  1. Oh wow! Does it come with the board bottom? We got a Thomas one, and it has no bottom.
  2. What type of slip of paper did they give you for a raincheck?
  3. They aren't holiday/seasonal merchandise, so I don't think it will go 90% off. I would grab it at 75% off, if you can swing the $75.00.
  4. From: the Newbie Guide: However... It all depends on how far behind the mark-down team is. I did not go to Target Wednesday evening, but it wouldn't surprise me if they started to mark the toys down late Wednesday afternoon.
  5. Ditto. I don't hang dreidels on the tree at work, but my theme at home is dreidels, menorahs, blue and white, etc. Now at FIL's, who is Wisconsin Lutheran born and raised and whom we visit for Chr-stmas Day, the theme is eccletic with inherited ornaments and decorations.
  6. Yes, I was just coming to report that quite a few toys have gone to 75% off. It feels a little late to me, as I always thought it happened mid-July, but I'll take it! So many are 75% off that there isn't enough endcaps at my Target for all of them to be displayed there. So definitely, look in the aisles, and scan anything you're interested in, just in case only one item was marked down and the team didn't put stickers on the rest of the inventory of the items.
  7. I have never gotten 90% off on salvage, except on seasonal items. Toys are always sold at 75% off for salvage at my store. I have once seen a toy with a clearance sticker marked for 85% off, but only once. And it was marked that. If it scanned 0.00 or item not found, I am sure the best I would have gotten is 75% off.
  8. Keep watching them then. Unless it is the same item in new packaging for next year already?
  9. Andrea, just double checking. The fountains may be scanning clearance, and may not have been tagged or signed as such. Did you scan one to make sure? If so, keep checking on them on the day the Garden department appears to be marked down at your store. At least you know to watch them, compared to the typical Target 'guest.'
  10. That's pretty much the same here at my one lone Target (although no one here in Gator Town seems to realize the US flags and flagpoles follow the Independence Day clearance, so there's usally a lot of those left at 90% off). However, it pays to look in areas where 90% off seasonal clearance may be mis-stocked. I do find non-broken clearance items mixed in with regular priced items on occasion. Whether a team member restocked it in the wrong place, or a Guest tried hiding it, I can't answer. But it's always worth a look.
  11. Well rats, I'm not in Michigan or Toledo... But I'll thank you for sharing the info for posters who do!
  12. Right now, the deals are a bit few and far between. The sumer line recently went clearance, and the Independence Day merchandise as well (American Flags and such). The summer line, since it was seasonal, pretty much stayed on the shelves where it was originally placed, at least until it thinned out so much that it could all fit on an endcap or two. Patio furniture and kids garden items are on clearance now as well. ZOf course, the patio furniture are too big to be on endcaps. And the kids garden supplies have just been marked down so they're probably at 30% off still in their original location. The good clearance items that make it to the endcaps at 75% off or so are usually only a few of each items. Keep in mind, 'perimeter' not only means the outer walls of the building, but also the 'back' walls of interior departments. In my Target, the boys and girls clothes are backed up to each other, with a false wall inbetween. Along that false wall, on either side, are clearance endcaps for both departments.
  13. I believe some posteers here have posted that they have found the Eddie Bauer picnic baskets at 75% off. I remember I went straight out to my Target and found one lone basket. But, it still scanned 30% off. And the next day it was gone. :frown: I really wanted one of those picnic baskets...
  14. Good for you!! Aww...you are so welcome. But I started the thread for purlely selfish reasons, as I look forward to reading what others find in their Targets as well, and maybe find the same deal at mine.
  15. http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Yes/N1Yes03HL5.gif Especially in conjunction with FL's tax-free week next week!
  16. Yes it does!! Although it can bite you in the tush if someone buys it at a higher price than you want to pay.
  17. Welcome to gottadeal, periwinkle! Did you read the Newbie Guide, a/k/a the first post in this thread?
  18. http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Yes/N1Yes03HL5.gif Precisely. This is how they claim they make such large donations to each community. What bothers me is going to Goodwill and finding a Target item for sale there at more than what it was clearanced for at Target.
  19. Unfortunately, it can be. At some Targets, once an item goes salvage they can try to refuse to sell it to you. The argument to use is that you found the item on the sales floor, and it is not coming up as recalled, so it is then for sale at the lowest sale price. Since you know those items were just 90% off last week, they know it as well, and should sell it to you. However, some stores are just hard cases in regards to not selling salvaged items, and arguing until you're blue in the face will still get you no where. Again, you need to get the feel for each of your Target stores, and even individual cashiers within each store.
  20. Yep, I just got back! Although signage was up that it was 4/$1.00, I apparently hit Gator Town's before anyone else. I was able to get 200 of the various black dot summer toys (sidewalk chalk, bicycle items, swim goggles, USA activity books, cloth frisbees, etc.) for our next Santa visit and Easter Bunny visit. I usually miss out on these, and with a $50 budget have been very limited on what we can hand out to the resident children. Now I'm set for awhile, and can spend the $50 alloted for the gifts on other items instead. Great find!!
  21. How good is the Clermont store for clearance? I drive right past the new Kohl's on 27 whenever we go visit my FIL near Lake Wales, but we never schedule time for me to perimeter peruse the Target or on 50 or Kohl's on either the trip down or up. I only have the Gator Town Target, with the Ocala one the next closest 45 miles away (not usually worth the gas to drive 90 miles round trip), and neither is a Super Target.
  22. tchubb, where in Central FL are you? More towards Orlando, or up near Ocala?
  23. The One Spot went 75% off today? Waaahhh, I was waiting until Thursday!!
