Did I miss the $5 appliances (chopper, small crock pot, etc)? Or are they not in there this year?

I keep everything saved electronically as well. I have my Christmas lists back to 2003. I love being able to look back and see what I got the kids (and what I spent) as they got older and older. I used to email it back and forth from my home computer to my work computer, so if something happened to one I always had it backed up on another. Now, I keep it in Dropbox so it's on their server and I can access it anywhere.

I guess if I had looked at the ad, I would have known what you were trying to say. Sorry about that. It does look like it may have been a misprint. The fine print says 4:00, and I don't see anything about staggering the sales.
-
I think I might be reading this wrong. To me, you're saying the same thing twice - the sales starts at 2:00 Thursday.

I know Sony, and I trust them, so I would probably lean that way...but the Panasonic blue-ray player is $10 cheaper. Can you tell me why you would choose the Sony over the Panasonic?

I don't think you are being unreasonable. I have never had to balance a blended family like that, so my opinion may not count, but it seems to me you have put a lot of thought in to it and you are doing the best you can. As far as how many gifts is reasonable, well, that depends on what you have to spend. Maybe you could make sure they all open the same amount of gifts when you have Christmas together, and give your younger 2 their extras when it's just y'all (while the other kids are with their other families). I don't know that you don't already do it that way, but it's a thought. I think I would have to tell them they are grown men and they should really start acting like it.

Thank you so much!

I have gotten some good deals from them online on the main GD forums. I've never experienced their BF sales though
-
Ah, thank you. I conveniently skipped the MIR part. LOL. Walmart it is for those little babies.

We don't go to Penney's on BF, but I will definitely be trying to grab a few of these things online. I wish I could remember how fast they shipped last year. I need some of those 1.5 qt slow cookers for making Christmas candy. I planned to try to get them at Walmart, but I'd rather buy them online and not have to worry about it.

I've been going back and forth on getting my son an xBox One, and the gift card deal may sway me that direction. I wish the apparel showed prices.

For a limited time, save $50 on the Amazon Echo with the Amazon.com Store Card or Amazon Prime Store Card. Here’s how:1. Add the Amazon Echo to your cart. 2. It's on the Amazon home page

Right now, you can get $50 off the Echo if you buy it with an Amazon CC. In your opinion, do you think their BF deals will be better than that? I don't want to be kicking myself in 3 weeks because I could have saved another $30 .

I'm not very good at design ideas. I really like a lot of these. My suggestion would just be bright colors.

We never go to Kohl on BF, but I ordered several things online last year.
-
I ordered an ornament for the OE last night, and I am just so excited about it! I hope the recipient loves it as much as I do.
-
I've never heard of this store - do we usually get an ad for them? At any rate, if I could I would totally get those adult coloring books for my daughter in law and those mega tubes of smarties for the grandbabies . I wonder where I might find something like that around here.

My son (now 20) loves the COD games, but I do hear a lot of cussing when he's playing (and not all of it is from him, lol). There may be a way to censor it though, I don't really know anything about it.

So excited!

Our menu is pretty much the same every year as well. There are generally 30-35 of us crowded in to my aunt's itty bitty house. She does the turkey & dressing, and everyone else is assigned something else. There's always mashed potatoes, gravy, salad, rolls, deviled eggs, ham (sometimes), candied yams (yuk ), green beans, all your normal, expected fare. Then there are various desserts - a few pies, snickers salad, etc. Someone is assigned pop, someone else is in charge of paper plates & plasticware. It all works .

I saw a few things I would be interested in, if we only had a Meijer, lol. So, is Meijer kind of like Gordman's?
-
I'm pretty sure they've never opened super early on Friday, and they are closed on Thursday. So, their regular hours and they'll start their sale on Wednesday. Last year's ad shows the same thing.
-
There's one in the Tru-Value BF ad - but not that cheap.

Surely the same employees that close at 2:00 won't have to be there to open at 5:00, right?
