My situation exactly. We have been on a mission the past several years to find FIL the foods of his childhood in Sheboygan, WI. Particularly bratwurst and summer sausage. We've had summer sausage from Usingers shipped, and bratwurst from The Sheboygan Bratwurst Company but neither lived up to his memories. Every year at Thanksgiving I ask him to remind me of the name of the butcher shop he remembers in Sheboygan and do a search to see if they take online, phone, or mail orders. So far it has never given me a hit. It may even be out of business, but when we see him for Thanksgiving I'll ask for the name again and give it another try. If I can't find it again, we'll try another brand of brats and summer sausage. They may not be exactly what he's looking for, but he does enjoy trying the different brands each year. I have to admit MIL usually only gets a card from us. She knows until Paul (dh) finishes school how much we struggle, and would turn around and give any gift we give her right back to us.

My son has a nice furry red and white one with a white thread embroidery of Santa on the red stocking part and his name embroidered in white thread on the white top part. It looks really nice, especially since it's 12 years old. I found it in a special holiday kiosk at the Sawgrass Mills Mall all those years ago. Keep your eyes open, you may see one you like anywhere.

tati, can you buy on ebay and have one shipped to you in Brazil? I'm thinking the stock may be gone by the time you get here around Thanksgiving. ebay has a pretty good listing of advent calendars. But, I have no idea what shipping to Brazil would do to the price.

Nice mjmcca! I didn't even try to have the Halloween stuff adjusted, as I figure it most likely will go 75% off tomorrow. However, the Dollar Spot was ringing up 75% off today on the line of old merchandise and I stocked up on the non-alkaline heavy duty Eveready batteries. 2-packs of Cs, D's, and 9 volts, and 4-packs of AAs and AAA's were 25 cents each. -

Oh, I had what I hope is good news on another forum today. The Target team member who said seasonal clearance was not going to follow the holiday/seasonal clearance schedule posted in the Newibe Guide above qualified his statement today. He said about 30% of teh Targets will be testing the new method of clearancing the merchandise based on sales, but that the other stores should stick to the schedule posted above. So... The schedule says: Traditional Holiday clearance schedule 50% off day after holiday for three days 75% off fourth day after holiday for three days 90% off seventh day after holiday for 1-2 days. Other than Chr-stmas this is the schedule used for holiday clearance, including Valentine's Day, Easter, Summerville, and Halloween, for at least the last two years So for the Halloween merchandise that would translate to: November 1 - 3 = 50% off November 4 - 6 = 75% off November 7 (and maybe the 8th) = 90% off :::sincerely hoping my Target is not one of the test Targets::: -

Also, always check out the Fat Wallet Target Clearance UPC list befroe heading out to Target. Some of the itemns actually have the UPC code that scans listed next to the item. With this list, even if the item isn't on the endcap, you can check and see if it's somewhere in the store and then scan it to see if it has been marked down. and any items with the UPC, you can see if they're marked down in your store before even seeing if the item is on the shelves. Have fun! -
According to the Sears website, they pm both local retailers print and online ads, and take an additional 10% off. I'm thinking I may do Sears this yer instead of Wal-Mart...

:::wah!!!::: The pdf link isn't working for me!!

Whoa! Sears PMs and takes off an additional 10%??? I may just do Sears instead of Wal-Mart. The pm'ing policy is posted on the website, and it says they honor both print and online deals for a local retailer...

Crissy, were they hidden inside an Advent calendar?

I love the look of the one at Target with Santa and his reindeer floating on a bed of air. It's so cool to see it floating unsupported (except by air)!

Similar to the eight small gifts, one for each night, for Hanukkah?

Amaretto Fudge 1 (12 oz) pkg semi-sweet chocolate chips 1 (14 oz) can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk 1/4 c amaretto 1 tsp almond flavoring 3/4 c slivered or sliced almonds Mix chips and milk in a bowl, cover loosely and microwave on High for 3 minutes. Stir until smooth then add flavorings. Pour into a foil lined, greased 8" square pan that has been sprinkled with the almonds. Let cool and cut into 1" pieces. Bailey's Irish Cream Fudge 4 1/2 cups sugar 1 12-oz can evaporated milk 1/2 pound butter 2 12-oz. pkg milk chocolate chips 1 12-oz. pkg semisweet chocolate chips 2 7-oz. jars marshmallow cream 2 teaspoons vanilla 2/3 cup Bailey's Irish Cream 2 cups chopped walnuts -- optional Set chocolate chips, marshmallow cream, vanilla, Bailey's and nuts in a very large bowl. Pour milk mixture over the reserved chocolate chip mixture and stir slowly to blend. (Do not use a mixer.) Pour into a well-buttered 9x13-inch or 10x15-inch pan and chill. Makes about 5 pounds. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - NOTES : If you like large pieces of fudge, use the 9x13-inch pan. If you prefer smaller pieces, use the 10x15-inch pan. Cookies N' Cream Fudge servings: Makes about 2 1/2 pounds 3 (6-oz) packages white chocolate baking squares 1 (14-oz) can sweetened condensed milk (NOT evaporated milk) 1/8 teaspoon salt 3 cups (about 20 cookies) coarsely crushed chocolate creme-filled sandwich cookies In heavy saucepan, over low heat, melt white chocolate squares, condensed milk and salt. Remove from heat; stir in cookies. Spread evenly into foil-lined 8-inch square pan. Chill 2 hours or until firm. Turn fudge onto cutting board; peel off foil and cut into squares. Store tightly covered at room temperature or in refrigerator. Variation: Use 3 cups of any of your other favorite cookies. Proceed as above. Kahlúa Creamy Fudge 1 1/3 c sugar 1 (7 oz) jar marshmallow creme 2/3 c evaporated milk 1/4 c butter 1/4 c Kahlúa 1/4 tsp salt 2 c semisweet chocolate chips 1 c milk chocolate chips 2/3 c pecans, chopped 1 tsp pure vanilla Line 8" square baking dish with foil. Plain Chocolate Fudge I usually do plain, nuts and a pan with nuts, mini marshmallows and marachino cherries mixed in (drain first though). 1 1/2 bags semi-sweet chocolate chips 1 can sweetened condensed milk 1 tsp vanilla a dash of salt Heat over med-low stirring often until melted and soft. Pour into a 11x7 pan lined with aluminum foil and chill about 2 hours.

Excellent! This is why the most important thing to learn from the tutorial I wrote (I think of it has the Newbie Guide) is to scan everything you have an interest it. Even if there is no sign that it had even a 15% off markdown. You may wind up being pleasantly surprised. -

But did it scan $6.24? Or did you show them the receipt from the FL store and they matched it? -
I haven't seen any in the past couple of weeks, but I do know many BB&B's take their own expired coupons.

I also have several, mostly the ones already stated: Original 1947 Miracle on 34th Street with Natalie Wood Scrooge with Allistair Simm (released as A Chr-stmas Carol in US) It's a Wonderful Life Holiday Inn and White Chr-stmas I also really enjoy the Rankin/Bass Claymation specials. I never catch the one about The Little Drummer Boy anymore. I wonder if ABC Family will air it.
