I strongley agree with DaleRider. I was in Petco last weekend and it just seems so sad to see those pups in the cages. Don't look for a deal on a dog. Having a dog is like having a kid. You wouldn't look for a good deal on a kid, you would look for the best one. Go with a local breeder. Look at the parents. By the way, I have a black lab. They are the best dogs. You won't find a more loyal dog. Good Luck.

The stores have sales every week. The ads come out on Sundays in the newspapers. When you get to the town you want to shop in pick up a paper. Or, most of the time the stores will have the flyers online and you could print from there. In the US we also have great sales directly after the holidays.

That article is ridiculous. We all know there is no guarantee on these ads. Nobody is getting ripped off by seeing the ads early. This is a free site and I am sure most of the people on sites like this do pick up the newspaper for BF ads. Besides if you look at last years ads, you will see that they were legit ads. The writer of that article did not do his/her homework.

I shopped in Middletown last year but not for BF.

I plan to stay around. Of course I won't be sitting by my computer refreshing all day long like I am now. I will probably stop in about once a day to see if there are any good deals I should be buying.

Waiting period in Upstate NY is only for handguns. I do think Gander Mtn had them last year on BF. In Dicks flyer this Sunday they have a Marlin 30/30 lever action for 299.99. It has 6-shot magazine, hardwood stock, rifle scope, rings and bases.

I am a Realtor in Upstate NY. I always say Happy Holidays to my customers and clients because I work with mostly people from NYC. However, if I know for sure that someone celebrates Christmas I will say Merry Christmas. I don't say Happy Holidays because someone told me to, I say it out of respect for other people. That being said, and I do celebrate Christmas, I would not be at all offended if someone wished me a Happy something else because if that is the worse thing that ever happened to me, I think I would be doing pretty good.
