Usually when I buy something at JCP, the back of my receipt has information about taking a survey and receiving a 15% off coupon. I can't remember the details on the timing. I think its something like you have to take the survey within 7 days of the purcahse and the coupon is good for a specified time (30 days maybe?). This may be a way to save some additional $$.

As a group at work we take care of several families from our local children's hospital that have a child in the family that is terminally ill. All of the children in the family list one gift request. This years requests really got to me. I am buying for a 9 year old girl who requested a heated blanket. I saw lots of other requests for wool socks, winter coats, hats and gloves and many other necessities. One 12 year old boy was asking for Men's Dove body wash. We have quite a large group so we always make sure to take care of their wishes and also get them a little something extra, just for them. We also include things like gas cards and grocery store gift cards for the parents.

20 years for me. I took my hubby with me when we were dating. He has never gone again. It scared him! Thanks to this site, it is so much easier to get organized. I remember the days of trying to sort through the ads and come up with a plan on Thanksgiving day. Now I've got my plan in place without having to run to get my newspaper on Thanksgiving Day.

Also got the $.09 pencils. We are doing a a drive for low income students to fill hundreds of backpacks. My department was assigned a goal of 500 packs of pencils. I got 50 packs (no limit) and made a nice dent in the 500 pack goal!

LOL at the black "island". I kept looking at it thinking "what the heck is that?"

Bakugan Ball thing $12.48 here also. Had to buy at that price becuase I needed it for a birthday party on Saturday. ALL other Bakugan product was GONE. DH asked about it and was told it was "pulled" to make space for Iron Man toys. I thought this was very strange. The week before they still had tons of Bakugan product. Has anyone else ever heard of something like this? Does this mean that all of that product is sitting in their back room? I'm sure they could have found space somewhere for the Iron Man product.

Has anyone noticed if the Knex Lava Launch Roller coaster has been marked down? I belive original price was around $70 or so. Walmart had some marked down so I was wondering if Target might also. Haven't had a chance to get out myself and take a look. . .my regular life has been interfereing with my shopping life.

Your description of this stuff made me LOL! You're not kidding about it being loud! My first reaction was "What the heck is that?" I didn't look too much at what was in that section, but I did see a bunch of clothing. I didn't bother to check the labels, but I would guess its not the normal Circo brand for kids. I thought it was strange to have it in the back of the store like that. They must be trying something new for the January time period. I'm hoping for some good clearance out of that stuff.

75% off Christmas in Strongsville Ohio. No wrap, cards, lights but lots or ornaments. My timing was right this time! I got some of the shatterproof ornaments in the package that looks like a light bulb. They are multi colored and were originally $6 so I bought 4 for $6. They even had a few trees left, but I don't think they were pre-lit. There was a ton of activity in the toy section. There were several people working and the had most of the toys off of the shelves and in carts in the isles. Anybody know what this means? Looked like the were re-setting the toy section. There was stuff all over and I couldn't get down any of the aisles. I only saw things from a distance and looked like they were only 30% off. Does the stuff in the carts mean that its stuff that's going to get marked down? I have my eye on some Star Wars Battle packs for my DS birthday.

So glad I'm not the only one who continues to shop. . . and shop. . .and shop. Its like a sport for me!

We went to see Santa the weekend before Thanksgiving to try and avoid the kids comping up with too much "new" stuff for their lists!
