  1. I am a Prime member and I usually buy boatloads of stuff off Amazon during the holidays - but this year my kiddos are getting bigger and they have iPod Touches and Nintendo 3DS on their lists....electronic things I've never had to pay attention to before. Does Amazon normally PM these types of items for BF? If so, is it normally through Lightning Deals? On BF or in the days before? I have them already loaded up in my cart and check it daily for price adjustments...I'm just not sure when Amazon will start throwing out the deals (if they do). Anyone have any insight?
  2. I was actually there over the weekend to grab a couple soaps and I talked to the SA about their BF sale, the bag, etc. She said that BF is the only day they allow you use MULTIPLE coupons in one transaction, even with the purchase of the bag. I told her I had a collection of three $10 off $30 and one Free item coupon and she said indeed I could stack them and get the bag (as long as I ended up spending the $40 in the end after coupons, then the bag is another $20).
  3. Woo hoo! Got the Kindle...officially finished shopping for one of my kids!

    Disney Store?

I've been waiting for this one too..my DS3 has suddenly become obsessed with Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas, and I want to get him some stuff. They are having an "online preview sale" right now: http://www.disneystore.com/mn/1001256/ , and a week of deals starting next week Monday (the 25th). But so far, no word on any specific "% off the whole store"...I felt like they used to do 30% off everything in the store...but it's been a couple years since I've shopped there. I'm keeping my eyes out though!

    Old Navy

$5 fleeces were ALWAYS on my list....for the last 4 years I'd stay up, hop on ON's website at 12am, and pick up $50 in $5 fleeces for my kids (5 apiece). Not this year....most of their fleeces for kids are about $13.
  6. Thanks so much all! Does anyone know if they allow you to use coupons on top of the BF sales? I know with Children's Place, they normally do 30% off the whole store AND you can use coupons on top of that. Wasn't sure if Justice does something similar?
  7. My DD is getting bigger and is really bugging for some clothes from Justice for Christmas....I have never shopped there before - does anyone know what types of sales they normally have on BF? Can you use coupons on top of the BF sale prices? Thanks!!!
  8. I am a little sad about it, but will still go out on BF and shop. I feel like I probably won’t get all the stuff I want if the stores are opening Thursday evening, but it does mean the lines will be shorter by the time I get out there J For the past couple of years I’ve had pretty good luck still getting all the stuff I want even if I go out a couple hours after the doorbusters start, so I’m hoping I have the same luck this year. We’ve found that if we drive about 20 minutes to the next town over, the stores are a lot more calm and still have a good stock of stuff versus the stores in the main shopping plazas in our town, so hopefully the early opening times won’t affect that too much. SIL and I normally head out around 3am BF but depending on when other stores start opening, maybe we’ll try to head out a little bit earlier…around 1am or so. Just waiting for the rest of the ads to see how opening times play out, then we’ll make a game plan.
  9. For the last 4 years, I have gone to TCP on BF and bought all of my kids' clothes for the entire winter....for the past several years it's been 30% off the entire store, and you can use a coupon on top of that, and your 5% discount if you are a TCP cardholder. They've opened at 4am for the last 2-3 years.
  10. I had the fleece half-zips loaded in my cart and shortly after midnight hit "refresh" and the prices flipped. Kids' were all $5, same as the in-store price! Yay!
  11. I don't think you can on a regular basis, but on BF I'm always able to, as they put the whole store for 30% off and then take coupons on top it that day. Our store usually opens at 4AM, but I am not sure if that is chain-wide.
  12. Are you a Plus member by any chance? They were trying to sell me a Plus membership when I was there the other day, and said they'd have a special sale for Plus members only before BF.
  13. I won't leave the house til about 3:45am-ish on BF. I refuse to cut Thanksgiving with my family short, and usually by 8PM on Tgiving I'm so full and sleepy that going anywhere sounds wholly unappealing Thankfully I'm not in the market for anything "major" this year, so I think going out Friday AM will suit me just fine. Last year, I actually went to a lot of the major retailers (Target, WM, TRU etc) in the morning around 8AM and there was still lots of stuff left! I found everything I wanted and the stores were dead, I didn't even have to wait in a line to cash out! I'm hoping that I have the same luck this year. I do think that the whole concept of Black Friday is dying....most stores are opening on Thanksgiving and starting doorbusters, etc before Friday even rolls around.
  14. I do know that, for the last few years, Children's Place offers 30% off everything for the first few hrs they are open....my SIL and I usually make that one of our first stops in the morning because you could also use coupons on top of the 30% discount. Haven't seen anything from them for this year yet though....
  15. We've been Sam's members for years...was just there on Sunday and (in our store, at least) they pro-rate the cost of the Plus membership....in January it's full price, and then every week they knock some $$ off. They offered it to me for $8 and some change on Sunday, which I turned down at the time but am now thinking I might just go for it...she did say that there would be BF preview sales for Plus members only...I had both my kids with me though and the 2 year old was ready to go so I just turned it down for the moment and left....now wishing I hadn't. Will probably head back today or tomorrow to sign up!

    Old navy

For years now I usually get up around 2AM on BF before I head out to the stores, and shop online at ON to get their $5 fleeces. I usually buy 4 for each kid and then a couple for me and the hubs. However I just looked at the website listed above and it says that the $5 fleeces are "in-store only", so now I'm not sure if the same sales will be online as they have in the stores? I'm going to be bummed if I don't get my $5 fleeces, and stopping at Old Navy on BF is not in the game plan...unless I do it much later in the day and by then I'm sure the store will be trashed. I guess we'll see how it plays out... I have had a few things get cancelled over the years from my ON BF order, but never an entire order....maybe a couple items....but I normally get most if not all of what I want (although the website can be pretty slow).
  17. That Bath and Body Works tote! I don't use BBW stuff that often so usually the prerequisite $60 purchase that you have to make to get the tote forces me to buy so much stuff that I give it away all year long as gifts, or let my 7 year old use it. Silly because, as I said...I don't use BBW stuff that often...but I still buy that tote EVERY year....
  18. Whichever one you get, I highly recommend getting the kind with the pop-out light. I bought one of the Amazon Kindle covers you are talking about, and never thought about how much I'd use that light....I use it ALL the time!! A quick google search shows them anywhere from $30-50, or starting around $10 on Ebay.
  19. I got the bag, it's the same one listed in their ad EXCEPT the little candle they pictured was not in it.
  20. BF was GREAT for me this year....I picked up SIL and we headed to the mal at 3:45AM for the 4AM opening of a few stores....we were hoping that, with the midnight openings, that the stores would be a little less chaotic than they have been in years past....and our wish came true!! The whole morning was amazing...no crowds, barely any traffic, no lines, and we both got everything we wanted! Picked up a bunch of stuff + our VIP bags at BBW, then down to Children's Place where everything was 30% off plus you could use coupons on top of that....I got a bag STUFFED with clothes for my kids for $139 (was at about $240 before discounts!). Drove to Elder Beerman right outside the city where absolutely no one was in the store but us....got the 3-crock cooker, a playhouse that you can color, the Isotoner Touch gloves, some fleece blankets for the kids. Back to the mall for the opening of Learning Express where I got DD6 a ton of books, Mad Libs, and a Mogo charm bracelet plus I had a $10 off coupon. Went to Target where they were completely out of everything, but then we ran to another Target about 10 min down the highway and they had EVERYTHING we wanted and even had doorbuster TVs and stuff left. Picked up more stuff for the kids, picture frames, new bed pillows. The went to Old Navy, they had tons of the $5 performance fleece for the kids plus a lot of other good deals so I cleaned up there. We went to Toys R Us where I got some Powerwheels for my youngest. Ran to Meijer to grab a couple grocery items and saw they had 40% off all athletic shoes and my husband's running shoes JUST tore so I got him a new pair too. I got everything on my list for today crossed off and am super happy!!!!
  21. I think the prices on the site today are for the Thursday-only sale. In previous years I have always stayed up and been able to get BF items from ON online on BF at the same prices as the store. If you look at their ad, the $15 jeans, $5 fleeces, $25 peacoats, etc are FRIDAY ONLY items.
  22. Hit up the sweater sale and so glad I did, walked out with 7 sweaters for $56. The line was ridiculous, all the way to the back of the store, but went by pretty fast. They had TONS of sweaters out all over the place, so people weren't congregated in one spot...it actually spread everything out very nicely. I was very pleased! I wish that they had done something for the kids too, as I would have grabbed even more.
  23. I'd love to grab those two DVD sets for my kids on Tuesday! Anyone know what time the Gold Box deals go live?
