  1. Believe it or not, my oldest decided he no longer wants the Wii. I was surprised, but greatly relieved since I don't have one. Now he wants a bowling ball and speakers for his computer. MUCH easier on me!!
  2. We already have these, but this is a great gift idea. The show is hilarious!
  3. My only thought is that if you tend to over buy gifts, then don't buy it now. Wait until next year and if she truly wants it then, buy it. How much is it normally? Is it that large of a savings? I stopped buying Christmas gifts for the kids way ahead of time b/c I would find other things I wanted to buy them and ended up with too much. Now I start buying their gifts on BF so I know it doesn't get out of hand. My littlest is getting three things from us and they're small things - we just don't do big Christmases.
  4. Sorry to hear about that! He should know better than to do something like that this time of year! I brought home a PS3 thinking I would give it to my oldest, but dh had other plans, so he got his Christmas gift early, so no need to worry about him messing it up. I was really surprised he got so excited over a game system. :)
  5. My mom went to Target for me today and they only had THREE systems. She also went to Circuit City (who had them in their ad!) to be told they did not get any in. That doesn't seem right! The line at TRU snaked around the building and people were leaving, so she didn't stay. I guess we'll try WM later in the week. Geez, the things we do for our kids!
  6. I heard it HERE. Our Target opens at 8am tomorrow, and my mom is going for me. If we don't get it tomorrow we'll try again at WM on Wednesday. I'm hoping they'll go for sale at midnight since I'm unable to be there at 8am.
  7. I think you're worrying about it way too much! It's a personal opinion, of course, but I would not encourage Christmas gifts to boyfriends/girlfriends at this age. I think kids are too often encouraged to have "relationships" too early in life.
  8. How about the wine opener and saver sets they have at Kohls? We bought those as gifts last year and the recipients loved them - we bought one for us too! Our families stopped doing the name exchange last year and we're thankful. None of us need anything, and why stress everyone out? We have a big party and we all get together and eat, have a few drinks, and play games. Spending time with everyone catching up is so much more important than gifts. Santa comes to our party each year and the kids get a gift from him, but that's it.
  9. How about the gift of time? Do you live close? If so, you could give him a coupon book for lunch or dinner every so often. I have found that when it comes to my parents and ils, consumable gifts and gifts of time together are most appreciated.
  10. Guess I'm out of luck then. I'm having surgery December 6th. Ugh!
  11. You know, funny thing is I didn't even ask for an order total. How bad is that? I hope I'm not unpleasantly surprised!
  12. I just called again and was able to order. She said she just needed to use a different code. Thankfully someone answered in less than 2 minutes. I did salvage my bag from the trash to mail in if I needed too though. Thanks again! :)
  13. I just tried to call and order and they said NO! I told her I knew someone who had ordered earlier over the phone and she said the order will most likely not go through. How frustrating! She said it's mail-in only. Please let me know if anybody else has luck over the phone.
  14. I just went to Wendy's today and requested the I Spy cd. I didn't even notice the bag - I ate the meal myself just to get the cd for Boo. Earlier in the day I had been at TRU and bought an I Spy cd. It is definitely going back now - thanks for sharing!!
  15. Not a thing. I ended up not leaving the house today. This is the first year in as long as I can remember that I didn't go shopping. I did do some online shopping, but that's it. I have really enjoyed my day at home.
  16. One of my stepsons is skinny and growing and needs new pants! He needs a 28x32, but I am having trouble finding them. I can find 29x32, but not 28, and he's lucky to be in a 28, so a 29 would really be too big. Anybody have someone wearing this size that can point me in the right direction? I'm beginning to think we'll just have to have them altered.
  17. Wish I could think of a question! Honestly, I'm feeling very overwhelmed with BF. This is the first year I've been employed FT in years and it has put me WAAAAAAY behind in my planning. I may have to call for some tips on how to get ready!!
  18. I bought my oldest (he was 17 last Christmas) a PSP at Christmas last year and he never uses it. He asked for it, but just hasn't found it to be all that great. Now my 13 yo step son is asking for one, so he will probably get my oldest's as it's been used only 5-10 times at the most. My youngest has a GBA and he will be getting DS Lite for Christmas. He is six and PSP is just too much for him.
  19. Yep, it's there, but I can't stand bundles!! I understand why they do it, but wish they wouldn't.
  20. I have checked the Pokemon site but they don't have them. It's driving me crazy!! If they are going for so much on eBay and they're still coming out with new Pokemon games, why can't they still produce accessories too????
  21. If you do list them, will you please let me know?
