Yeah that line was just the camera check out. The main line was umm...200 ppl long, it went zigzaggin throughout the whole store.

Ok didn't see one of these yet so figured lets start one. Yeah i figured they would do this last nite, i even said it in chat. I knew they would either cancel or send an email saying there was an error for ordering doorbuster items online.

i did and i was suprised i got it. There was around 100 ppl in front of me at 2am and i was #11 on the sheet. Saw someone in back of me with #33. I was going to get a ticket for the pc's and see if anyone wanted one really bad and missed out and hand it to them but i figured the lines would be horrible if i waited around for even 10 minutes and boy were they long just in 10 minutes:eyepoppin

The sales guy i talked to on monday was right about BestBuy letting ppl in at 3am. Right at 3:05 manager came out and said ok we're gonna let ppl in at a clip of 10 ppl per shot. So we could warm up. We had to get in lines inside until 4:50 but thats better then standing out in 0 degrees outside. And we could see where everything was also.

Yeah i think that was the idea, because ppl were getting grumpy out in the cold lol. Is there any other best buys that ppl went to that did this? Kid in front of me in line said they did that last year.

I went to OD picked up the ticket to get the Canon A520, got in line and kid said ok i just have to get someone to get this for you. He sent a girl, after 10 minutes i saw her behind the CS desk and was like wtf. 15 mins passed by and i asked where is my camera the girl you sent is behind the Customer service desk, so he got another kid who din know what he was doing to get it. Waited another 20 mins, still nothing. So i said ok do i have to get a manager for this? Hes like i cant do anything i called and noones responding so i went to the CS desk and said to them i been waiting 35 mins and noone is gettin my camera! So he said he'll try to get it. Another 10 mins went by and i saw the girl walk past me and said did you get my camera? She was like uhhhh ok brb. Another 15 mins went by and finally she brought it up. I waited an hour for this damn camera to be sent up front from the back like all their cameras are. This store was POOOOOORLY organized and they didn't even have a manager on duty! I think i heard the girl say if i wanted a 20 GF but i just said no just gimme my receipt and thanks for this holdup now i probably missed quite a lot of stuff. I WILL NOT GO TO THIS OD NEXT YEAR.

Well we left here at 130, got to best buy at 2. I figured that with the temp being 0 with the wind that hardly noone would be there, i was wrong . Was like 150 ppl there. It was wrapped around the store. And ppl were just walking up in front of me and gettin in line(wasn't happy). I was talking to quite a few ppl and they couldn't believe all the ppl there at 2am with it being that cold. Well anyways i told them that one guy said they were gonna open 3am. lol that caught everyones attention, they were like where the hell did you hear this? I said a salesman, and what do ya know...3:05 comes by and the manager comes out and says... were are going to start lettin ppl in but only 10 at a time. It went pretty quick got in at 3:50, thankfully they had tickets for the camera. I think they still had them for everything. Then we had to wait in these lines inside on each side of the store till 4:55 then they said...ok employee's...time to go LIVE. And they moved the boxes out of the way and chaos began Every1 runnin everywhere and i just went to get the camera and got in the camera line but waited 40 minutes and i was 10th in line:mad: . But good god at the main checkout line, it went zig zag in the aisles throughout the whole store and this was at 5:30. But anyways it turned out to be a good first BF, i got that camera and the one at OD. I took pics with camera phone, i'll try to upload later i need sleep.

I was just wondering if anyone has been through this. Because i went to bestbuy and the cameraguy said they didn't have the camera and told me i shouldn't wait in line on monday, and seen responses here saying they are told to say that, but my friend went there yesterday and saw a diff salesman in camera dept and he was telling ppl what was in back and around how much of them he saw , like the pcs and laptop doorbusters and he heard him say that the Kodak C360 didn't come in yet. What if they dont have it? I am gonna be really ticked off if i wait in 0 degree temps and they dont have it. Its in their ad.

lol yeah i can see lines starting in warmer then 50 degree weather but where i am....you gotta be nuts to be in line for over 6 hours in wind chills of 0 to -15 degrees. So imma just sit back and might take a trip up there at 1.

well i think its getting to late to order online now.....anyone notice quite a bit of items are sold out on the best buy site now (ie. sony dvd burner, westinghouse hdtv)

Seen other ppls posts about their forecasts but will the weather where you are affect what time you will go to wait in line? Most likely it will here in jersey and pa with temps below 20 and winds 15-30mph. Thats why i plan to leave around 2am for bestbuy. Also has anyone waited in line in these low temps over a couple hours and how long were the lines if you did around 2am.

Was just at walmart supercenter and they were loading up the aisles with the 20inch tvs and puttin the blackbags over them. People were asking if they could have them now lol, manager just laughed at them. They had other pallets covered also.

im heading to bestbuy at 2am. The cold air is starting to move in already and the wind is picking up. By 2am they said would be like 17 with winds of 20mph+, so i dont think many ppl are going to be out in line in that unless they are asking for frostbite:tongue1:

we just got a dusting here in nw jersey but tonite waitin in line at BB...snow showers with a low of 16 and winds of 20-30 mph so that brings the temp down to what...-10 -20

i just got my ad from the newspaper and theres no inserts and the PC's are still 488. Did you guys get the ads from the papers or did you walk into the stores to get them?

yes but they want the ORIGINAL barcode sent in. Copies of the receipt they dont care about. So if they say they never got it, then you dont have the original no more. I know a few ppl who had trouble with this, dont know how OD is with handling Rebates, but yes it is a OD rebate i just checked their site.

No, it says the reciept must show the date 11/25/05 - 11/26/06. Im just iffy about these mail in rebates, but yeah this seems like the best deal on a camera, but you just have to pay full price till ...when your rebate comes back which is usually 2 months or more

Yeah but i can make copies of the reciept but you can't make a copy of the UPC barcode

I only have done a few mail in rebates before, some i got back some i never did I know OD has this 75 Dollars off any digital camera, but its a mail in rebate. This sounds like a good deal but i dont wanna send it in and never get it back because then im screwed because they only have one UPC code on them.Maybe i could send these certified? lol. Whats everyones opinion on this or past experience. :)
