I clean out my gift closet every year before Christmas, I donate everything left in there to the Salvation Army's Forest of Trees. Then in January I start filling it up again!

I just have to ask, were you intending on buying something at that store? Why did you camp out there if you weren't going to buy anything from there?

what about those cars that you rent for a day, they're all over chicago, they're not like regular car rental places, they're parked all over the city? I can't remember what they're called...

I do a casserole that you get it all together the night before and let it sit in the frig overnight and then you just put it in the oven when you get up. It has bread on the bottom and then hash browns & sausauge and you pour eggs over the top and they soak into the bread overnight. Yummy!

I use my reusable bags all the time everywhere EXCEPT Target and Menards, they are the only stores around here with nice decent plastic bags that you can re-use for trash cans for the small cans in the bathroom. The other stores bags are thin and flimsy or too small. Grocery store I always get paper bags so I can use them to put recyclables in.

I didn't realized that you camped out for 3 days, I just thought you went out there Thanksgiving morning.

I don't think they go on sale or that you can use any coupons or discounts on them, but I'm pretty sure they have them out on BF.

I saw a couple things on clearance already last weekend, but it was only a couple. Was it all of the halloween stuff or just a few things?

You get an extra % off the day that you open your account, not sure if it's 10% or 15%. You can also go in a couple weeks ahead of time and give them your email address and they will email you a $5 off coupon, but you can only do that once per email address.

I agree that it's not about the $$. I have 2 kids very close in age and 1 much older and have never kept track of how much I spent as long as the 2 younger ones get about the same amount of stuff, and the older one does get less amount of stuff but his gifts cost more. Yes it's OK to spend less on them after they move out, he's an adult now. And how would he know unless you told him?
