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, Liz Claiborne, Nine West, etc... But when they have a sale, they really have a sale! I always buy the kids' clothes there when they put them on clearance and most of the time they are cheaper than what I would spend at WM if I get them like I did yesterday! They also have alot of great in-store coupons!!!

I actually finished all of mine yesterday! That's really good for me because I usually still have to go to WM the day before for something!LOL

Just have to brag a little!LOL I picked mom up yesterday morning and went to Belk just to check it out and see what the "Big Sale" was all about! They were having a special for a certain amount of time yesterday and I am so glad I did! I got $756.83 worth of stuff for $218.76!!!!!!! I got the girls some Tommy Hilfiger purses reg. $28.00, for $2.99! I also got the boys' Chaps shirts for $3.00! Got hubby and oldest son Polo and Chaps shirts for $6.00!!! Also got pj sets for the girls for $9.99!!! I was so excited! I just had to brag! I spent most of the afternoon wrapping presents! I also got a few other things, like a l.e.i. watch for oldest daughter for $5.00! Most of the stuff was already 50% off and then an additional 50%-75% off of that! Anyway, great sale!
