  1. The ad doesn't seem to open inside a browser, it will only work if saved.
  2. The art of physical shopping on BF is not even close to being threatened or under attack. From everything that I've seen, exactly the opposite is happening. As our city has grown at a rapid pace, more and more retail stores have been opening two or three new locations withing 15 miles of each other. Still, there are more and more shoppers lining up every year. I think that most people are shopping online in addition to physically doing it later during the day.
  3. I've found that Target has been improving their ads, steadily, year by year. I can't miss a good sale there this BF.
  4. Super Wal-Mart, as always.
  5. How long is it going to take to change the DVD prices, do they expect us to sit in front of our computers all day? I'm still waiting for the tv box set prices to change, even though the ad has them cheaper.
  6. I agree with most of the posts here. What we need is another "black" (insert your choice)day, one that most people won't know about. We can then rotate the sale every few years.
  7. Hook it up so that you have TV access to your DVD recorder (DVD out) while the vcr is hooked up to go "in" to your DVD recorder. Start the tape and then start your recorder.
  8. I was thinking of selling off some of my assets to free up some currency for BF, but now that I've seen the ads, I'm kinda hesitant to do that.
  9. I was always under the impression that we did an annual BF team thread where people stated their location and formed teams. But, yeah OP, it does suck to shop alone on BF. Most of my relatives/friends don't understand why I do it and think I'm mentally unstable or something like that.
  10. Christmas club? Is that still around? One of my instructors told me about those when he was younger and said that they outlawed, or something like that, because they're a scam.
  11. See who can get their picture taken with a celebrity holding the GottaDeal logo.
  12. It's always like that. Every "older" generation looks back and remembers all the good things that happened in sepia tone while feeling sorry for the current generation for not experiencing what you've experienced. Most people consider the events during their generation as better than the rest.
  13. I'm not entirely sure of what you're looking for; but if I understand you correctly, you're referring the hybrid rollerblades/skateboard which the younger members of my generation tend to enjoy. I believe Wal-Mart will have these for $50 on Black Friday. Wow, I feel old. I guess that's what college does to you.
  14. I didn't even open mine up yet. Is this something I should expect?
  15. Unless they're completely sold out, this product isn't available online. Doesn't make much sense if it was available online anyway, it's a doorbuster.
  16. I have a question that I hope someone here can answer before BF: Why does the BF ad for BB state that certain items are only available Friday and Saturday, when right underneath it, it says they're available from 11-23 through 11-25? Since BB is closed on Thanksgiving, is it possible that these items are available online 11/23? Any rumors about that?
  17. Barring a secret Thanksgiving-only ad (ala Wal Mart style), I doubt that there will be any PS2's for less then $100. The lowest I've seen is $129 at several retailors on Black Friday. In fact, you can get a used one for that price right now at stores such as Game Crazy and EB Games.
  18. Honestly, I can't really say that I feel any adrenaline made by my adrenal glands during BF. I believe that adrenaline is only secreted only as an extreme stress reaction, and I don't feel that way in the morning.
  19. Looks like a tie between WM and BB right now. Wal Mart for me, however.
  20. Why is the WalMart ad so blah? I think $169 is a pretty good deal for a PSP, unless there are cheaper prices elsewhere.
  21. I say buy one on ebay, you can save a little money that way.
  22. Employees should not be able to have an advantage over regular customers on doorbuster, or any items on sale. They chose to work retail and all of the positives and negatives that come with it. Besides, employees get bonus discounts from time to time. When I worked in Fred Meyer, every month we'd get double 10% discounts, plus another 10% discount on certain things. And, these days, how much are we really saving standing outside a store in the cold; maybe 30%-50%. Of course, even when there are rules about it, I know for a fact that Wal-Mart employees in my area set doorbuster items aside for themselves every BF.
  23. the two hour line at BB, followed by the 1.5 hour line at staples, and the 1 hour line at WM after all of that. people who look at you weird, like there's something wrong with the way you look. It makes me feel strange, knowing that I didn't really have time to look at myself in a mirror.
  24. All of them, if possible, and if I have time.
