I absolutely HATE Dell..there customer service is deplorable...not just the accent thing but they do not want to honor their warranties and you have to fight and threaten them to get anywhere. You also cannot seem to get a supervisor that knows or does anything!! I am buying a laptop this summer and it will not be a dell!! My DS's got me a new computer for this past Christmas and knew not to buy Dell.. we got an acer and so far, so good and we had to replace the mouse and they fed exed me a new one 2 days later, no problems they had me try to reload the mouse..it didn't work voila sent me a new one

There are tons of ads right now due the stores wanting you to spend your tax incentive. Mine went to rent Check out the dell outlet, they have some good deals. I have an Acer now, had Dell the last 2 times. I can tell you that Acer has far superior customer service. My DS's bought me this computer for Xmas and it works great. Check out todays paper and you can find lots of things, staples, best buy etc, etc or go to dell.com/outlet

The price tag on mine did say $24.xx but they had the sample one marked $6.24 so I scanned the boxed one and voila it rang up $6.24 check to be sure

Just FYI 2 of us GD people have found them at Target one for $12.xx and one for $6.xx They look interesting and for the price I thought I would give it a try. You can also buy replacment bags on sunbeam.com, ebay and amazon I may try to be industrious and just make my own out of parchment paper

I already checked an ebay had lots of them as did amazon. I don't think they will be a problem to find. I also checked them out and I think you could easily make your own if you bought the parchment paper and maybe saved the things on the top with the holes in it. I may try..I hope I don't burn the house down PS the bags were cheaper on ebay but weren't too bad on amazon either. let us know how you like yours

My refrigerator died on Wednesday and I got a new one yesterday..unfortunately I lost everything in both the refrig and freezer. I went grocery shopping this am and picked up some replacment stuff. I also stopped at Target (where I have not found anything in the way of bargains lately) to pick up some more items to replace. I did my usual perimeter perusing and I found a Sunbeam Rocket Grill and it was $6.24 I had seen them on QVC and they looked cool but I was also worried about them not making the bags for it anymore so I never bought one. I found a box of the parchment bags and they were clearanced to $3.74 for 36 of them. I haven't tried it yet but, hey for $11 or so dollars if I use it 10 times I will get my moneys worth. I want to try cooking something frozen first...it looked so cool.

I checked out their website...not great coverage in my area...it had the lowest amount of "green bars"...I don't think it showed very good coverage in Mass in general. OK back to square one...Trac phone? Virgin? others? cheaper is better. ATT and Verizon looked pricier and the phones were more $$$

I am going to be suspending my Verizon acct in the fall for 4 months while DS is in London I cannot see paying for phones that he cannot use and I will use rarely if I am not talking to him. I have seen Trac-phone and Virgin here..any opinions? They both are supposed to get good reception here. The price seemed comparable but I did notice that trac phone had cards that said free double minutes. The Virgin phone was only $9.88. I do not want an expensive phone..all is want is to call and answer basically. I do not need a camera phone and all sorts of bells and whistles on it. I would appreciate your opinions tia

Yeah read my post on Beware of Magic Jack What till the bank takes out more money than authorized too, espcially since we never even received the product due to their error (wrong address) The bank said we will never hear from them, you cannot get anyone by phone as their mailbox is full always...I don't beleive it ever is able to take a message. The BBB has tons of complaints on them and they have had run ins with the attorney general as well. I had to close my bank account, cancel any auto pays, get a new credit and debit card and new checks...it is a nightmare. IMHO STAY AWAY FROM MAGIC JACK...trust me. Luckily my bank is not charging me for the bounced check charges as they know these charges from MJ are fradulent. But the hassle I have gone through is terrible and their CS at MJ does not seem to speak English as their primary language....they answered in very "programmed" answers

hmmmm on mine they say NOT to wash them before putting them in the bag..just remove from original packaging and then place in green bag. Hey I may try that sounds like it would save time..esp at night after work if I am having salad or tacos etc

Ummmmm this was on a Southwest flight actually They are very paranoid about this situation and made sure that it was a nut free flight ahead of time. I guess it was a bad flight crew who didn't care

I have a coworker who flew on an airline last year and had a nearly lifethreatening experience. Her DS is severly allergic to nuts...when she made the reservations she made sure it would be a nut free flight etc and checked again prior to boarding. As the flight attendants are handing out refreshments lo and behold they were offering people nuts!! She immediately got up and went over the them and told them about her daughter and they could have cared less. Luckily the people sitting right near her understood the situation and refrained from the peanuts. I mean this kid can die just from "peanut dust in the air". Mt coworker had her daughter tie a bandana around her mouth and nose and made sure she touched nothing leaving the plane. I believe she got the same treatment when she contacted the airline several times and included documentation of the severity of the allergy etc. CS is not what it used to be

Yes I got my job to cut me a paper check and stop the direct deposit for this week. The $120 is due to overdraft fees etc!! My bank is reversing them however but they cannot control what other banks may do If you try to call MJ (my bank got a number for them) it is an answering machine that cannot accept any new messages as it is full. No doubt it is people calling to complain about being ripped off!! To the PP I am glad that you have not had a problem, but from what I have read you are one of the fortunate few. The BBB is very familiar with them and has many complaints. My biggest gripe is I never even got the product...it is not even like I returned it:( It never arrived here as THEY keyed in the wrong address and it was deemed undeliverable!! IMHO still stay away from them...my bank doubts we will ever hear back from them and basically I will be stuck with fees. My bank did rescind their payment, so MJ will not get any money

I just got and email from my bank. I had another charge they believe may be fradulent!!! They are now having my close my account and get a new debit/master card as they are afraid this may just get worse I cannot believe this...so basically my direct deposit check will go into a non existant account tomorrow...Arghhhh. Should I call the district attorney or somebody at the FCC:confused: If anybody can find a real name or phone number for Magic Jack, LLP please let me know and I will be "tearing them a new one"

I know we have a prior post on Magic Jack but I wanted to warn my fellow GD'ers here. I ordered this product on 3/18/08...by 04/02/08 I have never received it:( I emailed them..well live on line chat and you could easily tell that English was not their first language, so they too outsource:no: Anyways they told me the unit was returned as undeliverable:confused: They had put the wrong address on the box. They said they would send me out another unit...once again never received. I tried to call them, no number is listed for this company!!! I email again and speak to someone who assures me that the orders are cancelled. OK finally no more MJ problems....WRONG!!! I check my bank balance online and they have debited my account almost $47 I tried to email them...they say they "cannot help me" even though we never, ever received the units....basically too bad for me. I had to go into my bank, file a fraud report (they also caused other things to bounce:no:) my bank is looking into it but "companies like these usually never even respond). The bank got a phone number for them and get this it is answering machine and it tells you to leave your info BUT too bad for me the mail box is full...so I am basically SOL, according to the bank. I will file with the BBB but I am not sure how else to get the word out on this company. Any advice suggestions:confused: I am livid as this will cost me over $120:gdparanoid:
