I wouldn't have called Target I would have just went in there and tried to do it, seem to have better luck. Say your son got it for Christmas and have someone else exchange it if they won't let you, or try another Target. But don't call them first, just show up. And I thought that around Christmas time stores extended their return / exchange policies a little longer? And start saving all your Walmart & Target receipts in an envelope.

I went to 4 stores on Thursday and they were all 50% off, Friday I go to one that I decided not to stop at on Thursday and they were 75% with almost nothing left!? One store did have a 75% tag hanging on an item that I guess was only supposed to be 50% off and they did give it to me for 75% off. Seems to me that I remember they hung those same signs last year that say "selected items 75% off" and that was the excuse they used every time something only rang up 50% off.

Went to Machesney Park this morning and they were still at 70%. Found a bunch of Hello Kitty Christmas t-shirts in the girls section on a rack with other Hello Kitty clothes and they weren't marked on clearance but scanned 70% off for $2.xx.

Most things were still 50% off; Christmas treats, cookies, candies... were 75% off here today. There were a few odds and ends 75% off but most stuff was still at 50%. I did find some cookies and truffles at one store

I hate when you don't realize until you get to the register that you can't use your coupon! I thought the scarf I was getting was over $10 and I needed the scarf for the next day and didn't feel like looking around the store anymore and getting back in line, so I had to go back there another day to use my coupon...

did you buy something else with it because JC Penney will not let you use that coupon if your total isn't $25 or over here? had one for $10 off any purchase $10 or over and I didn't realize what I bought was on sale for $9.99 so I couldn't use my coupon with it.

Found Scotch Giftwrap Tape 3/4" 500" + 50 bonus inches for $0.60 and Betty Crocker Snickerdoodle Cookie Mix 17.9 oz for $0.51 each, neither were with the Christmas stuff they were just thrown somewhere so I scanned them. They had a bunch of the Snickerdoodle cookie mixes left in the regular cookie aisle even after I bought 10 packs, I scanned a few other ones (sugar cookie) and they were all regular price.

Now it's $3.65, lol... tomorrow it will be ???

Just seems like in this day and age that stores should be able to scan a barcode and order an item for you or tell you when they are getting it in. I can look up an item online at my house and see if it's in stock at a store before I leave my house, the store can tell me if it's in stock at another store, just seems like some stores are lacking when it comes to ordering items for you. And more stores should offer free shipping to store, not enough stores have that option!

I'm talking about when it is in stock online but not in the store, they don't order it for you, and they can't check if they are getting it on the next truck or when or if they are getting it. They tell you that you can call them after their next truck comes and they can check if it came in, seems like they should be able to tell you if something is on it's way to their store and when and order items that are out of stock for you, but they don't.

Why can't you give her a gift card? TRU was out of a toy we were looking for yesterday and it's out of stock online so I couldn't order it and they couldn't tell me when it will come back in. I don't get that this day and age stores like TRU and Target can't order items they are out of or tell you if something is on the next truck coming in or when it will be coming in!?

I always want to know if these are as good as they say they are, has anyone ever tried them?

People go into Walmart here right when they open the day after Christmas and fill 2 shopping carts overfull with cologne and bath sets, if you walk in 10 minutes after the store opens you see several people pushing and pulling 2 carts full of the stuff to the registers. If you get there after them your choices are limited because they have cleared the shelves of many things. Walgreens used to do everything at 50% off the day after Christmas, but now they do a few and then in a week or so they do a few more and they may do a few more after that... So you have to keep going in there and checking every couple days if you are wanting a certain set to go down, and they go pretty fast once they drop the prices.
