  1. http://www1.us.dell.com/content/products/compare.aspx/inspn?c=us&cs=6099&l=en&s=eep I always buy Dell.
  2. I was asking about this a few weeks ago... http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?p=90886#post90886 and yea, I think it's overly priced too.
  3. I do, but why do people look at you so funny when you put 7 dvd players in your buggy? This year (so far) I'm picking up another dvd player and the HP laptop. Actually, the guy that wants the laptop lives 20 miles from me, and he's going to HIS walmart, and I'm going to mine, and whoever gets it first will call the other (just in case they sell out too quickly at the other store). I'm sure that list will build as more ads come out.
  4. Oh, no, I didn't mean it was a BAD thing, just meant that it would be plausible for them to sell the durabrand at a much lower price than anything else. Yeppers, we have durabrand items in our house too! Can't complain with the quality/price on them.
  5. We always hit walmart first, but my local store lets everyone in and puts police tape up across the registers, blocking entrance beyond that point. That way EVERYONE gets in (crowded, but in) so there really is no 'first'. More of a huge mass of flesh just waiting to explode all in the same direction.
  6. OH! One of THOSE magic bullets. I thought you were talking about those mini.......uhh.... Yeah, like one of these: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=16002
  7. Oh, definately done by noon. WalMart, Kohls, and Staples first (in that order) because they are all in the same parking lot. Then it's a 10 mile drive to the mall just to see what's left (last year we didn't get there until 11am and they still had door-buster items). We don't go to the two most popular malls here, we go to the smaller one which has alot of the big name stores, just not as many smaller ones. Of course your bigger stores are the ones that have the good sales anyway, so it isn't nearly as crowded as the other malls.
  8. I think it's an awesome idea! Although it's free, you would still have those idiots that complain that it's too hot, too cold, too strong, whatever.
  9. Probably 'DuraBrand' (sold exclusively at Wal*Mart) LoL
  10. Last year our walmart had enough of MOST items, the spiderman/doc oc toy figures sold out in less than 5 minutes though (I got one!) But the year before last....it was ugly! 500 DVD players on a pallet...you should have seen it. I've never seen an entire pallet dissapear so fast. Literally under 5 minutes and they were sold out. The line to the electronics dept. was OUT THE DOOR for people waiting on the game boys. The manager went through and told everyone in line that they only have 75 in stock at the BF sales price, but they refused to leave the line. After the 1st 20 or so people, they were out and people were cursing and the cops had to be called in. (some people are so dumb). No, I wouldn't even bother going if I wasn't in line BEFORE the doors opened.
  11. Thanks for the links! Macy's does have the best deal that I can find right now, but it's only $5 less than Wal*Mart's every day price; So I may just wait until BF and see if it's any cheaper. If not, I'll just spend the extra five bucks there. Unless of course someone runs into a real bargain in the meantime!
  12. I need a couple large sets...where to go, where to go? and of course...never full price!
  13. NEVER. My wife stays with the buggy (you can't get those things through crowds) while I storm the masses ducking, dodging, and squeezing into tight holes to get to my most coveted items (ooooh, a DVD player for twenty bucks! I already have two, and don't know anyone that needs one, but I better get it at this price). I toss it in the buggy and move on. 364 days out of the year, we hold hands and take our time shopping. ONE day out of the year, she just has to fight the hoards to try and keep up with me best she can. It's fun.
  14. I'll pay a little more for a discounted item before I go for the rebated items. If the difference is worth it, I'll go ahead and get the rebated one.
  15. I shop online every year. Mostly Ebay and Amazon. Once in a while I'll catch a deal elsewhere (I like newegg alot!)
  16. Won't do the boycott thing. There are rules, stipulations, and practices in EVERY company that I'm not always going to agree with, but if the price is right I'm going to be there!
  17. If the price is right, and it's something I want, ABSOLUTELY! I did it last year, and turned to my wife and said 'Thank you for my present'. She wouldn't count that as her gift to me though....oh well.
  18. My initial 'guess' would be that because of the current economic situation (and what I believe will be the short-term future situation), sales may be a little sluggish leading up to BF, which would cause stores to offer even DEEPER discounts to lure us in. just my 2cents.
  19. Has anyone seen the FLY PEN? I'd like to see one in action. Supposedly, you can draw a calculator, and then USE it. Or write a math problem, and the pen will solve it. Write words, and it will read it. Not sure what all it will do, but you can buy extra 'memory' packs for the pen.
  20. We hit Wal*Mart, Kohl's, and Staples last year since they are right next to each other, then drove to a small mall that isn't usually very busy. We didn't get there until almost 11am, but they STILL had all the doorbuster sales that the LARGE mall ran out of within half an hour! I believe we'll be going back this year.
