  1. Canon Pixma iP4000 would be a great inkjet that can print photos. The ink replacement is very cheap for those, also.
  2. Advue 17" LCD 16ms Response - $239.99 - $50MIR = $189.99
  3. If he likes Bose, he will be blown away by the Sure E2C. They are $64.99 at Buy.com, but you can probably get the new customer discount to take $5 off.
  4. Viewsonic 12ms LCD Display - $239.99 shipped MS Wireless optical desktop 1000 - $42.99 shipped - $10 rebate = $32.99 Western Digital 60GB 2.5" Portable drive - $149.99 - $30 MIR - $119.99 (was $89.99 last week. ) Cretive Inspire T-3000 2.1 speakers - $39.99 + $13.50 shipping = 53.49 Total w/shipping = $446.46 (+$40 up-front before rebates) Edit: Sure, change your requirements. Now I have to rethink all this...
  5. Check out Craigslist for your area. Also, check our your local Target and Walmart. They usually have some that range from $100 - $150.
  6. OK, ok...I watch with her.
  7. Thanks, RossMAN. I'll look at the Toshiba. I don't want to pay for another subscription, so I definitely want to have TiVo basic. It's mostly for recording football games and Gilmore Girls (for my wife).
  8. From the reviews I have found, it appears that the Humax may just be a TiVo brand box in a Humax shell. Can anyone tell if I can just go with the free TiVo basic on this box? Like I said, I'm a newb to this, so lots of dumb questions are coming your way.
  9. Is this Humax TiVo and better / worse than the TiVo brand box? It seems to be fairly comparable. I don't know anything about DVRs, so I guess I'm going to need good recommendations.
  10. Tivo 2 80 hour Is this a good deal on a DVR? I was thinking of picking up that Sony 5-device learning remote, and saw the Tivo advertise with it. Seems like a good price to me, but what do I know.
  11. Compuvest has pretty poor ratings at Reseller Ratings. The price is good. I have a Panasonic mini-shelf unit that is excellent. My parents have an RCA that is pretty good, too. I think they got theirs at Radio Shack. Mine was purchased from Amazon.
  12. The size thing really depends on the size of the room you are watching it in. In my living room, we have a 25" TV (4:3), and it's perfect, if not a bit larger than necessary. This is a great deal on an LCD TV. I have been tempted, but I really don't need something like that. Just the thought of being able to connect an HTPC through DVI, my xbox, and my DVD player makes it so very "justifiable."
  13. The cheapest 32" LCD that buy.com has is just over $1200. I don't know anything about Soyo's TV's. As far as I knew, they just made computer motherboards and some other various pieces of hardware.
  14. Looks like this is probably it: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1446041&Sku=S450-8320
  15. Pull the battery out of the phone, and there's usually a tag under there with the phone model, serial number, and other info.
  16. Don't get the Moto headset. I have one, and it doesn't stay in place well. The earpiece is on sort of a hinge, and it wears out very quickly.
  17. I was thinking the same thing. I have EP I on VHS, but I would gladly get rid of that.
  18. Toshiba 27" That one is a little over your price, but Toshiba makes great TVs. Better than Sony, IMO. Otherwise, you can get a 25-27" RCA or Phillips just about anywhere for $150-$200. If you aren't real picky about what you get, just go to Target or Walmart and stand in from of them. Pick out the one you like the picture and sound on and go for it.
  19. Thanks for doing this, Brad! I don't believe I've ever seen a deal site willing to do anything like this, plus give to their members.
  20. Not available online in my area, but I am going to stop by the B&M on the way home today to take a look. Thanks for the heads up!
  21. Monster Charger and Batteries at Circuit City Circuit City currently is running a really good deal on a charger with 4AA batteries. $14.99 for the set is hard to beat.
  22. Why not buy the A510 from Dell, and use the CC gift cards for a case, extra memory, and rechargeable batteries? I just say that, because CC is overpriced, usually, on digital cameras. However, these are all good pick, just look up the reviews on them and see which have features that you like the best. Canon A510, Canon A520 (was in your price range a couple of weeks ago, I'm sure it will get there again), Sony DSC-S60, Nikon Coolpix 4600.
  23. Save an additional 10% if you pay with Dell DPA using coupon code 4J$PH2DZ8SZ12F. Honestly, if you want a camera that will last a long time, go with the Canon. Both my dad and grandpa went with Kodaks in the past year, and they loved them. They don't age well, though, and they are already starting to have quality issues with their images.
  24. Go to Dell Home, and search for A510. Add the Canon A510 to your cart, and use the Dell E&A $20 off $150 or more coupon. This gets the camera down to $149.10. It is absolutely the best camera you can get in that price range.
  25. I'm not yet, but if Amazon runs some sort of special on the new Mac Mini, I will be.
