I was thinking of making a trifle this Christmas...strawberries and angel food cake and strawberry cool whip. I saw Paula Deen do a Pumpkin Gingerbread one that looked yummy What do you usually make for holiday desserts?

I think RB 2 is on sale today at TRU with the guitar for $99 plus you get a $10 gc I was at Circuit City and they had some really nice cameras under $150..the guy rec Sony and Canon...he showed me the pros and cons of each camera..very helpful. My sons ex g/f wanted the bright blue Ipod and the only place we could find it last year was online and it was fairly cheap. It may have been a refurbished one but it has been problem free and she loves it. Good Luck..remember when they were little and the only thing that they wanted were trucks and dolls and then they would end up playing with the paper and boxes anyways

Another happy Verizon customer here > 5 years. We had Cingular..HATED them..all these extra charges for things we didn't order etc.

I am making lots of smaller batches of cookies/treats this year as I send them to my 85 yr old Dad in Florida..good thing he is not diabetic :) I am doing PB Balls Dipped Pretzels Pretzel turtle cookies fudge PB with the kiss on it and I am debating making those saltine candy cookies this year, I have never made them but I hear they are delicious. I bought the containers today to send the cookies in and I am going to BJ's to buy the big bags of Chocolate Chips etc

I voted every week and never got one thing I hope this year I have better luck...when does it start again?

I don't think it would turn out right. The yeast in the rolls starts to rise abit once it is out of the can. They only take a few minutes to make. I just throw in my cinnamon sugar mixture in a ziploc, drop in the cut up rolls and shake and mix well. I then put them into the bundt pan and pour over the butter and vanilla and put them into the oven. The whole thing takes less than 10 minutes

I know QVC sells them all the time, they have different styles and sizes. I believe that they are Cooks Essentials..which is QVC's name brand. There are customers reviews etc and lots of info on their website www.qvc.com

My mail carrier is insane If you attempt to go near the mail boxes she stands and shouts "step away from the mail receptacle, it is a federal violation to approach the letter carrier when she is delivering the mail" WTH Last year someone at the post office backed into her and she had a broken leg. I asked the replacement carrier where she was and he said..the job wasn't completed She is well known as a total lunatic..so no, no gift for her!

Only 1 store in NE is closing, in Orange CT I prefer CC to Best Buy any day and hope they can pull out of this mess

Just FYI Michaels flyer this week 11/2-11/8 they have a cute 4' tree pre lit with 150 clear or multi lights..use the 40% off coupon and you will get a tree for less than 20 bucks

Be careful not to spend much as there is a $$ value limit as to what you can accept from a patient and or their families (in most places that I know of) A gift card for a Pizza and soda is always nice, especially after a long 12 hour shift

You're in Florida right? They are probably still having yard sales there. I find so many things at yard sales..so cheap. I have found trees, lights, decorations etc for a few dollars. You can get a really good deal when people are downsizing, moving or changing their themes. I went to one yard sale where there was literally thousands of items all snowman themed..most things were around a dollar. Dollar Tree is good too..but I find I get even better bargains at yard/garage sales

No you misunderstood these people in this area hire and PAY for security..not the town!!! In a local newspaper article these people were just inudated with people that are not from the area looking for good candy. The article even said that they give out the same snack size mini bar candy as everyone else..people just assume they would get more because all these homes have wealthy owners

Does anyone have a recipe to do the fancy chocolate dipped pretzel rods? How about the candy coated, dipped apples (like Mrs Prindables)? I think I posted the pretzel/rolo/nut cookies...aren't they yummy? My Dad asked for those this year as well as my peanut butter balls. He is easy to please. BTW those cookies are called Turtle Cookies. I keep seeing lots of recipes for cookies/candies in alot of magazines this season
