  1. Big thanks from me too. All these great deals and a sense of humor too.
  2. My walmart was much busier than last year. I pulled in the parking lot at 5am and couldn't find a spot and people were parking people in. Yikes! I went over to Target and came back around 7:00 or so. It was still carzy with lines halfway to the back of the store. By the time I found what I needed, the lines had died down. I had a very friendly, helpful cashier which is very unusual. They seemed to be getting people out quickly. The electronics area was completely out of control. You could barely get in and once you were in, you couldn't get out.
  3. Had the same problem with the toddler track suits. They adjusted at the register with no problems, a first for me.
  4. I had the same thoughts about the stores thinking I'm shoplifting if I use a bag, but unless you leave the store you cannot be questioned. I'm trying to avoid the aching arms from holding all of my stuff. The line in Kohls is ususally so long that once I have everything I need, the line is to the back of the store where I am. I just stack all my stuff on the floor and kick it along to the register.

    Kohls and returns

Shouldn't have any problems on your exchange. I do a ton of buying, returning, rebuying, there and have never had a problem. I must not be the only one as the return line is always long, but they move very, very quickly. I have always been very impresed with the customer service at Kohls. One of my favorite place to shop.
  6. Hope the attention the people already waiting isn't making them a target for crime. Not everyone has a family to spend Thanksgiving with, or some people may have a family the dont want to spend time with.
  7. Clone trooper plug n play game in Target BF add currently $24.99 on amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Star-Wars-Clone-Wars-Plug/dp/B00168L19O/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1227493486&sr=8-2
  8. I tried this same thing two years ago and even had a copy of the email with me. They refused to adjust the prices several times until I threatened to call the district manager. Just an fyi.
  9. I thought last year's was for 20% off. I'm still happy with 15%.
  10. Got mine yesterday also. Finally!
  11. No toy book in my paper either. I swear mine was mailed last year. Maybe I'm wrong.
  12. Had a horrible experience with price adjusting at target two yrs. ago. I contacted their corporate headquarters via email and verified that items in the BF ad follow the normal price two week price adjustment policy. I shopped the Wed before Thanksgiving and went into the store with my receipt and a copy of the email from their corp office on BF to have the adjustments made. I was told by every person at the customer service counter that they couldn't do it. I asked for the store manager and she too told me they wouldn't do it and she also told me that there was no way to verify that the email I had was real. My husband and I have both worked in retail in some form for 15+ years so I knew what I needed to say/threaten to get the adjustment. I told the store manager that I wanted the names and phone numbers of her district manager and regional manager. She wrote them down for me and I pulled out my cell phone to call and without saying another word, she processed the adjustment. I have a friend that I work with whose wife is a store manager at a different Target and she does price matching all day long on BF. Apparently, the policy varies by store or the managers feel they can comply with the policy on a case by case basis.
  13. I just about fell over when I saw that price on the w/d!! Holy smokes. Although not the same brand, we paid $599 for a front load the washer this spring. Got what we thought was quite a deal because the price we saw online was $100 less than in-store and they matched it. By the time we got home, the online price went up $100. Just a word of caution, the ad mentions the pedastal is sold seperately. Those buggers are pricey. We were going to try and do without, but I felt like I would have been doing my laundry on my knees. Without the pedastal, they sit very close to the ground.
  14. Black Friday pricing will likely be lower thatn lowest prices of the season. The legality here is the definition of the "season". Seasons can be any defined time period. Although we don't get to see it, they have the seasons defined by dates. I would guess that black friday will fall into the next "season" which would allow for lower prices that advertised now, but won't get them into any leagal trouble.
  15. About 10 years ago I was in my car waiting for Target to open. This was back in the day when people didn't line up outside the door. It was a very icy black friday and the parking lot was a sheet of ice. As the doors opened, everyone got out of their cars and started to run toward the store. About 50 feet in front of me, a very pregnant girl slipped on the ice and fell. People just kept running around her and stepping over her. I stopped to help her up. She was unhurt, embarassed and quite thankful. I just couldn't believe that nobody stopped to help her.
  16. The turkey is gone The crazy shopping starts now Can't wait to get there
  17. Hi all! I'm Sandi from Brunswick, Oh (suburb of Cleveland). I am married for 13 years with 2 boys, 3 and 6. My DH thinks I am a nut case going to Kohls at 4 am on black friday, but I can't help it! We need to get buttons or something so we can recognize each other in the lines on BF.
  18. They had Fiskars 5 inch school scissors with pointed tip for $0.25 in this past Sunday's add. I got a bunch. Can't beat scissors for a quarter!
  19. 75% off on the discontinued scents that were $4 for the past week or so. This worked out to $2.37 for the shower gels and lotions and $2.67 for the body spray. The scents I can remember are: Country Apple Night Blooming Jasmine Sheer Freesia Plumeria White Tea & Ginger Peony Pearberry The also had "select" wallflowers Buy One Get Two Free. That worked out to 3 for $12. Not sure which scents were included as I still have wallflowers left from the sale in January. There were a few baskets more baskets marked 75% and 50% off, but I was on my lunch hour and didn't have time to look. I also got a $10 off $30 coupon on my receipt for doing their phone survey. The survey takes less than a minute to complete.
  20. I'm in the Strongsville target all the time. I live in Brunswick, so an about halfway between both Strongsville and Medina targets.
  21. Tons of Xmas stuff left at the Target in Fairlawn Ohio today around noon. I bought an outdoor lighted penguin sculpture that rang up 60% off instead of the posted 50% off (reg. price $24.99, got for $9.99) Everything else rang up 50% off. They had tons of ornaments, garland and lights. Also a huge section of outdoor timers. Not alot of wrapping paper, but did find alot of 5-pks of Xmas gift bags for $2.50 after 50% off. They also had a bunch of the 2-pack of playground balls that were $3 for two balls after the 50% off. Seems like they were consolidating the Xmas stuff from other departments (towels, comforters, showercurtains, etc) back in the seasonal area. I left happy.:)
