  1. Thanks, OP! I usually skip JC Penney, but I was looking for a purse to replace my diaper bag (I'm moving up!) and found a great buy... a Tagi (?) leather purse, reg $110 on sale (after 20%) for $19.99! I also picked up a tank top for my daughter... reg $15 on sale for $2.97... My receipt said I spent $24 and saved $102!!! Joanne
  2. I respectfully disagree . While definitely not a $20 bracelet, it's well-worth the $7 I paid for it... I get lots of compliments on it, too :) Note: It is rather large, and may not fit the wrist of a petite woman. Joanne
  3. Those are the Michigan City outlets... not bad. They have some nicer stores there, IIRC. My friend goes there especially to buy shoes :) Joanne
  4. I think they also offer coupon books at the information desk, too... but you may have to show ID that you live more than XXX miles away... Joanne
  5. I have found the outlets to be hit or miss. Sure, you can get some great clearance steals, but their "regular" merchandise isn't always the best deal. I bought a bunch of stuff at the mall, and saw it for more $$$ at the outlet a week later. Joanne
  6. Thanks.... this is the one with flash memory only; no SD card. My kids both have this one; it is a very good player and the price is excellent. I also have a dead ink cartridge, so I will have to make up my mind. I think they are getting ready for a new SD model and most of the old ones are unavailable. Thanks for the advice, Joanne
  7. Hello, My husband ordered this for me for Mother's Day last week from buy.com but now it is "unavailable". I am looking to find it somewhere else, in the ~$50 price range... This is the mp3 player with the removable SD card. Circuit City on-line is out of stock both on-line and at any stores within 100 miles of my home. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Joanne
  8. Me, too! It was in a red catalog/flier... folded on the inside of the cover page. Funny, I was just saying to myself this morning that my husband needs some new undershirts... (I hate when things are spent before I even get to the store...) Joanne
  9. We bought this for my 8 yr old daughter last year for her b'day. It issn't a fancy camera, but it takes nice pictures. Very good for a beginner or someone looking for an EASY first camera. Daughter loves it. She has taken some nice shots with it. Easy to use straight from the box. Joanne
  10. OK, OK, it works!!! And my photo came out, too :) Thanks for the pixel width tip. That made it very easy to upload :) Joanne
  11. OK, this puts me OVER 100... does it take a while for the options to appear at the bottom of the page???
  12. Thanks for the tips... I am going to try this now that I am at 100 :) Joanne
  13. Thanks mickey2005 and noehlp!!! I just LOVE when AG runs a deal like this. We like to donate books to our school library; the school is only 2 yrs old and their collection needs a boost. This is the perfect way to do it! Joanne
  14. Thanks... We went last night and got 3 free tenders... just enough for my 2 YO son... he ate pretty well, which was a pleasant surprise :) I thought the Chicken Naturals sandwich was tasty, too... (They have the BEST honey mustard!) On a side note, I read that The Apprentice is doing an Arby's Chicken Naturals episode this season... Joanne
  15. I've seen great deals on sets (wooden ones) at both Cosco and Sam's... I think they get them in March/April. The Cosco ones go fast! They are pre cut & pre-drilled, so all you have to do is assemble them. We looked for one in May/June and the box stores were sold out. We went with swing-n-slide. Just a note, you can get yellow or green slides, depending if you shop at Home Depot or Lowe's. Joanne
  16. Thanks! I made one of these for my MIL a year or so ago, so I bought another one now for my own mom :) I know she will like it!! Joanne (Is this a reliable on-line store???)
  17. http://www.shop.com/op/~Graco_CarGo_5_Pt_Harness_Booster_Car_Seat_8490SYT-prod-12553825 Shop.com/Smartbargains.com has the Graco Cargo Ultra for $59.99 but there is an additional $15 shipping charge... that just makes the price average. Looks like the TRU $79.99 less $10 coupon is the best deal around right now... It was interesting searching on this. There are a LOT of Cargo boosters like the Treasured that don't have the front adjusters... and once I figured out what that was (thanks!!!) I couldn't imagine purchasing anything w/o it :) Sounds like a trip to TRU is on the horizon. Thanks everybody for the info! I feel like an informed shopper right now Joanne
  18. Okay, I've been researching seats for a bit. That ivillage message board was interesting! Those people really know their stuff. Can you explain what it means that the Graco Cherished is "front-adjusting"? How does that work? And is the Ultra Cargo a "read adjusting"? It seems that the Cherished is only available at Wal Mart Is it worth the $20 upgrade from the Ultra Cargo??? ($10 price difference + $10 TRU coupon) Thanks, Joanne
  19. WOW! $50 is a steal... hope they do that again soon :) I will keep searching... and keep you posted. Joanne
  20. I went to TRU today to look at seats... the newer Eddie Bauer has "deluxe padding" but it didn't look convincing, and the armrests looked flimsy. I liked the Graco Ultra something-or-other... looked comfy and sturdy at the same time. My 2 older daughters have the Graco turbo backless boosters, and we LOVE them :) My son is only 2, but 35 lbs and 33"... he needs the harness. I guess I will start price-shopping on the Graco Ultra Car-Go now... It's $79.99 at TRU, plus they have the $10 in-store coupon right now. Thanks for all the advice! Joanne
  21. I checked at Consumer Reports, and they gave it very good reviews. But I have seen a post on-line that the padding wasn't very good, so maybe I will reconsider. Nothing is easy these days, is it??? Joanne
  22. Hello, my son has outgrown his car seat, and I am looking for the best price on a Cosco Eddie Bauer High Back Booster seat. I am not too concerned with pattern. The best I have seen is $59.99 at Amazon, plus a $10 coupon on car seats over $40. Any other suggestions? I wold also make an in-store purchase if I can find it cheaper. Thanks, Joanne edited for spelling correction :)
  23. Yes! I went in yesterday morning and there was a LOT of Lands End merchandise marked down 75%... I got a pr of jeans and 2 pr of khakis for my husband... $10 each. I also found Lands End girls shirts, sz 4-14 marked down to $6 and $4... Wish I had more time to check the ladies' dept... Joanne
  24. The Passporter book is great!!! It is full of lots of tips for timing, things to avoid and things to make sure you see, transportation, basically everything. I also really like their web page: http://www.passporterboards.com/ubb/index.php You can find an answer to almost any question here... the people are VERY friendly, and very helpful. Last time I was there, they had a travel agent basically on staff who would watch your reservation and bring the rate down if there were any changes. No fees or anything :) I also like this page: http://allthingswdw.conforums.com/ Another awesome group of folks who just LOVE Disney. Have a great trip! Joanne
  25. Thanks... The less glitches, the better. My grandpa is quick, but not uber-tech savvy... I will pass the info on to my dad :) Joanne
